Sorry. I gave up. It was written like a script. I really didn't care for the format. It was tedious and the character was one I cared anything at all about. It sounded so interesting in the synopsis, too. I'm still not sure if this was a fiction, non-fiction work, or a play!

Why Me is about a man named Jason Kendall who suffers from some kind of delusions or sickness that affect his sleep and memory. He has co-workers who care for him at a garbage scavenging center in Chicago, and a girlfriend, and very devoted parents. The story is very hard to follow as it's written in play form and with a practically unpenetrable African accent. I was fascinated by the term "turning through his shoulder" which was used throughout the book and I'm assuming it actually means "turning ones head". When his parents finally send him to Sweden for psychological treatment of Syncope Disorder, Jason is assigned a 24-hour caretaker despite his being asleep 16 hours a day.

There are three authors associated with this small book, an Endre Joseph, Talbert Okorodudu who is described online as a Nigerian filmmaker, and Ukrainian Nikolay Nikolayevich Bey, appears to be running for public office in real life in Minnesota.
