If you like your romance with a side of cheese, then this is the story for you.

It's a sweet tale of a single B&B owner who falls in love with a rich, handsome guest. The overall storyline was cute but the characters lacked depth and everything was just too sunshine and rainbows for me, personally. The recipes included throughout the story was a unique idea, however the focus on cooking came at odd times within the story occasionally and seemed like a forced effort. Too bad this couldn't have been more central to the story without taking the focus away from forward movement.

This was a miss for me but I think some people will find it a pleasant read.

Thank you #NetGalley for offering this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was an easy read, it was fun and not too taxing. Daniel was a bit of a strange fish at first, he was difficult to warm to, even dislikable. But he mellowed in The Neverland Inn and although he and Sarah don't hit it off at first in Spindrift Cove, it doesn't take too long for the winds to change and something to blossom between them. I liked Sarah's character and I liked the close knit community of Spindrift Cove although I feel it might be a little claustrophobic as a home town, in the long term. This was a fun read, not complicated, didn't require too much concentration. It's a good poolside read.

Romance, clean; Contemporary
Sarah's lovely little hideaway inn with her sweet disposition, cooking, and lovely location was a lovely place to visit. Sarah and Daniel's interactions, while off at first, made for a sweet romantic fall. The missing little girl pulling them together at last and finding a HEA not only for that family, but for their two lonely hearts. Some sweet romantic moments, lovely food, and nice town setting. A lovely escape into that small town life and away from the rat-race for Daniel. Finding his heart-home was a lovely fall and read.

A beautifully inspired story of having everything one thinks they want and truly having nothing they need at all... The Neverland Inn reminds me so much of a Hallmark, feel good movie that takes us into the lives of a woman who has everything she needs in a small Inn and a lawyer who has the world at his fingers, but finds it leaves much to be desired. When fate brings them together, egos clash and the peace seems far from, but as the serenity of the Inn and its homey atmosphere works their magic, love might not be far behind.

A delightful tale filled with love and surprises...

Thanks to the publisher for allowing me to review this beautiful story

Before I knew what this book was about, the cover was what really drew me to it.  I requested to review this book on NetGalley and was excited when I quickly was accepted.  The cover is so quaint and whimsy. It automatically has a cozy feeling attached to it; coupled with the title, the book pulled me in.  I was expecting a quick and light read packed with elements that I personally love in stories and look forward to reading at night or with a cup of tea and a blanket.  Where I live right now, it is the hight of the warm spring season, so this book with the birds singing and cool breezes was pretty perfect.

This story is set in and near Carmel, California, Spindrift Cove, California, and very quickly in San Francisco, California.  Basically, the California Coast is the main setting.  Daniel Cavanaugh is getting ready for his big wedding day, but before he must travel along the coast to his late Grandmother's house to finalize plans for the estate and sign off on the auction of the seaside house and the assets.  Daniel is having trouble letting go of the past since his Grandmother was the only family member with whom he connected, as well as make sure that he is ready to get married and lead the life and profession his father put forth for him.  In that tumble of emotions and uncertainty, Daniel books a couple of nights at The Neverland Inn to get away from his problems and his family.  While there, he meets the inn's owner and her wily dog Muttley.  The Neverland Inn's owner, Sara is also facing some of her own personal demons.  She is young, but getting older, and single.  Prospects in the small town are not as good as the city and she is starting to feel the wear and tear of age, financial struggle, and future uncertainty.  Perhaps having Daniel at the bed and breakfast is just what she needed.  The Neverland Inn seems to be where Daniel was meant to come and his and Sara's lives are forever changed.

What I liked about this book is simple; its a light read with a bit of a dramatic section at the end pertaining to one of the townspeople's daughters.  There isn't anything super spectacular about this book; the dialogue is good and almost realistic, the characters are approachable and relatable and seem like real people you would meet in a small coastal town, it does pull on some heartstrings, and the story itself pans out well with a happy ending.

I think my favorite part overall was the general setting of the California Coast, Spindrift Cove, and The Neverland Inn.  These are all places that I would love to at least visit or even live in.  There is a large portion of the story that occurs in a huge thunderstorm and I appreciate how well that section was written.  It felt like I could hear the thunder and that there was a storm outside.  I love when stories work to incorporate aspects of the weather in their plots; it is a smart way to pull in the reader and create tangible aspects in writing.  I was especially glad about this since a lot of the rest of the book didn't really work to incorporate those things in.  I feel like, being so near the ocean and redwood forests, which are both mentioned, that there could have been a little more sensory development when it came to the setting of the bed and breakfast.  I would have loved to know more about what it looked like as Daniel drove up, what the air smelled like, and even how the inside of the bed and breakfast looked.  When Daniel finally arrived there, I honestly didn't even realize it because there isn't a good exposition of that in the story.  He kinda just puts the directions into his GPS and then he's standing at the base of a ladder on the property.

Overall, not a bad story.  It was a nice break from some heavier books I have been reading and from some science fiction.  I am giving this book 3 stars, not because of anything bad or wrong, just for the missed opportunities throughout.  There were some places near the end where the dialogue was just getting too unbelievable and there were places throughout for some setting and sensory development.  Otherwise, fun read and it helped me get away for a little bit and do something I enjoy.

I liked this story about an Inn in California where the pace is slow and relaxed. Neverland Inn has one guest suite to rent and and owner Sarah treats her guests like family. (The food sounds delicious and you'll want to snack as you read). Daniel comes to town to settle his grandmother's estate and finds the small town and pace calling to him. How can he possibly give up his law practice with the family firm, and convince his high maintenance fiance to move to this little slice of heaven. I liked the characters and the setting sounds heavenly. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I did not particularly enjoy this book, although I loved the premise behind it. I felt that too much time was spent talking about food and recipies. I also just didn't feel the romance between the two main characters. They went from animosity to love pretty quickly and I didn't quite follow. Finally, the major complication in the story was solved much too easily at the end.

It was a good effort and I could see reading a book by K.C. Grant again. However, I probably won't read this one a second time.

Reasons why I liked this book:

First things first, l would like everyone, who does take the time out to read this review, to just sit back and admire the absolutely gorgeous cover picture!! Isn't is just absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful?! 😍💞 I love, love, love this picture. Just makes my imagination run wild!

Second, reading this book reminded me of the Hallmark romance movies that I love to watch.....you know the kind of movies where you know from the start what the end will be like (happy duhh!) but you still love to watch them because you don't want to miss out on the journey leading to that happy ending? If yes, then yaayy you are a sucker for romance like me 😁, if no, oh well then....😐.

Third, it mentions food. Not only does it mention food, the book also includes delicious, easy to make recipes of dishes which the leading lady, Sarah whips up in each of the chapters preceding it for our guests and leading man Daniel Cavanaugh.

Fourth, because it is such a simple, sweet story and I liked how the theme of Neverland/ Peter Pan was woven subtly and cleverly into the story line and how it helps bring people together.

All in all, it was a nice, cosy, winter read. Thank you NetGalley, Covenant Communications and the author K.C. Grant for providing me with a copy to read.

The beginning starts off with the funeral of Daniels grandmother. An event met by few tears by his tough as nails father . Daniel feels like he has everything in life but yet nothing going for him

First, thanks to #NetGalley for the opportunity to read an e-galley of this book. I had never heard of author, K. C. Grant, but the title of this book drew me in. I have always loved stories around Peter Pan, so i thought I might enjoy this.

I was immediately drawn in to the story because it takes place in a California coastal community, near where I grew up. The story line immediately sucked me in, and I found I couldn't put the book down! I carried my kindle with me everywhere so I could continue to read the story.

I found myself laughing out loud, crying (out loud), and feeling at times stressed with the twists and turns of the story.

I also love the fact that there are recipes at the end of several chapters! They look and sound absolutely delicious and will give them a try!

I would highly recommend this book to anyone, and i will be going and downloading K.C. Grants other books as well! Well done!

A sweet, enjoyable read. No real complaint, but nothing overwhelmingly awesome either. Well written and a nice way to spend a few hours. I would pick up other books by this author.

The Neverland Inn by K. C. Grant is a wonderful love story, that I really enjoyed. Daniel Cavanaugh has his life all planned out, or at least his parents do. Daniel goes to Spindrift Cove after his grandma's death and stays at Neverland Inn to rethink his life. The Inn's owner Sarah opens Daniel's eyes to a different type of life. I really enjoyed this book. If you are looking for a sweet love story I recommend this book.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Sarah owns and runs a small bed and breakfast, The Neverland Inn. Daniel spends time at the inn and learns to embrace the love for life that he used to enjoy. With the death of his grandmother, Daniel is somewhat lost and not happy in his current high powered life full of unrealistic expectations. This book weaves in recipes that Sarah cooks for her guests. Unlike recipes in other books, these are not pretentious but sound delicious. Sarah and Daniel grow to like one another and develop and interest but Daniel has decisions to make. This was a very enjoyable and heartfelt book.
