I love this series a lot, each book is fun and sweet!I adored Gia and Bennett. I loved both of their personalities and how they had similar backgrounds. The story was interesting and it was also fast paced.
Bennett was a swoon worthy and charming hero.I loved him!Gia was also good!I like her a lot, even though she was not in reationships the passion and emotions she was giving she was just perfect and she didn't know it!
This series is just perfect if you want lighthearted and heartwarming romance with fun and great romance this is perfect!
the conclusion of the bridesmaids behaving badly series is upon us in three little words, and i think it's fair to say that gia and bennett are my favorites. i loved everything about this story. the fact that they both have deep-seated issues. the fact that they are both so totally self-aware. the fact that they fit together in a way that just makes sense even when it shouldn't.
everything happens so quickly, and it's a road trip with forced proximity that heightens the emotions. but these two are so dreamy together. i loved the little details about their relationship. the polaroid shots. the hand-holding. the way she said "oh my god" about sex and his cooking.
it just worked. this came together and rounded out the series perfectly.
**three little words will publish on january 29, 2019. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/grand central publishing (forever0 in exchange for my honest review.
I thought Gia was my least favorite Bridesmaid, and she turned out to be my favorite. A stellar conclusion to such a fabulous series!
This book has both cussing (including a lot of f-bombs) and on page sex. Although this is part of a larger series, you do not have to have read those books to read this one as it stands alone.
***THERE ARE SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW***
Having read the first three (two and a novella) books in this series, I was so looking forward to this book, but I am sorry to say that this one just didn't do it for me. I wanted to like Gia, I wanted to love her, but I thought she was pretty terrible from start to finish. She refused to ever admit that she had an eating disorder which she very obviously did, and she was rude to people left and right because of it. Whether she was hungry or not, the way she treated everyone around her was horrible. She “tested” men in ridiculous ways that anyone would have failed because they were so irrational (showing up for a fancy party in sweatpants is rude no matter if you're a model or a housewife) and when they fell short, she acted like they were the horrible person? And when she found out that Bennett didn't want to have sex without having feelings for someone, she called him a “religious nut” and acted like he was defective. For having morals that were different than hers. Seriously? If the roles in this book were flipped and HE had thought the things that she thought and treated her the way she treated him where sex was concerned, people would call him a total pig and they would have been right. Instead of being sex positive and living her life the way she wanted, she was an insulting bully about the way he chose to treat sex. I get what Ms. Holiday was trying for in this book but it just didn't work. Instead of being strong and girl power-ish, Gia was just flat out unlikable.
There were parts of the book that were great – I loved the looks in on the other characters and the way that their lives have grown, but between Bennett being way too perfect to be even close to real and Gia being so obnoxious, this one just didn't work for me.
Three Little Words by Jenny Holiday is book Three in the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly Series. This is the story of Gia Gallo and Bennett Buchanan. I have read the previous books and that did add to my enjoyment of their story. Gia is headed to a wedding but ends up getting stuck along with Bennett. The two are now having to spend time together where they start learning more about the other. Both having different outlooks on relationship but the more they get to know one another the more their thoughts on relationships change. I have really enjoyed this series and look for more books from this author!
I have loved the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series from the beginning. So I expected I would like Gia's book, but I wasn't prepared for what an amazing story it would be. Not even halfway through the story I realized this is my favorite book in the series!
At first glance, Gia and Bennett do not seem like a good match. She doesn't want a serious relationship and he prefers to be committed to someone. When they get stuck together on a road trip to Wendy and Noah's wedding, though, a friendship of sorts that might become more blossoms between them.
Gia and Bennett both have difficult experiences in their pasts. I loved how they supported and encouraged each other to face those issues and grow from them.
Of course there is a healthy dose of humor and I was glad to see Gia's friendship with Wendy, Jane, and Elise was strong as ever. They are a wonderful example of female friendship. I was so happy that they have been portrayed as smart, supportive, and kind.
I am crossing my fingers that the series isn't completely over, but if it is this book was the perfect way to end it!
Hate to love is a trope I enjoy. When two people can get through differences, it is always interesting to see how they get there. In Jenny Holiday's Three Little Words, Gia and Bennett are catapulted into the disaster of disasters, and it was a fun adventure to be on.
Three Little Words begins in the midst of the week prior to the big day. No, it isn't Gia and Bennett's but their friends. Gia is the best friend of the bride, and has made a promise to make this the best memory, including delivering the wedding dress. But as loyal as Gia is, she comes across as aggressive and very scary. Bennett has made a promise to travel with Gia, as a favor to his friend, the groom.
This is a fun and quick-paced story. Gia is a very strong heroine, and at first it put me off from connecting with her. Though, as the story went on, and as I got to know her better, she warmed up to me. Bennett is loyal and genuine, and I really enjoyed him. Knowing who he is and where he came from is one of my favorite things about Three Little Words.
There are a few things that I enjoyed and some that I didn't. The premise is fun. What other way to fast forward a getting-to-know you period than a road trip? I enjoyed getting to know the back stories of these two, but at times it felt repetitive. But to be fair to the author, it was my reading preference at the time and my impatience. Other times, I would have instantly warmed up to the two and the steamy romance that was happening before my eyes.
I enjoyed this story, and hope there will be more in this world!

I enjoyed Three Little Words, Jenny Holiday's 3rd book in the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series. I didn't love it as much as first 2 books in the series, but I think it got better as the book went along. I struggled to connect with Gia, she was a little unlikable and I had a hard time relating to her character. Bennett's character also fell a little flat for me. Again, I thought it got better as the story went along and by the end I found I did like enjoy the book and like the characters more.
Sweet, romantic, and a feel good love story that readers will no doubt devour. Wedding tropes between the wedding party are some of my favorite tropes to read. Gia and Bennett were seriously swoonworthy and the chemistry was off the charts. Especially when the two have to go on a long road trip together. What better way to fall in love?
Seems that all the bridesmaids in their small group of friends are falling in love but Gia Gallo is certain she won't be the next. After all her number one rule is One and Done! Best man Bennett Buchanan has a no fling rule but Gia Gallo may be worth breaking that rule. After all the flights out of the city are grounded Bennett and Gia set off on an impromptu road trip to Florida where the wedding is being held. These two will find it difficult to play by their rules!
I've really enjoyed this series and this book is a great addition. All the books are light, funny, and have little angst. This book is filled with humor and it makes for a nice relaxing read. I definitely recommend it.
My Rating:
4.5
Favorite Quotes:
Gia was Canadian, so admittedly, her impression of southern American culture was based on Duck Dynasty and the William Faulkner novels she’d read in her one year as a literature major, but this dude, with his drawl and his falsely pretty manners, sounded like he belonged in a rom-com romancing Reese Witherspoon.
A little smile played at the corner of her lips as she stared at his lap with unbroken concentration, like she was a Jedi master with the power to make men pop woodies with her mind.
Bennett was like a rare, complicated flower blooming in many phases.
What was it about Bennett? He could shift the entire tenor of a conversation with a single sentence. He could look at her like he was seeing inside her, like he was shining light on stuff that had been in the dark for as long as she could remember.
My Review:
I’m feeling a bit conflicted about this one. I have adored the series, enjoyed the premise, smirked at the clever levity and thermonuclear sex scenes, and found the storylines entertaining and engaging; but I struggled to fully appreciate the main character of Gia. To most people outside of her friendship circle, Gia was rather vile; she was difficult, arrogant, entitled, prickly, and mean. She was rude and prone to going postal with service personnel when her needs were not met – gah! Gia was the type of person I make a point to avoid and maybe, umm, even feel compelled to spill my coffee on as they walked by. Yeah, I know, but sometimes karma needs a little help, or maybe I’m just too impatient to wait for karma to catch up to obnoxious snobs like that…
However, I was totally enamored with the lovely Bennett, he was a true altruist and the opposite of the cranky and snarky Gia. Bad weather threw the mismatched couple together for a long road trip in a Mini Cooper convertible, which, to me, sounded like a lower level of hell. As with the earlier books, there were wedding and family dramas aplenty, sweet and adorable updates and continuing stories of the previously featured couples, smoking hot sensual scenes, witty banter, profoundly insightful observations and inner musings, captivating subplots, and clever humor. I am growing rueful and melancholy with the realization that this may well be the last of the series as all the bridesmaids have now completed nuptials… I can only remain hopeful that this clever scribe will invent a few more people in need of wedding attendants, as I am unwilling to let this fun and feisty group go just yet.
Gia and Bennett are trying to make it to Noah and Wendy’s wedding. They are snowed in at the airport and their first interaction is rocky. They decide to make the best of the situation. As the story progresses they get to know each other and realize they judge each other without really knowing all the facts. Some unexpected surprises about Gia and Bennett are revealed which I kind of wasn’t expecting.
As much as I liked Gia and Bennett, I really didn’t feel a connection. They only spent a few days together after meeting for the first time at the airport and they are in love. Nope. Not going to work for me, I need more build up between a couple.
As a fan of the series it was nice to see the other couples and there was a nice wrap up at the end. Even though this wasn’t my favorite book in the series, I still love the characters. They are a wonderful tribe of women who love each other hard. They are there for each other through good times and bad. I love the bond these women had with each other. I’m sad to see this series end.
I loved this book and I'm pretty sure I found myself a new favorite author! Jenny Holiday is a new author to me, but I absolutely loved her writing style (lots of banter, a strong female lead and lots of heat)! Gia and Bennett are two total opposites and you would think that these two would never end up together. I'll be honest, when I first started reading the book I absolutely hated Gia and I wasn't sure that I would like her as much as I ended up liking her. She's a very complicated person and her "one-and-done, two-and-through" attitude immediately turned me off especially how she came on to Bennett so strongly. But then you learn about her back story and Bennett's back story respectively and you come to appreciate these complicated people who obviously adore each other on so many levels. This was my first Jenny Holiday book, so I didn't read any of the books in this series - so safe to say it can be read as a stand alone, but I can't wait to read the rest of the books that came before this one :). **ARC provided by NetGalley and the publisher. Pure perfection, my heart is so happy! A winter storm moves into New York, leaving Gia Gallo and Bennett Buchanan stranded. They both need to get to the same wedding destination in Floriday, Gia has the wedding dress and Bennett has the rings. After multiple attempts to get a different flight, they're best option is a rental car. Road trip with two strangers who have amazing chemistry and pasts they'd rather keep hidden...what could go wrong?
This is one of my favorite series, it always keeps me laughing and makes me almost want to try the dating world again, lol. The characters in this story are like family and have a strong bond that nobody can break. Such a wonderful journey of self-discovery, overcoming your past and fighting for happiness even if you're in denial. I absolutely love the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series and this is the best one yet!
This is such a fun series! I couldn't wait to get my hands on Gia's story and it did not disappoint! Though this is book 3 in the series, it can be read as a standalone. Previous characters do appear, however, and I think it would be best appreciated after reading the previous books.
I loved Bennett! *swoon* He was such a refreshing hero! He had some very heavy baggage from his past and even though he went to the extreme to atone, I admired his drive to become a better individual. There isn't some adorable meet cute with Gia, but I appreciated that over time, the masks fell away to a degree and they truly saw the other for who they are. Their chemistry was fantastic and their scenes together were both sweet and smoking hot! The forced proximity trope is tricky for me, but I felt like the instalust turned love was handled really well and believable given their 2 personalities and histories. Yes, some things move at warp speed, but it was still a really enjoyable ride. I loved that both Bennett and Gia knew that ultimately they had to "save" themselves, but that they could recognize that help from those who love you goes a long way.
Catching up with the other characters in the series was a fun treat (Elise, Jane, and Wendy are a hoot!) and I don't think the epilogue could have been more perfect! It was sweet and heartfelt and a wonderful way to give readers a glimpse into the future of these beloved characters. It definitely left me with a smile on my face!
*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*
I think this is my favorite in the series. I really enjoyed Gia and Bennett's story. It was full of fun and mishaps and emotion. Gia and Bennett are traveling down to a Florida wedding and I enjoyed this aspect and felt it really added to the story and their relationship. Gia is struggling with some issues, including an eating disorder. I've not had an eating disorder myself, but I felt it was well done. It's not the main focus nor did the author kind of shove it aside when it didn't work for the story any more.
One of my favorite parts of this series is the female friend group. They are so strong, and I love that they are always there for each other. No bitching nor cattyness, this is not to say they didn't argue, but that they didn't let it destroy their friendship.
If you are looking for cute contemporary romance's I recommend the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series.
So I have really mixed feelings about this book. I think that some people will love this romance read, and I definitely didn't dislike it. I haven't read the first two books in the series, and while you don't necessarily need to, I think it would have made the story even better. There are elements of the story that I really enjoyed, such as the way Gia and Bennett get suck together, and end up sharing so much of themselves with each other. I usually like flawed characters, but both Gia and Bennett really irritated me right off the bat. Even though the happy ending put a smile on my face, I realized I just dislike both of them, which is a personal problem. Haha. I would still recommend this to fellow romance readers, and I'm still thinking about checking out the first two books in the series!
I knew from the very first sentence that this was going to be a fantastic book!
First of all, I loved Gia and Bennett. The whole first chapter truly showed their personalities, and I was hooked. They're both quirky and witty, but they both come from iffy and shady pasts. Honestly, I was only a few pages in and was shipping them so freaking hard.
Their adventure is one to write home about and while it's only January, Three Little Words is on my Top 10 of 2019. I loved this book so much! There wasn't anything I disliked or scoffed at. This book is full of laughter, snarky comments, and down-to-earth moments between two characters who are learning their places in the world. Everything about Gia and Bennett was spot on and absolutely perfect for what I needed from this book.
I must admit, this is my first time reading Jenny Holiday, but I guarantee you, it will not be the last! Three Little Words in a standalone in a series and I'm thinking I have to read the previous two books! I need more Jenny Holiday in my life!
Three Little Words is the third and final book in the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series by Jenny Holiday. It was a good story about a road trip romance that takes place in a week. I enjoyed the chemistry between Bennett and Gia. Also, the sexual tension between them was sizzling. They each had their reasons for making decisions about what role sex played in their lives. Which made for some frustrating scenes between Bennett and Gia.
Though the story takes place in a matter of a week, the author did a great job in showing us that these characters truly developed feelings for each other. Of the two, I really liked Bennett. He was a sexy southern gentleman that wanted to be Gia's savior, but learns that standing next to her was the role he was meant to have.
It is always with great hesitation, that I finish a series. Not only am I sad to say that final farewell to characters I have grown to love, but I also worry that the ending won't satisfy me. Rest assured, Holiday gave this group of fabulous women a fantastic send-off!
I love when authors save the character, who seems the least likely to settle down, for the final book. This character's story is usually very emotional, and I would say Gia's fits the bill.
She had her one-and-done, two-and-through rules, which had been working just fine for her, but as her friends started settling down and modeling was losing its allure, she began wanting something more for herself. Little did she know that "something" would come in the form of a handsome southern chef.
Gia and Bennett were a fantastic coupling. First of all, I loved each of them separately.
Gia was really complex and complicated. Her philosophy on love was born out of past failures with men and her family, as well as her need to protect her heart. She was turning 30 and found herself at a crossroads in her life - too old to model, but that's all she knew. I was so happy fate brought Bennett into her life, because I loved how she was able to find a passion and a talent she didn't even realize she had with his help.
And, Bennett! A reformed bad boy, who had hit bottom and had to start over from scratch. He worked his way up to having a successful restaurant in NYC, but aspired to take care of people. *swoon* I actually adored everything about his restaurant and his plans for it. I also loved the way he and Gia bonded over ideas for his restaurant. These were the times we saw Gia come to life, and I knew I wanted them to make Bennett's dream come to fruition together.
A great hero plus a great heroine gave me a couple I could not help but ship. As expected, there was chemistry galore between the two. He was hot. She was hot. They were hot together. But, it wasn't all just steam and heat, it was the way they took the time to get to know and understand each other. They encouraged one another and saw things in each other that other people didn't. They just belonged together.
The destination of Bennett and Gia's road trip may have been the wedding, but that physical journey resulted in quite a personal journey for both. Along the way, via the games they played and the truths they shared, Gia and Bennett found some closure on their pasts, as well as, a clearer view of their futures. It was very gratifying to see all these things happen for them, and I was really, really pleased with the outcome for both of these characters.
Other things I loved in this book:
• Roadtrip! 🚗
• Food, glorious food. 🍕🍳🥧
• A wedding 👰🏻
• An epic female friendship 💖
• A bromantic intervention 👨❤️👨
• A grand gesture 😲
• A stupendous jump-ahead epilogue 😃
It's always sad to say goodbye to a great series, but I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet this wonderful "family", and see all of them find their HEA.
