Suddenly Mine
Montgomery Brothers #8
Samantha Chase
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Outstanding!,!! Pretty sure I could leave this review right here. I’ve enjoyed the Montgomery clan, their fun, family, love, it’s all there but I think Christian Montgomery May have stolen my favourite family member. Samantha has created a beautifully written story, that had everything from fun and laughs to heartbreak an pd those little flutters in your belly…
Christian Montgomery is a workaholic, so much like his father, his life revolves around work, work and work. Other than a stunning redhead he enjoys watching surf in the mornings that fill his morning coffee time, it is inky his family who he makes time with.
Sophie Bennington has run from her childhood home after devastating news ruined everything she thought was the truth. Now she’s living in California, liking for a job, a new life. Picking up a job as a corporate health nurse for Montgomery’s is a dream. Discovering Christian is the boss is an added bonus, his body of lusciousness is gods gift to women.
When to two meet at the beach, the chemistry is scorching hot.and it continues to grow especially when Christian Falls desperately ill at at the office and it is Sophie who steps in to help, cementing their connection a little more. But while both carry family secrets and issues it isn’t long before their sweet romance turns to crap.
In a story that had so many twists and turns, it will keep you up all night wanting to finish, while not wanting it to end. Christian might show off as a douchebag but his underlying issues creates another side to this man, you’re bond to fall in love with too. Sophie is a breath of fresh air, while being ferocious.

Part of the Montgomery Brothers series, but can be read as a standalone. Christian is a workaholic, who is tired of pleasing a never happy father. Sophia is a recent California transplant, intent on trying new things. She’s also a nurse, which comes n handy when Christian has an anxiety attack. They become close, and then father issues (on both sides) affect their relationship. Characters are so appealing and normal, you’re really rooting for them to figure it out. It’s definitely a feel good romance, and the beach setting is wonderful. Samantha Chase has become one of my auto buy authors.

Suddenly Mine is the eighth book in the Montgomery Brothers series by Samantha Chase. I have read other books by the author, but none from this particular series. The main reward for return readers is the understanding of Montgomery family dynamics and some of the characters. I was able to jump right in and enjoy the read.
Christian Montgomery is burnt out—the family business might be his entire world, but his father's judgment means Christian never stops working. His only respite is gazing at the beach and the carefree surfers riding the waves, especially the curvy redhead who's caught his attention.Sophia Bennington has just fled from her small Kansas town to California, where she's trying her best to embrace her new beginning. Soon Christian and Sophia find one another, and it feels like sanctuary. But when their difficult pasts catch up to them, will they run away from each other?
Suddenly Mine is a sweet romance that deals with some very real topics, and glosses over others. I like that Sophie and Christian each have some family issues and part problems that make their coming together more challenging. I thought Christian's work habits and relationship with his father were handled very well, and I liked the way the rest of the family supported each other was great. Sophie is sweet and sunny, but still more than able to put her foot down and stand up for herself, and does what is best for herself and others. I liked the set up. and the characters. I thought the conflicts they had were very realistic, and I thought the tension and resolution were well done. I guess the thing that bothered me is not all that important, but I did not like the ignoring all possible money issues. Sophie is struggling financial, but just kind of goes along with some pricey adventures with no real comment. She is aware of the financial differences between her and Christian, which she worries about once or twice, but only in the context of wondering if he will look down on her because of something rather than in a how will I pay for this way. That bothered me on several occasions.
Suddenly Mine is sweet but heart wrenching in some ways. I believe fans of the author and series will greatly enjoy it, but it did not wow me.

Christian and Sophie were amazing! Even with the struggles, they found a way to try new things and become a couple. You could see them changing and growing closer every day. A wonderful reminder to stop and be grateful everyday.

Another amazing read by Samantha. I love the Montgomery family so much but we don’t know much about Christian. I was looking forward to getting to know him and it was worth the wait. Besides being a workaholic he has a heart of gold. I love that he has secretly been watching Sophie while she surfed. Sophie is such a giver. This book will bring you love but also heartache. Be ready to ride the roller coaster.

I loved this book. No messing around and game playing between characters. Christian and Sophie were perfect. I couldn't put down the book at all. Samantha Chase has such talent. Please give me more.

I'm going to have to come right out and say that this is probably one of my most favorite Samantha Chase books. Christian is the guy I want on my side, LOL. He and Sophie just fit from the start and their relationship had a natural, believable progression. Samantha Chase NEVER disappoints!!!!!

Like most Samantha Chase books I have read this was a quick and easy read even though it had some pretty emotional moments.. I have read a few of the Montgomery Brothers books before so I was already familiar with Christian and his matchmaking family. I always feel like Samantha Chase does a great job of created characters who compliment each other and Sophie and Chase certainly do that. Samantha Chase has become one of my "one click" authors so I will be anxiously awaiting her next book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I realized going back to the cover of this book just how perfect it was! It is totally the image I got in my head reading it. I love this series and am always excited when I see another book from this author.
You can’t help but feel for the both of them. Christian because he is killing himself trying to the perfect job in the firm. Sophia because of the secrets the town and family kept from her. And these two find each other at just the perfect time. We watch them fall in love and start to change for the better. But will it be enough?
Ms. Chase as usual has impeccable writing and ability to pull the reader into stories. Will always be one of my favorites!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book provided by NetGalley.

Wow! A fantastic emotionally and exciting fast pace second chance at love for both characters romance. This book will take its readers on an emotional rollercoaster ride. You won’t want to miss it.

Oh how I love the workaholic Christian and the free spirited Sophie together.
Christian Montgomery is miserable. Sure he kinda likes his job but why was he helmed with being the one Montgomery to take over the family business? How did his brother and sister get out of the constant scrutiny that he seems to always be under from their dad.
Although he's been in San Diego for a while. It still isn't his home. He works too much to date and having his dad breathing down his neck constantly doesn't help.
Sophie is ready to take control of her life. She moved from Kansas to San Diego to try and find herself and to get away from the whispers through her small town. It's time for her to learn new things, like surfing and to put herself out there.
Christian has seen this red head surfing (miserably) for the past couple of weeks and the fantasies of meeting the beautiful woman seem so out of reach. But when he sees her take a stumble and doesn't come up right away he runs to help save her. The only thing is she didn't really need saving.
Fate seems to be on their side as the two meet again the next day... but Sophie was on an interview and Christian was having a panic attack. The new nurse for the company was none other that Christian's fantasy - Sophie.
I loved how the two of them were broken in different ways but very much a like. They seems to be the calm to each others storms and I loved the chemistry between them. So much happens in this book and if I hadn't been sick when reading I would have read it straight through because it was definitely a page turner.
The Montgomery Brothers in one of those family sagas that I devour as soon as I can get my hands on it. I love this series and adore Samantha Chase. Definitely a great read.

Christian Montgomery has been working for the family business since he was fifteen-years old. After a personal debacle while in the London office, he now heads up their San Diego branch. He eats, breathes and sleeps work, with his very limited relaxation time consisting of sitting on his deck of his beachside home watching the cute, red-head try to surf, enjoying the fact that what skill she lacks she more than makes up for with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. When he has a health scare at work that lands him in the ER, Christian is surprised to learn that that same red-head, Sophie, is his company's new corporate nurse. Although they're attracted to each other, Sophie and Christian agree that keeping things “just friends" is best for their work relationship. Well, we all know how those famous last words always work out.
Chase does it again with this newest book in the Montgomery series, and I adored Christian and Sophie's story! On the surface it looks like the typical billionaire office romance, but this book is oh, so much more. Both Christian and Sophie have issues with secrets being kept from them, as well as unresolved issues with their fathers. Look beneath the meet-cute romance and you’ll see two characters who challenge each other but support each other as they work to sort through personal challenges and old wounds in order to become their best version of self. Christian works to discover who he is outside of work, and Sophie is one of the most upbeat, admirable heroines I’ve ever read, facing every challenge head-on.
Although Chase leaves the details to the reader's imagination, the chemistry between Sophie and Christian crackles and sparks. Their story is by turns humorous and heartfelt, and poignant and insightful, and it had me fully engaged every step of the way. I certainly don’t mind a little sexy times with my romance, but this book is just right exactly the way it is. It leaves the focus on two people learning, growing and choosing to change, leaving the lessons they learn to linger with the reader. Christian and Sophie's journey is full of passion, heart and emotion, and sure to please the romantic in all of us.

Swept Away!! This story swept me up and touched all the emotions I love in a great romance. It is heartbreaking, hopeful, romantic. A beautiful story of two people going through some of life’s most devastating circumstances and trying to hold on to each other for survival. Couldn’t put it down!

Another fantastic story in the Montgomery series; this one focusing on Christian Montgomery. Christian is a workaholic running a division of the family business to the point that it becomes very unhealthy for him. Sophie is trying to find her footing and find a job having newly moved to San Diego from Kansas. When they first meet he has no idea that she is the nurse his mom and aunt have hired for a new wellness program in the office. The timing couldn’t be any better.
I love Christian and Sophie’s story from the slow burn of their relationship and the way she gets him to stop and smell the roses as they say; to the way they are there for each other in times of need, to their beautiful HEA. I felt ALL the feelings in this one but the best one was the feeling of joy at the way things turn out for them in the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book!
It is a captivating & emotional story.
It really pulled all my heartstrings.
Christian, is overworked, & extremely
stressed, always needing to prove
himself to his father.
Sophie, moved to San Diego, from Kansas. She left her hometown,
feeling betrayed by everyone.
After a chance meeting on the beach,
Christian & Sophie, are surprised,
the next time, they meet again.
Christian & Sophie, spent their time jogging, learning to surf, enjoying their friendship. But the attraction for one another, is undeniable.
Can Christian & Sophie, get past the pain in their lives, & grow stronger together from it?
The emotions, & their chemistry pulled me in, & kept me hooked, till the end.

Christian Montgomery really feels the pressure of being the head of the family business so much so that it becomes a health issue. He feels stuck in a position that he is not sure he really wants and is constantly butting heads with his judgmental father.
Sophia Bennington escapes her small town in Kansas and moves to California after a long held lie is revealed regarding her family. She feels betrayed.
Christian and Sophia both attempt to change their life plans. But after a tragic family loss Christian finds himself back in the same position he was before with some unanswered questions. Sophia faces an issue from her past and tries to move on. They both vow to start a new path for themselves.

I really enjoyed this book. Getting to know Christian & Sophie was a lot of fun. Their lives are definitely complicated & I like that everything isn’t wrapped up in a neat little bow along the way. This is a great book & I highly recommend reading it!

Suddenly Mine, by Samantha Chase is an enjoyable contemporary romance.
Christian Montgomery has a large extended family, yet he's still single and focused on work and appeasing his father. However, his life changes when he meets Sophia Bennington, who recently moved from a small mid-western town to California to start over. Christian and Sophia are attracted to each other, yet their separate pasts might affect their future together.
Even though it's the eighth book in The Montgomery Brothers series, this book still reads as a stand-alone story. However, it's recommended to read the entire series.
Suddenly Mine is geared towards those who enjoy reading modern romance stories.
Note: I received this book from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I received a copy of this from Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca in exchange for my honest review.
I wanted to love this book. It had all the right ingredients. Sexy male lead, sweet main character, lots of family, cute story, but it just never gelled for me. There was lots of health scares and lack of depth with other characters. It was not a bad read, but not a favorite

I received an arc of this book from Netgally and I absolutely loved it! Christian and Sophia's relationship developed throughout the story and I loved how they fell in love but kept trying to be just friends. That friendship slowly develops into something more.
There were a lot of ups and downs and turns and twists in the book relating to family issues and allowing one's heart to open up for love.
If you are a fan of Samantha Chase then you'll love this book!
