So the cover and blurb really sucks you in if your a lover of dark erotica but the writing was a tad confusing and the book jumps from past to present. Dawn recounts being forced into a sexual servitude and her tastes have a darker shade. I wish the story had been better developed and the sex a bit less.
Three stars.
I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review.
I would like to thank Netgalley, the author and Bookgosocial for this partnership.
We find there Dawn who no longer believed in love to have never recovered finds love again except that once made love with him is no longer sure of his love towards him. Until the day she comes across a naked girl in a basement, her past comes back to her in her head.
A book read in one go, I immediately hooked on the story so moving, captivating and the characters so engaging, especially Dawn's.
Well told dark erotica with a easily followed story line. Connectable characters. Read in one setting. Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC.
love this book, characters were well developed. The plot had many twist and turns. Great read., cannot wait for the next book..
So very true that it's Love Me Violently. It's dark and dirty. Overall not bad writing. Not everyone's cup of tea
Erotica. I get it. However, I also expect a book to have something besides sex through the whole thing. Now don't get me wrong. The sex is fine. However, you're having sex with a demon, sex with two boys, several of the women are raped, and almost all the tropes are in there.
It starts off pretty interesting Dawn working in a mental hospital. After the night is over, she goes to a bar with the other staff, about to head home with the hot guy and she sees someone she has been looking for over the last two years. So far so good.
Until the flashbacks of why they did what they did and why they didn't end up together. It was hard to follow where she was going and if she was in the present, the far past, her senior year, etc. Trying to follow what was happening and where it fit in. It was so graphic that even I had to put it down and was like, did she really go there, yeah, she did. This is not a happy go lucky book, this is very adult, very dark. Reader beware.
I might have liked it more with an alternate ending.
As much as I love erotica, this is definitely not for me.
A hot, dark, wild ride. I love anything supernatural but I found this book to be a tad confusing and just too dark.
Love Me Violently is most definitely violent and extremely dark. It starts off a bit different than what I expected and then takes a turn. While there is a lot of sex, I hesitate to call it erotic considering the disturbing nature of most of the book. It has been a while since I've read an erotic thriller, but in all honesty, I found this one to be a bit strange. There is a thriller here and if the author was going for shock value, then she hit the mark for me. I just found the whole thing to be unsettling, and can't really say that I enjoyed any of it.
different to what i usually read, but woah.
violent, erotic, horror, romance.
honestly pretty good.
I received an ARC of "Love Me Violently: A dark erotica" by Charity Rabbiosi through NetGalley. All opinions are my own!
My first time reading that author, I don't regret it!
I wasn't sure what to expect. I did like that book. It's dark and sexy. It's erotic.
2 men want the same woman... It starts right away, you won't get bored!
I give it 4 stars. It was quite short.

Hmm.. I dont know about this one. I don't even know where to begin with this book. This was definitely way different than what I normally read.
The secrets are deep and the twists are unpredictable. The mystery is slow to revel itself but it is a ride that you want to take. This was such an unusual and original story that I was immediately addicted.
I did not enjoy this book. Too much violence and a plot around rapisms, threesome, orgy, black magic. I could not even characterize it as paranormal. I really struggled to finish it.
However if you are into violent, bloody and multipartner sex I suppose you will enjoy it.
This was definitely way different than what I normally read. Not that that's a bad thing because this book was kind of crazy. I will say that I was pretty confused at the beginning as to what the heck was going on, but then we started with the flash backs and that's where the real story began. Also when things started making sense. Once we got past that speed bump of a beginning, the rest flowed really well. The world building was good, and the characters well developed.
I don't even know where to begin with this book. There were so many messed up things going on and so many people with serious issues. There's magic, a whole lot of violence, twisted love, and let's not forget the demon. There was just so much wrong with this story and the people in it, but that's what drew you in. I'm pretty sure my eyes bugged out of my head more than a few times. I was surprised by Dawn's decision near the end, and then I was very surprised at the actual end.
Over all, this was definitely interesting and not bad at all.
wow...
I was an Erotic/ horror virgin until i stumbled across this little Jewel.
This is a violent, erotic, horror, romance, thriller! it is as gripping as it is horrific, and as addictive as it is disturbing.
Love me violently is titled perfectly, while not for the faint hearted, anyone with a interest or curiosity in this genre will thoroughly enjoy it.
It is a fast paced, fast read that you wont be able to put down.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Loved reading the enthralling and engaging dark erotic story. Dawn's twin stepbrothers, Brett and Scott, both want Dawn, but Dawn only wants to be with Brett. When Brett gets to be too abusive, she does a spell for the brothers to stop. Later, Dawn meets the mysterious Cameron and is drawn to his darkness and power. Read the highly recommended thrilling story full of twists and turns. I reviewed a copy of the book through NetGalley.
