At the heart of Units, there is a gem of an idea, unfortunately the execution just didn't work for me, from the setting to the characters. I did really struggle with the idea that social media giants of today will still be around in the next couple of decades and the characters themselves were either paper thin or unlikeable.
However, it could just be that I'm not among the novel's targeted audience.
I also felt it badly needed an editor many times throughout.
