Quick isn't the word for some of these recipes! They really helped me out! Working and commuting, its hard to always have dinner ready and follow the keto way. This book helped make it easier with a ton of quick and delicious receipes. This is a must have for anyone following Keto.
Keto has been really popular for a while now. And although many recipes exist on the internet, you really have to be careful because some are not truly keto. I think that having this as a resource is helpful. I had some issues with the electronic formatting of the book but otherwise, it's a good mix of recipes. I wish there were photos since I prefer cookbooks that do include photos and since I am usually drawn to try recipes that have photos. However, this is a quick guide so I understand why the author may have not wanted to add photos. It would be a good reference to have on your Kindle so you can easily find the recipe you want.
The recipes are simple and straight forward. The organization of the book is really nice as well. Overall, I would get this for a seasoned keto practitioner as a gift.
As the title implies, this is a recipe book for the ketogenic diet. This book includes some excellent basic recipes, so if you are new to the ketogenic lifestyle this would be an excellent purchase. Those who are not familiar with low carb or ketogenic eating and who want to get an overview of the diet as well as how to do it,, would need to purchase a different book. But if you already know how to do the diet then this is a great cookbook to add to your library.
I received a complimentary review copy of this book from the publisher.
I love to read anything Keto Diet related so I can learn more about it. I had read Dr. Don Colbert’s Keto Zone Diet book and was so happy to see this cookbook come out. You will find a very easy to understanding of the Keto Diet. Something that took me many books and a lot of research to really understand what the Keto Diet was and how to stick to it. Then the cookbook goes right into broken down types of recipes. You will not be disappointed at all. If you want to try the Keto Diet or are on the diet and want some good ideas on how to pair the proper Keto foods, this is the only book you need to get. This will make a great gift too, because they will read it and love it.
A nice collection of Keto recipes, with nutritional information. The book begins with an explanation of how the Keto diet works, it’s advantages, etc. I was definitely missing the photos that might accompany the recipes, if there are going to be any. It’s not a comprehensive look at following Keto, but definitely a good place to start.
Quick and Healthy Keto Zone Cookbook: The Holistic Lifestyle for Losing Weight, Increasing Energy and Feeling Great
I Picked Up This Book Because: I had already started considering a Keto Lifestyle and this book seemed like a good resource.
Good information giving upfront even if it was a bit “selly”. The recipes seemed as easy as the title suggest and I can’t wait to try a few.

I began keto almost 2 years ago. This is not only a wonderful book of recipes for veteran keto lifestylers but for beginners as well!
Filled with colorful images and tastey recipes, it is a great tool to have in your keto kitchen arsenal.
This is a companion book to “Dr. Colbert's Keto Zone Diet: Burn Fat, Balance Appetite Hormones, and Lose Weight” In that book Dr. Colbert’s goes into great detail about the diet’s ins and outs. In this cook book there is a brief overview. For example, the answer to “What is the Keto Diet” the Dr. says, “…low-carb, high-fat and moderate protein. It’s incredibly healthy; not only does it work to cure. Or manage diseases, it is the best weight loss method in the world!”
He says over the years he’s treated people who have had advanced cancer, obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, mental illness and much more. He stages, “They needed help yesterday so they could be on the road to healing today…”The answer was not a pill, medication, pharmacratical drug or surgery. The answer was a nutritional one completely based on the food we eat.”
He describes the keto diet as being the “intake of 20 grams of carbs per day. It boosts fat intake and moderate protein intake. That causes your body to shift to burning fat -burning zone! You are now burning fuel and not sugar.”
The recipe book is broken down to cover the basic recipes of broth, sauces and dressings to start with. Then there are about 20 recipes for each section Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Desserts, and Snacks.
The bone broth is yummy and easy to make and so was the Perfectly Scrambled Eggs (which had a microwave version and a list of additional ingredients to add flavor)
Other recipes I’d like to try are Pumpkin Pancakes, Savory Breakfast Muffins, Roasted Cauliflower & Crab Soup, Cauliflower Crab Cakes, Wilted Baby Spinach with-Seared Salmon, Herb Roasted Chicken, Avocado Ice Cream, Frozen Whipped Chocolate, Frozen Lemon Custard, Garlic Flaxseed Crackers – Veggie Cheese Chips, and Seed Bread.
I liked that the ingredients are ones that are easy to find in a regular grocery store. I like that it lists the yield of each recipe on the top before the instructions. At the bottom of the recipes there is a list of nutritional information that gives you the calorie count, fat, protein, carb and fiber. the instructions are simple and easy to follow.
This recipe book helps to bring in a variety of creative dishes for you to try and discover your family favorites. And/or maybe you’ll be able to create variations on the recipes to accommodate your family likes and dislikes.
I read an ARC copy of this book so I didn’t get the full impact of this book. I saw that there was room for pictures of the recipes in the book with red letters that said (add picture). I look forward to viewing the pictures and the additional recipes that were going to be added to the book. If it’s like the author’s other books it will be great!

Keto seems the way to go. I must admit that on reading this book I was a bit daunted at the prospect.
A brilliant book that breaks down keto for new dieters and veterans alike. Excellent introduction to the method before a collection of recipes for every taste.
Great book for anyone who is interested in trying Keto! I missed the pictures though, the best part of the cookbook! But this is simple and easy and well laid out. Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!
Great book for anyone interested in or following keto diets.
The information at the beginning is really interesting , especially the information about the illnesses that could benefit from a keto diet.
the recipes are well thought out and and tasty.
will be a great book once finished.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc of this book In exchange for a honest review.
I am trying to stick to a Keto diet, and this was a very helpful resource! The recipes look really good and I am excited to start cooking!
It's hard to review a cookbook when there aren't any photographs. That said, as a nearly year long follower of the keto diet, I can tell that many of these recipes are quite good. My biggest hang up about them is the too often suggested use of almond milk over heavy cream. It's nonsensical to me to ever suggest a carbohydrate rich nut over a fat rich dairy. There are also hardly any desserts which is a shame. Lots of "recipe coming soon" blanks. So for a start, the book is coming along nicely but I can't give it a genuine rating without seeing the final product. Also, "What the keto diet is" is the worst sentence on the planet. Dear lord please change the phrase so it doesn't end in a preposition!
This book gives a great introduction to the keto lifestyle, explaining in an easy and quick way the basics if you want to start out. The structure of the book is the standard for a cookbook (Introduction to lifestyle first, Staples, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Deserts) and makes total sense. All recipes are clear, come with nutritional info and there is going to be a picture every 3-4 recipes,
This similarly goes for the recipes. There are very easy recipes that most people already might have in their book as go-tos (like 8 different ways to prepare eggs) but it leads up to more intricate dishes like a filet mignon steak. So far I have tried 2 of the simpler recipes and the instructions were clear, simple, and easy to follow. I will try more soon.
Overall none of the recipes was a big surprise or something completely new, but this is a very good collection for people who do want to change their lifestyle and do not have a ton of books on their shelf already.
The overall rating is reflecting at this point that the ARC that I received in exchange for an honest review had no nutritional details yet, which is very important in this type of book. Also at this point there are placeholders for pictures every 3-4 recipes. In the i-post-each-meal-on-social-media day and age I tend to only go for cookbooks that have a beautiful picture for each of the recipes. I understand this makes cookbooks a lot more expensive but seeing that the expected price range is similar to the full photo books, I would expect that. The quality of the pictures and the nutritional value could change my rating of the book a lot, so I will update this review once these details are finalized.
The author begins by telling the reader to check with their doctor and not stop taking their medications before they begin this diet.
The author states that he worked with patients who had cancer and he helped them to modify their diets by cutting out carbohydrates, starches, sugar, alcohol and bread and instead eating fresh vegetables, organic meat, quinoa and other foods and some of them had a reduction in symptoms that was gradual but their cancer symptoms lessened and became less aggressive.
You will have to read the book for yourself to see what other kinds of illnesses and chronic pains were improved by being on this diet.
There are recipes for pumpkin pancakes using pumpkin, cream cheese, eggs and butter with a whipped coconut cream topping, frozen berry smoothies, chopped shrimp salad with Italian Dressing, Grilled chicken salad, salmon salad wraps, SPICY LAMB MEATBALLS WITH TZATZIKI with yogurt, lamb, cucumbers, and cumin, and filet mignon steak.
There are even desserts such as coconut custard, frozen whipped chocolate and frozen lemon custard.
You will not go hungry eating these foods, your body will get used to not consuming sugar, starches and carbohydrates, and you will have more energy.
This was a nice addition to my Keto cookbook library. I liked a lot of the recipes that were shown in this book. Some are new takes on some already staples to my family’s Keto lifestyle.
For anyone wanting to start Keto eating, this is an excellent book to start. I only got approved for this title this morning but I have been through every page and I must say what a simple easy book to read.
The Introduction is not long winded but short and to the point. Excellent information about what the Keto Diet is and interesting Health Truths.
Part Two tells you why the Keto Diet works, and Part Three is all about the recipes which I must say really impressed me.
These are not recipes that are difficult to read and create. Simple and to the point with all the nutritional information that is needed. Very impressed and I am sure when the book comes out and you can see the pictures it will be even more impressive.
Thanks to NetGalley and Worthy Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this book.
