Sweet love stories to read, especially now with staying at home. Feel good romances for the heart!

I love anthologies and these three stories were amazing, I really enjoyed reading them. Winter and romance is my perfect combination, especially they get snowed in. It was perfect to give me nice, cosy feelings even if spring is around the corner (at some point)

Snowed in for Christmas is a lovely collection of three brand new contemporary holiday romances. Each story takes place while a couple is snowed in and I can see each as a perfect Hallmark movie. These tales work fabulously as stand alone reads if that is your preference.

Stranded in the Snow (Holiday Acres #2) by Noelle Adams; 4 Wine Glasses
This is a steamy enemies-to-lovers tale. Olivia and Scott have known each other since they were children. Even though they have been mutually attracted to each other, due to misunderstandings, they’ve become adversaries. It doesn’t help that there’s bad blood between their families too. When they are stranded in a cottage during a snow storm, will they be able to tear down the walls between them?

A Christmas Rescue (Silver Bell Falls #4) by Samantha Chase; 4 ½ Wine Glasses
This is a sweet enemies-to-lovers tale. It’s my top choice of the three and was the reason I picked up this anthology. In full disclosure, this story takes place in one of my favorite Christmas towns, Silver Bell Falls. A new veterinarian has taken over the practice and he’s not a fan of Christmas which has aptly earned him the title of Dr. Grinch. Will a delivery of puppies and their forced stay at the clinic due to a snowstorm help Bailey change Dr. Grinch’s mind about Christmas and them?

Love on the Edge of Reason (Pine Harbour #8) by Zoe York; 4 Wine Glasses
This is a steamy friends-with-benefits-to-lovers tale. Tom and Chloe have had a spur-of-the-moment-hook-up relationship for the past year. Then, Chloe surprises Tom with the news that she’s pregnant and disappears without giving Tom the chance to tell her that he’s wanted more from their relationship since the beginning. Can Tom find her and convince her to give their love a chance?

I thoroughly enjoyed the snowed-in fun on each and every page and highly recommend this Christmas anthology!

Three all-new holiday novellas about couples finding love while trapped together in the snow.
This was a cute collection of stories, perfect for getting you into the holiday mood. All three authors are great with everything I’ve read by them in the past and this one didn’t disappoint. I recommend.

I love anthologies. Quick stories by several authors...it’s like getting a story buffet! I’m not going to lie - I decided to read this one because of the Zoe York submission (because I love her Pine Harbour series!).

Stranded in the Snow by Noelle Adams
Right off the bat this one started out a bit off for me. I just don’t get the whole “I hate your guts, but holy smokes you are SO HOT I can’t help drooling over you” schtick. And for me, this story never got better. Scott and Olivia grew up together on neighboring farms. Their fathers had a bad history between them, but Olivia’s three sisters and Scott’s two brothers are all trying to put it behind them. Olivia and Scott, though, have a very combative relationship.

When they end up stranded in a cabin during a blizzard, they go from arguing about everything to sharing their deepest secrets, and decide they are in love within a week.

It took me four days to read this short story, so that should tell you how much I didn’t enjoy it. I couldn’t get into the characters, and other than a compelling backstory for the hero, all these two did was argue.

One star for Stranded in the Snow.

A Christmas Rescue by Samantha Chase
Eh, another average story. Grumpy veterinarian actually has a heart of gold, and it takes his spunky, friendly receptionist to bring out the best in him while they help a mother dog (who is owned by a homeless man), deliver puppies. The remarkable transformation takes three days...

I think this author just may not be my cup of tea - I’ve read a couple other of her books, and didn’t really enjoy them (one of them I DNFed at 35%).

Two stars for A Christmas Rescue.

Love on the Edge of Reason by Zoe York
Zoe York is one of my go-to authors for good, solid, feel-good stories. But this one left me feeling as cold as the blizzard that is taking place during the book.

Tom and Chloe have had a friends-with-benefits arrangement for the past year. Shortly after notifying Tom that she’s pregnant (like seriously, they say two more sentences to each other and she runs off), Chloe disappears, forcing Tom to hunt her down where she’s holed up in a cabin. Since there’s a blizzard, they’re stranded together for a couple days, forced to work through their issues. Only, they really don’t.

This one started out like it was already in the middle of the story, so it was hard to get some traction towards having a connection with the couple. Even giving some leeway for it being a novella, this story was lacking in everything: plot development, character development, meaningful dialogue between the couple. UGH, I can’t even tell you how much I disliked this story, or how disappointed I am - with Love on the Edge of Reason, and this whole collection of stories. I’m totally feeling BAH HUMBUG right now, and I’m not happy about it!

One star for Love on the Edge of Reason.

So, I'm giving one star for this whole anthology (clearly everyone else read a different book, because I was not amused in the least by any of these stories), which took me 10 days to read. TEN!!! I never take that long to read anything! Also, I'm wishing I had read this back in October when it was released, because then it wouldn't have had me feeling like Scrooge in the month of December. But at the time I just wasn't in the mood to read Christmas stories. Lesson learned for next time, I guess.

Overall: 4 stars — It seems for me that I always end up liking the first book the best…but I’m probably misremembering. That was definitely the case here though! It started off really strong, but all the books were solid Christmas reads. It was interesting to see how each author took the “snowed in together” trope and made it their own.

Stranded in the Snow (Holiday Acres #2) by Noelle Adams

4.5 stars — I was easily invested in Scott and Olivia, it surprised me a bit. I tend to be wary of enemies to lovers tropes, and since this one was based on a lot of misunderstandings and assumptions I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it (because I hate the assumptions game). I think I was just surprised by both characters, in the best way, and I couldn’t help but love them both. I was surprised by a lot of the things we learned about Scott’s past, and it made my heart hurt for him. My heart also ached for Olivia and the childhood stigma’s she was still struggling with. Basically it had more depth than I was expecting, characters that I connected with, and the romantic chemistry was solid. I’ll definitely be looking for the other books in this series!

3.75 stars — There was so much I enjoyed about this book, cute characters, interesting backstory. But I couldn’t get over how genuinely annoyed Gavin was with Bailey’s chatty personality. I never really got the impression that he figured out that his attitude was clouding it. I don’t know. It’s a silly thing to get hung up on. But every time I would be enjoying their chemistry, I would get hit by a moment where one or the other really didn’t like the other. But, bonus: puppies!

3.5 stars — I don’t think I quite understood Chloe’s hangups…like I got them to a point, but not to the degree she pushed Tom away. They were kind of a strange couple. I wonder if it’s partly that the short novella form hindered us getting background on them. Basically it was a cute Christmas story, but it didn’t blow me away. And I wouldn’t have minded an epilogue to find out how things went. Also, this was one had the poorest editing.

Three sweet Christmas romance novellas all with a "snowed in" theme made up this book:
1. Stranded in the snow by Noelle Adams - cozy romance with the familiar enemies to lovers trope. Couple become stranded in a cottage and fell in love. Really enjoyed it
2. A Christmas rescue by Samantha Chase -another snowed in romance. This one between a veterinarian and admin assistant who hated him until being trapped. The characters were a little melodramatic for my taste (lots of storming off in this one) but still cute.
3. Love on the Edge of reason - the most different one. Friends with benefits, surprise pregnancy, snowed in, love.
All in all none of these books were groundbreaking, we have all read these stories before in some form, but they were sweet. It was a nice quick read and perfect for the season.

Snowed in for Christmas is a collection of three holiday novellas that combine the sweetness of a Hallmark movie with the steaminess that us romance readers love. Stranded in the Snow turned out to be my favorite story out of the three and I definitely plan on reading more of the Holiday Acres books to find out more about the Holiday sisters. All 3 stories were paced with the usual quickness of a novella and held my attention throughout. I really enjoyed the fun banter, unexpected pregnancies, and snowed in fun that filled these pages. If I ever get snowed in, I definitely hope it can have a similar outcome!

Stranded in the Snow (Holiday Acres, Book 2) by Noelle Adams - This was a cute, haters to lovers romance. While clearly part of a series surrounding Holiday Acres and two families it will work as a standalone. The series put me in mind of the Hatfields and the McCoys. Friendship and disputes over land. Scott and Olivia were childhood friends, both crushed on the other and somehow that chemistry has turned into snarky, I can't stand you banter. When the two get trapped in the snow they seek shelter in one of the cabins. Snow, sparks and a roaring fire await you....
A Christmas Rescue (Silver Bell Falls, Book 4) by Samantha Chase-  A grumpy Veterinarian, and a cookie baking receptionist bicker over holiday decorations and end up snowed in together after a dog rescue. Puppies, cookies, and fun between the sheets might just melt the Grinch's heart. This was a fun, easy flowing romance with little drama and cute animals. I wouldn't mind visiting Silver Bell Falls again.
Love on the Edge of Reason (Pine Harbour, Book 8) by Zoe York-  I felt a little out on the loop for this romance. It is a second chance and it looks like perhaps the other books in the series share more of their story. Tom is trying to win her back. I will admit I am curious enough to try this author and the series, both of which are new to me. As a standalone however, this fell short.

3 different novellas by 3 different authors. They all share one idea, being snowed in with someone of the opposite sex that you really DON'T want to be stuck with. My favorite out of them was the middle one, A Christmas Rescue by Samantha Chase. I am a sucker for animals :-)

Three quick holiday reads? Yes, please! I was most interested in this collection because of Samantha Chase - I love her books. I haven't read much of Noelle Adams or Zoe York - until now. I think each of the stories could have been expanded upon, but they're great for this time of year. I especially loved A Christmas Rescue. Animals and Christmas? I couldn't be more pleased.

Snowed in for Christmas is the perfect holiday romances! And in this book, you don’t get just one book but 3! From 3 great authors!

You start out with Stranded in the Snow by Noelle Adams, where Olivia and Scott are stranded in a cabin and are forced to sort out their antagonism!

In A Christmas Rescue, you have Bailey, vet receptionist and Christmas lover and her boss, who we should call Mr. Grinch, throw in an abandoned dog, and you have the makings of a Hallmark movie!

And finally, there is Love on the Edge of Reason, where friends with benefits turn into so much more when Chloe finds out she is pregnant and Tom has a jerk moment!

When I chose Snowed in for Christmas It was because I had read Noelle Adams books before and had really enjoyed them, but I have been introduced to author Samantha Chase, and author Zoe York! And I’m totally going to read them again, as they were equally fantastic!

Overall a great compilation! And had definitely got me in the mood for Christmas, just before Halloween! Which is why I give Snowed in for Christmas 5 stars

Snowed in for Christmas 3 Great reads to get you in the mood for Christmas and make you wish for a little snowstorm. I really enjoyed reading each of the authors romantic stories and what brought each couple together. As soon as you start reading you won't be able to stop. Noelle Adams , Samantha Chase, Zoe York did an amazing job with each ones take on the couples stories. Great writing team.

I love each of these authors so I was happy to see a new set of holiday novellas from them but not even the talent of Noelle, Zoe and Samantha could make these novellas little more than engaging.
There was nothing wrong with any of the stories other than they were too short for the stories to really develop so by the end I felt cheated and not fully invested in any of the couples. Each read was good and short and if you're a reader who loves novellas these are right up your alley.

Olivia Holiday's father cheated a man out of his share of some land. His relatives have hated hers ever since. So when she gets stranded with the man in a cottage during a snowstorm with Scott, the one who seems to dislike her the most.
An okay story, but there was a lot of shoehorning in of other characters and stories in this series which causes Scott and Olivia's romance to be not as believable.

Bailey Walsh is ready to quite her job. Her new boss is an absolute Scrooge and she's tired of it. But then a snowstorm and a litter of puppies let her see her boss in an entirely different light.
An okay story but Ms. Chase's longer works are more enjoyable.

Chloe Davis just found out she's pregnant. And when she told the father, Tom Minelli, he reacted.. less than well. But he's recovered. And getting trapped in a remote cabin during a winter storm give him time to convince her of just that.
Again, okay but would have been better in a longer book.
