I loved this one! It was so swoon worthy and romantic! I can't recommend this one enough to people! It makes me want to read more from the author
This is an easy and enjoyable read. Based on the cover and title, I had an idea of what to expect and that's what I got. It's a great holiday read with interesting characters. I found Sam to be quite relatable. I'll definitely read it again and recommend it to anyone who wants a cute fast holiday read.
Hard working Chicago attorney Samantha needed a little mental break after high power case. She always has been even mannered until one case just got to her. So she was heading away from Chicago for some good wine, food and change of scenery until her car had a flat tire. She was stranded and trying her best to change a tire in pouring rain. When a stranger comes to rescues her.... She never got to know his name...
Connor Flaherty, a winemaker, single father is trying his best to keep his winery afloat. He has been having some legal issues with his stepmother who he adored. When Sam comes to help out Connor, he never expected to fall for her.
Sparks are flying between Connor and Sam. After losing his wife, Connor has difficult time adjusting to new relationship with Sam and Sam isn't sure if this relationship will work for both of them. She still has life in Chicago and work she needs to get back to. But this small town is growing on her and his daughter is pulling her heart strings.
While case is on going, Connor needs to find his way back to love. Will he be worth for Sam to fall in love?
It was sweet Christmas story about finding love again.
Thanks to Netgalley and Tule publishing for ARC in exchange for honest review.
Sam is heading to the small town where her boss' brother runs a Irish Winery in Indiana. Coming from Chicago, she ends up getting a flat tire when a gorgeous man stops to help her out. Of course, it ends up being the guy she is expecting to meet with, to help out with a legal dispute with his step mother. A good story, and light fun. There are a few serious issues, but they are balanced nicely, making this a quick and easy Christmas read. Highly recommend this book and author. First in the series, and with four brothers expect there will be three more books.
I did not care for this book - mostly because the heroine felt waaaaay older than 32 to me and that made her almost impossible to connect with for me. There was also too much negative body image talk - even just the first few pages turned me off.
What a fun and sweet holiday read with great characterizations. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and watching relationships bloom and tough challenges unwound.
I received a review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Synopsis from the Publisher/NetGalley.com
Winemaker and single father Conor Flaherty is determined to make this Christmas holiday special for his daughter even though his family’s winery, Four Irish Brothers, is facing some challenges.
High-octane Chicago attorney Samantha Hayes is looking forward to some delicious food, fine wine, small town charm, and a break from her hectic big city life when she agrees to do a favor for her boss and help his younger brother with a lawsuit that’s been slapped on his family’s historic winery in River’s Edge. She’s not expecting that her sexy new client will have a smile that will melt her heart and remind her that there’s more to life than work.
Sam falls hard for Conor, his daughter and the small, friendly town, but can she trust her instincts and risk her heart? Sam hasn’t seen a lot of happy-ever-afters in her life, but Conor and the magic of Christmas make her want to believe.
I absolutely loved this sweet Christmas romance. Conor Flaherty is one of four brothers who have inherited the Four Irish Brothers winery located about six hours outside of Chicago. Conor is a widower with a sweet four year old daughter, Ali. His wife, Emmy, had died of cancer two years earlier and he has been shut off to life since then. Little did he know how much his life could change when he helps a stranger change her tire.
Samantha Hayes is a high power attorney, referred to as the Dragon Lady. She is normally the one who sticks it to two-timing, cheater husbands but after a tragic event, she isn't sure she wants that life anymore. When she meets Conor and Ali and the sweet people of River's Edge, she begins to think her happy place might not be in Chicago.
This is a wonderful sweet story of healing and love and Christmas magic. There is no graphic sex or violence in this book. There is the occasional swear word. I love the hometown feel of this book and the goodness of the people in this little town.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my review.
Rating: 4.5/5
Well I have another author who I need to keep an eye out for - I loved this story and can't wait to read more in this series and by Nan Reinhardt.
The Flahertys are four Irish brothers who, you've guessed it, have a winery. Their ownership of the winery is under threat as the children of their step mother are encouraging her to claim a share in it after the death of her husband. Samantha, aka Sam, has been sent by her boss, another of the Flaherty brothers, to see if she can help sort it all out with his younger brother, Conor, who runs it.
This story introduces them all but the main focus is on Conor, a widower with a delightful, precocious, scene-stealing daughter, Ali. Sam hadn't anticipated falling for the handsome Conor and he certainly hadn't expected to feel attracted to anyone else after his wife's death. He has a smile that she finds irresistible but should she keep fighting their attraction? Can she ever have a place of her own in the lives of Conor or Ali or is too much of theirs filled with memories? She's never been a mother and doubts her ability to take on the role effectively. Can Conor help her overcome her fears for them to find love and romance together as Christmas approaches? Can she help him keep the family winery?
I found this an endearing story with brilliant, believable characters and scenarios. The angst and turmoil, guilt and attraction, all have key roles in this emotional Christmas romance. Sam has to realise that life is a journey - there are many possibilities but no guarantees, however love is definitely worth taking a chance on. It is a loving, tender story of family, relationships and community in the lovely small town of River's Edge. I can't wait to read more by this author and in this series! This is a delightful festive read that I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for an endearing Christmas romance with great characters, pace and plot.
I requested and was given a copy of this book, via NetGalley. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.
I really loved this book. It was funny, sweet, charming and full of heart. I was taken in by the whole cast of characters. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
I kept trying to get into this story, but I just couldn't. The cover and blurb both had me really excited for this one. When I realized it also included a single dad, my excitement increased even more. Unfortunately me and this book never clicked. I feel like there were a lot of unnecessary details/backstory added and the descriptions of the scenery were a lot longer than necessary.
I voluntarily received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Sam (Samantha) is a high-powered attorney in need of something less taxing after a tragedy occurred during her last case. So the case her boss assigns her - helping his own family fight their stepsiblings for ownership of their family winery, seems to be just the thing to help her get some much needed r&r. But before she can even make it into town, her tire blows on the side of the road and strands her in the pouring rain. Luckily for her, Conor is driving by with his precious (and precocious) daughter in the backseat. As he rescues the beautiful woman, he suddenly realizes he's noticing a woman for the first time since his wife passed. But, he'll never see the gorgeous woman again, and it leaves him with a bit of regret.
Until the high-powered attorney his brother sent to help out their family turns out to be the beautiful woman he saved on the side of the road. Can a big city attorney and a grieving widower and single father make a relationship work this holiday season? Or will Sam head back to the city and leave them both with a broken heart?
I really liked this sweet, heartwarming and clean romance. It's full of small town charm, and Sam and Conor are a great couple. The secondary cast rounds out the story, and are interesting enough on their own that I can't wait for their stories, too. So if you like your holiday stories à la Hallmark Channel, A Small Town Christmas should be right up your alley.
A Small Town Christmas by Nan Reinhardt. The perfect Christmas story. A little girl looking for a new mommy. I loved the story. If you love Christmas stories with children in them you will love this Christmas story. This story left you wanting to read more of Nan Reinhardt. This story is a continuing romance but can be read alone too.
Christmas, romance, and wine? Sign me up! I really enjoyed this and can't wait to read more about the winery in future books.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author. All opinions are my own.

Part of a series: Four Irish Brothers Winery
Standalone
HEA
Epilogue
I look forward to reading more from this author and the other books in this series.
Sam and Conor first meet when he stops in a rain storm to change her flat tire, and he feels himself coming out of the shell he has been in since his wife passed, yet he doesn’t know this woman or if he will ever see her again.
I loved how Conor’s young daughter Ali was so sure that Sam should marry them, and I also loved how Sam’s Aunt Bette gave her advice how Sam and Conor could make things work by telling her tidbits from her own life and advice with that down home feel.
I recommend this book be read snuggled up with your favorite hot drink and a few tissues, cheers!
This is a sweet Christmas romance that will make you go all sappy and make you eat all the food! It is brilliant to get you in the Christmas mood. I did enjoy the story overall, the characters were well fleshed out and loved Sam's relationship with Conor's daughter Ali! Sam and Conor were cute as a couple as well and gave me all the feels and it was obviously corny. Although I did enjoy it, I felt it was a bit too long and drawn out for a story with such a simple plot, so that's where it lost stars for me because it felt almost like waddling through water and I even contemplated putting it down. 3.5 stars
This is a cute small town story that starts a new series. Conor is a single father that has many memories of his wife who he lost to soon. He is not looking for anything except to raise his daughter and run his families winery.
Samantha is sent in to Four Irish Brothers winery to help Conor per her boss.
Conor and Samantha are great together and seeing there relationship blossom while including Conors daughter was heartwarming.
** I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**
I really enjoyed this book by a new to me author. The characters were likeable. Especially the precious little girl Ali! I loved the premise of the book told with humor, love and definitely a Happy ending. This a first book of a new series. Of which I will be reading the rest as they come out!
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my open and honest opinion.
Samantha (Sam) Hayes is burnt out from her career as a family lawyer. Connor Flaherty and his brothers are engaged in a battle for their family owned winery. They meet when he changes her tire on a long, lonely stretch of highway leading to the winery town. Little do they know that they are destined to work together to save the winery and to find peace and love with each other. There are challenges to be met for both of them making an engaging and endearing story for all readers.
Sam needs a break from her life as a high powered Chicago attorney. When her boss asks her to travel to Rivers Edge to handle a legal situation at his family winery, she is more than ready. When she meets Conor she feels an instant connection. Spending time in Rivers Edge makes her want more for herself. For someone who does not believe in happily ever after, she finds herself thinking about just that. Conor lost his wife two years ago and has been a shell of his former self. For some reason Sam makes him want to really live again. He has put his daughter's needs before his own for so long. Just maybe is is time for him to take a chance on his own happiness. Great read. I especially love all of the Chicago references since I live in a suburb of Chicago.
