Blythe of the Gates is a unique story. It's different in the way it gets you to question your perception. It's an okay read. Not my favorite, but not bad either. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

An interesting story that has you questioning perception and reality and compelling the reader to ensure they are following their true self and their own dreams and ambitions.

Luna’s journey began long before she left Ireland for America, but the search for herself continued long after she had arrived. With interesting characters and a plot that’s surrounded with magic and murder, Erickson leads us through a tale of self discovery and finding one’s truth. This one was a bit odd for me, but good nonetheless. Erickson’s writing drew me in and held my attention as an author.

First of all, what a stunning cover! Secondly, I loved the unique plot - I think the story is a great tale of identity, and that is always something people ought to read about. Great choice! I'm happy to have loved it as I did!

For me, this story was historical fiction at its finest. I loved reading about the vaudeville era as it was such a magical period of time. The characters were deep and intense and took me on a roller coaster ride with emotions. Blythe of the Gates delivers some haunting messages about the nature of freedom and love.
