In case you didn't know it, Tim Tebow is a saint. I mean, seriously, the things this guy does for people! I have been a fan of his for years now. It all started when my football loving husband introduced me to his major skills on the football field and then I found out this guy also loved Jesus and I was HOOKED. A fan for life. Anyway, let's talk about the book now. In his newest release, Tebow shares stories from his life to motivate and inspire readers to make the most of each day. Each day is a gift from God and if we measure up to our full potential each day, we can help so many people and share Jesus everywhere. This book brought me to tears and inspired me to want to do more and share Jesus without fear. Tim Tebow is the epitome of a "good and faithful servant" and is an inspiration to all. His outlook on life is one that we all need to adopt. He strives to be the best possible version of himself and to love others and see others as Jesus does. I really think this is Tebow's best book yet. I pretty much highlighted the whole thing, so I obviously loved it. It looks like my family and friends are going to have a very Tebow Christmas because this book is definitely going on my holiday shopping list! Thank you so much to netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this book! And thank you to Tim Tebow for being an extra decent human being.

Haven read Shaken and seen Tim play in college and pro, I had a good idea of what to expect by receiving this book. I was not disappointed and was taken back by the approach Tim took in wriitng this book, how he has matured his vision and voice to teach others how to seize their dreams.

One standout that I enjoyed was just the actionable points in the book, each chapter began with "This is the Day" and ends with an action plan to backing that affirmation up and giving it life.

I'm not really a big sports fan, but I have followed Tim off and on in his efforts with the Tim Tebow Foundation since its inception in 2010. I have been very impressed with this young man's integrity, honesty, and boldness while working in an industry that tends to make it hard to hold fast to those values and to stand firm in his beliefs.
After reading Tim's book, This Is The Day, I am convinced that he is the real deal. You get a real sense that the message of this book is one that Tim lives out daily...to wake up each day expecting to have an encounter that is God-ordained...a moment or an opportunity to be an instrument of blessing in someone's life. Through personal stories of encounters with God and others, Tim helps us see how we too can wake up each day to powerful purpose and joy. To live out his own proclamation...
"When we give of ourselves, we are built up. On the other hand, when we constantly take from others, we become empty." I believe Tim looks at each day as an opportunity to win the day. And in God's economy...that means giving our all for the One who gave His all.
I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book from the publisher.

This is the day. Not yesterday, not tomorrow, it is today. This is about how important it is to live in the present time. Today is the day that matters, how you choose to spend it. Make it matter each day, one at a time and do it with passion. That’s what the book is about and Tim Tebow supports it with his life experiences.

Use each day to create memories. Don’t get stuck in the past, reminiscing about the past. It is up to you to create new memories. Take trips; spend time with those who matter in your life, make even more time for them.

“Some we just need a healthy reminder of what’s important – people.”

“Explore. Dream. Discover.”

It’s better to experience something in life, even if the outcome turns out not the way you wished for.

And always remember to follow your passion, what’s in your heart. The path of money, power, and fame may not be the right path as success is defined by majority.

“It’s important to be supported and to support others in the little things. Be present behind the scenes. Show up when the work is happening. Don’t just turn up for the party.”

“Don’t be afraid to take risk. Don’t let fear, criticism, or doubt cripple you from making a decision.”

Invest yourself in things that have value, be a problem solver, rather than just problem finder.

Don’t let life pass you by; make it matter with purpose and passion. Surround yourself with people who will motivate you rather than negate you.

Recognize your emotions, don’t let negative emotions from the past affect you to live at your highest level. The past doesn’t define you, but you can learn from it. You can discipline yourself and make changes in your life for better. You can thrive even in an uncomfortable environment. It’s all about willingness to learn how to do this.

“One of the greatest temptations is to worry instead of pray, trust God, and take action. Worry won’t change anything.” It is the trust and action that bring positive outcome.

Everything happens for a reason, trust God’s plan.

“Life is not about surviving. It’s about thriving.”

It’s not about brand, but it’s about your life. Make it meaningful.

“Never let success get to your head. Never let failure get into your heart.”

“What’s most important is living a life of purpose, meaning, and significance – something that’s possible even if you’re not thrilled with what happens between…”

I may not agree with each statement, for example playing with broken bones to show “determination to stick it out and fight” for the team. There are other ways to do it. But overall, it is a profound read. Tim is very honest in expressing his feelings and thoughts. If he has two choices and is not sure which one to pick, because he doesn’t hear God’s direction, he makes the decision based on what his heart tells him. And at the end, “Either God will grant them or He will change your desires.” So don’t worry about making the wrong decision. You will get on the right path eventually.

Tim’s statements are supported by his actions. And those actions speak much louder than words. This is why he is such a great role model with so many followers.

This is the first book I’ve read by Tim and I’ve never followed his career. I’m very impressed by this book, so I’m looking forward to reading his other books.

I’ve tried to keep this review as short as possible, but it only reflects how profound this read is.

Hear me out on this one. I know that Tim isn’t for everyone. I, personally, am not a fan. But I have taken notice of him over the last couple of years, mostly because of his “Night to Shine” proms for handicapped people. I admire his character and charity work more than any of his sports accolades. I thought I would enjoy reading a book with the subtitle, “Reclaim Your Dream. Ignite Your Passion. Live Your Purpose.” It’s a popular theme lately—realizing your dream, doing what the childhood you wanted to do when you grew up. I thought that’s what this would be about. But This is the Day is so much more than that.

First, let me say that Tim is the real deal. He is a genuine good guy who tries his best to live his purpose every day. But it’s not just about doing something you’ve always wanted to do, or finding your true calling. Tim writes about saying things you need to say. Spending time with those closest to you. Helping others whenever you have an opportunity. Finding ways to share Jesus with strangers. Things that we can all do, even if we’re just a mom at grocery store, and not a former NFL player.

I really, really loved this book, so much more than I expected. I finished it feeling inspired, and ready to stop focusing on me and my problems, and remembering that there is a bigger picture, and God is at the center. This is the day to do what you’re meant to do, so do it. I highly recommend this book, no matter if you’re a Tebow fan, or not. And I have to say that I’m kind of a little, teeny tiny fan, now, too.

One of my bookish goals this year is to read more NonFiction books and since I'm new to this genre, I decided to read books about something I'm really connected to. And that is Christianity. I think this is the fourth Christian Nonfiction I read this year and honestly, I'm enjoying reading them.

I didn't know Tim Tebow that much before reading this book. All I knew was he was an athlete and a Christian. After reading this though, I feel like I've met him face to face and that's exactly one of the goals of this book, for the readers to know him. But not just know him, but KNOW HIM AS FOLLOWER OF JESUS. He wants us to see Jesus in him and in my opinion, Tim did a good job. This man didn't just show me Jesus, he also showed me what Jesus can do in my life everyday.

Tim shared so many experiences we all can learn from. Experiences that teaches us how to make the most out of today. Because today matters. Forget our past and move forward. Reach for your dreams NOW. Say the things you have to say NOW. And let those people you love know how important they are to you. THIS is the Day. Stop waiting and start moving.

Overall, 'This is the Day' is a perfect inspirational and motivational book for everyone. And I give it 4 stars. :)

This is the Day by Tim Tebow is an encouraging and inspirational book. I am not much of a sports fan but I have heard of Tim Tebow before, especially in regards to the Night to Shine program and so was interested in reading his newest book and I was not disappointed. The book is easy to read as the author shares from his heart just like he might share with a friend over lunch. Using personal experiences and those of other individuals, often young people who have been helped through the Tim Tebow Foundation, he encourages readers to dream dreams, make goals, and be intentional about doing things that matter and to have a positive influence in the world around them. To make Today be the day to live a life of purpose, meaning, and significance. I like that at the end of each chapter there is a section tagged 'Make this your day' in which readers are asked questions and given suggestions how to make the chapter's principle applicable to their lives. Several of these principles or topics are Listening to the Right Voice, Live with Open Hands, Put in the Work, and Get in the Game. At the beginning of each chapter is a quote from a variety of notables and one I especially liked is by Francis Chan: 'Do you know that nothing you do in this life will ever matter, unless it is about loving God and loving the people He has made?' This is the author's message to know God, to see others as God sees them, to invest in relationships, and to allow God to work through you to do something significant for others. The book is full of stirring and poignant stories and reminders, reminders that we may not be able to fix every situation for others but we can be part of their journey and that often that journey requires us to step out of our routines. This is the Day is a motivating and heartening book.
I received a complimentary copy of the book and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.

Tim Tebow's new book is a great resource for anyone who needs encouragement or a little gentle prodding to get up, dust yourself off, and keep on fighting, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. Each chapter is broken up into sections with a wrap up at the end that makes you think and challenges you to make important life changes. He uses personal experiences, Bible verses, and inspirational quotes to make important points about who we are, God's gift of salvation, and who we should strive to be. He encourages us to live day by day with an increased sense of people around us and their needs, a renewed sense of purpose in life, and to banish fears and a sense of insecurity when trying to achieve goals and dreams. I was personally challenged to be more aware of those around me and to keep going even when I am discouraged. I was especially happy to see a section encouraging single people, who I think are often overlooked or easily dismissed in churches (I have experienced this firsthand). I do have to say I don't personally agree with some of the references made to some of the contemporary, worldly practices of Christian Evangelicals or with one person in particular quoted in the book. Overall, I highly respect and admire Tim Tebow for his stand for Christ, his clear and genuine care for hurting people, and his commitment to sharing the Gospel of Christ with everyone he possibly can. I highly recommend this book to anyone who needs encouragement, is looking for answers, and needs motivation to continue on even when life gets tough.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. A positive review was not required, and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Tim Tebow's latest book, "This is the Day", asks readers to "Say Yes to your Dreams." Best known for openly showing his faith on the playing field, Tebow drops what I call, "wisdom nuggets" throughout the book. Having previously read his book, "Shaken", I kind of knew what to expect in this one and Tebow did not disappoint.

Each chapter title begins with "This is the Day" and ends with an action plan like Say I Love You, Get in the Game, Leave the Past Behind, Listen to the Right Voice. Some of the "wisdom nuggets" I mined included: "Without a powerful view of God and knowing what's possible through Him, our capacity to thrive is completely diminished. When we begin to see God in a life-changing, miracle-making, revolutionary way, we can have the courage to take a step of faith." Or, "When you choose to live based on what God says and not what others say, you can live with confidence. You can live secure. You can live knowing He loves you, He cares for you, He has a plan for you, and He has a purpose for your life. You can trust God's voice."

Born in Manila, Philippines the son of missionaries, Tebow's life experiences have been many and varied. I have been continually amazed by all of the things he's done in his 31 years on Earth. His heart for people - and often for the people that no one else seems to care about - shines through in both his words and his deeds. While he first came to national attention by winning the Heisman Trophy in college, he freely admits that without God, his disappointment over his failed football career would have been far more devastating. The stories he tells to illustrate his points will touch hearts. I know they touched mine. I especially enjoyed the stories he told about his involvement with the Tim Tebow Foundation, and A Night to Shine.

It's easy to see, as you read This is the Day, that Tebow believes and lives the words he says on page 83, "Whether we realize it or not, people are watching us. What we say and what we do matter. When we live with purpose, we can make a difference that can leave a lasting impact....What you do for others matters."

I can absolutely recommend This is the Day to anyone looking to be challenged to step out of their comfort zone, and into the life they dream of living. Tebow's conversational style is easy to read, and you don't have to be a sports fan to enjoy reading his book!

I received this book from the publisher but the opinions expressed are all mine.

"This is the Day" by Tim Tebow is real. It's powerful. It's emotional. It's rare for a public figure, particularly a young man, to firmly stand on his foundation and so freely offer his influence to help others. To face the criticism and yet be so willing to stay the course.

There are some hard lessons in this book and Tebow gives anecdotes from his own life. His struggles are never shared in a "poor me" kind of way but as a path to his purpose. As an encouragement for each one of us to not be dissuaded from what God has called us to do in our lives, even when we face tough circumstances. To embrace each day as a blessing, to grow from hardship, to rediscover the important relationships in our lives.

I caution you to not think you've already read books similar to this one. Tebow's approach and message are unique.

This is a book I am already encouraging everyone I know to grab.

I always enjoy Tim Tebow’s books. His writing style is personable and readable. He shares freely from his life’s experiences, and doesn’t hesitate to share both his successes and defeats. There’s probably not another current sports figure whose life comes under more scrutiny, and yet he seems to handle the criticism and the applause by filtering both through his strong faith in God.

In this book, he gives his parents strong credit for instilling his attitude of “This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
(Psalm 118:24). Through twelve chapters, Tim Tebow challenges us to rejoice each day even if we face difficulty and pain. My personal favorite chapter was “ Go Back to the Well”. It will be a challenge and encouragement for those days when I need a reminder to rejoice in the Lord.

The true illustrations he uses all of those who have faced true adversity and heartache will touch your heart, and you’ll rejoice with those who find strength and victory. There are inspiring stories all throughout this book. I especially enjoyed his stories of his parents. Reading about their strong faith in difficult circumstances was an encouragement to me.

This book would be a good one for a book club or study. Any age group could benefit from reading and discussing it.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This is a very good book. It has 12 days with 12 different things to focus on. If you do just a few of these it would make a major difference in your life. This is Tim Tebow's best book so far, in my opinion. Thank you WaterBrook & Multnomah via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.
