This picture book had very bright pictures and gun characters. A fun read for kids.

Fine, colorful, pleasing illustrations and a sweet story. Little White Fish queries his sea creature friends, one by one, asking their opinion on the most beautiful thing in the sea. Is it the sea anemones, pearls, coral, the curly tail of the seahorse, sea shells, tender water plants? What? In the end, the friends agree it is watching the beautiful sunset together.

Thank you Clavis and NetGalley for this review copy. My older son loved the original Little White Fish, and I bet I read it 1,000 times. I was excited to see this one, and it's just as much fun. The simple text and bright illustrations make this a perfect book for the youngest kids.

Little White fish is a cute and super-friendly creature who would love to know what the most beautiful thing in the ocean is. Little Octopus, Little Turtle, Little Goldfish, Little Seahorse, Little Starfish and Little Snail have different opinions, all of which are valid and true.
I loved the layout, pictures and the font of this sweet and tender book. There is a lot of repetition, which is very important for toddlers who can ‘read along’ with their parent or teacher.
Simply enchanting.

This was a really good book. The colors are vibrant and it was such a good story. My daughter and son loved it.

This was a cute book but it wasn't nearly long enough! That's the downside of children's board books. They're just getting going and then it's all over. The illustrations are very pretty and it makes for a visually great book for toddlers.

Cute, short and to the point. My kids liked it and thought it was sweet. The artwork is effective and is beautifully done. Good for a toddler book.

3 stars.

I liked the illustrations in this and the story was quite good. I would have liked to have seen a few more sea creatures and animals and makes me wonder if pages were missing in my digital copy as it was quite short and it seems like it's ment to have 36 pages but my copy didn't. Though with having said that, it was still a fun read as it is. I can easily see kids liking this.

I really liked to cover and the illustrations inside. I honestly did not really enjoy the fist part and how repetitive it was, but then again it is intended for kindergarten and 1st grade children. However, I loved the ending. I didn't imagined it to be the beautiful sunset and friendship. I will defiantly be reading this book to my students and the other 3 books in the series.

Octopus asks Little White Fish what is the most beautiful thing in the sea. Before Little White Fish answers, the other marine animals answer. Little White Fish's answer, of course, steals the show! The illustrations are beautifully drawn. It's certain to please young readers. I received an electronic copy through NetGalley with the expectation of an honest review.

Thank you Netgalley for this copy.
It's a lovely book for everyone, not only children. How the little white fish and his friends find beautiful everything around them, but most of all, being together.

I loved the high-contrast illustrations of this book, and the toddler who read it with me was eager to reach out and touch the screen to point out the white fish and the colorful ocean creatures. I'd love to see this as a board book!

It's not easy to review this book. I feel that it misses a beginning, an introduction to the different characters, before we stumbled into the first dialogues.

On the first page, the dialogue starts with "See, anemones are so beautiful". Then the Octopus asked the Fish: "What do you think is the most beautiful?". At this point, I swipe left, thinking I missed a page, but it really was the first page of the book. I was confused --what does the octopus means by the most beautiful? Of plants? Of the things around him? Then, as I kept turning the pages, I started getting more informations about the questions asked, and overall the theme of the book, which was "what is the most beautiful thing in the ocean?"

Finishing the book, I realized that it was a book about listening to your friends, opening your mind with what other think is beautiful, and enjoying beauty together. What didn't work is that there was a hierarchy on the idea of what one finds beautiful. I didn't feel like watching a sunset together had to necessarily be the most beautiful thing for all animals. I feel like it disregarded each animal's way of enjoying beauty, wether on their own or together, and introduced hierarchy when it didn't have to be.

There are better books to explore the idea of being together, helping each other, and enjoying people's company, but they don't feel enigmatic at first and then hierarchical in the end, like in this book.

A pleasing informative picture book.

Guido Van Genechten's Little White Fish and the Beautiful Sea is a great book to introduce toddlers to the world beneath the sea.
Cute dialogue and bright illustrations move the storyline to a fun ending.

Simple. Perfect. All the sea friends tell one another what they think is beautiful in the sea. It’s a simple conversation, with lots of love and meaning.

Thanks to NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for the ebook ARC of Little White Fish and the Beautiful Sea by Guido Van Genechten in exchange for an honest review.

Everything in the sea is beautiful. Little Goldfish adores coral. And Little Starfish loves the seashells. But what does Little Fish think is the most beautiful of all?

I give this book a rating of 5 stars. I read this book to my 4 year old daughter who really enjoyed it. I thought it was very cute and very colourful illustrations.

Little White Fish swims around in the sea/ocean asking his friends what they think is the most beautiful thing. The illustrations in this book are beautiful. The background is black as the bottom of the ocean is dark, but the animals are extremely colourful and vibrant. As they explain what they find is most beautiful, the reader learns about other things you would find in the sea. A lovely book for families to read together. What a great book to read to children to introduce them to sea life, but I can see this being shared before a trip to the local aquarium or perhaps the seaside. My granddaughter watches a television show with fish and animals so she especially enjoyed this book. The publisher, Clavis Publishing, generously provided me with a copy of this book to read. The rating, ideas and opinions are my own.

Everything is colorful, including the titles, to contrast the main character. The tiny sea creature wanders around its small part of the ocean while all the others talk about what they think is the most beautiful object in the sea.
The book ends with a classic friendship motif, but more than anything it’s likely to inspire trips to the aquarium, whether the parents had that in mind or not.

I’m loving these books. This is the second book I have read by this author. Simply written and easy for little ones to follow. This one teaches the little ones about sea creatures as well as about friendships. Again the illustrations are so beautiful. Very colourful and inviting to little ones. Will definitely be recommending these books to some of my friends who work in nurseries with 2 to 4 year olds.

All the sea creatures tell what is the most beautiful thing in the sea. At last the little white fist also tells about his thoughts. Nice illustrations.
