I loved Tom and Chloe in Love on the Edge of Reason. The premise may have been something we have read before however the way the story unfolded was unexpected, fun and super sweet. Just goes to show the best laid plans...……...
These three stories are a Christmas treat. If you enjoy holiday reads or look forward to the holiday movie countdowns I think you will love these three stories and the characters that each author has brought to this book!
Stranded in the Snow
The words fun and cute come to mind when I think about this story. It is the second book in the series, but I had no trouble quickly learning about this community, business and the two families. Loved the interaction between everyone and how descriptive the story was. It left me wondering if these was based off of a true resort or destination location bc it sounds quite delightful. After I finished reading this story I looked up the rest of the stories because I couldn’t wait to see what shenanigans each couple found on their path to each other!
A Christmas Rescue
Puppies, a winter workplace romance, the grinch and a SC story = an utter delight. This community and the characters drew me in immediately. I could feel the Christmas cheer and expectations of the area and the bah-humbug of not decorating! The pups added a fun dimension to the story and as an avid animal lover I am here for it! Both characters shared their stories in their own way and it was great to see how they learned from and grew with each other. The lessons from both are good at any time, but especially at winter when there are people and animals in need!
Love on the Edge of Reason
This is the first time I read anything from ZY, but it won’t be the last! A fun spin on friends with benefits and not sharing what you feel. I found their conversations, fears, memories and take on Christmas quote interesting and entertaining. Enjoyed the interactions with friends and this small community so I look forward to reading more of this series as well!
All three stories create a warm and inviting take on Christmas romances. I knew I would love SCs story, but I am thrilled over how much I enjoyed the other two stories and that I now have two new series to explore!
Thank you to NetGalley and Samantha Chase for the chance to read this book and share my opinions!
An enjoyable trio of novellas. I am always hesitant when I read a novella. The short nature means that the characters have to already know each other and sometimes it feels like you missed something. The first two, Noelle Adams and Samantha Chase, managed to avoid that scenario. Both were cute stories that felt complete; Stranded in the Snow by Adams was my favorite. Unfortunately, I felt like I walked into the middle of a movie when I was reading the Zoe York novella. I'm sure the followers of her Pine Harbour series will enjoy it, but I was a bit lost since I didn't read the first 7. Altogether, though, a fun holiday read.
Three novellas that all take place while being snowed in.
Stranded in the Snow (Holiday Acres #2) by Noelle Adams is an enemies to lovers with spark! The enemies doesn’t just encompass Olivia and Scott, but also their families. Even tho the family feud was dissolved after truths were uncovered, Olivia and Scott still held grudges….but for the wrong reasons, neither wanted to admit the feelings they had for the other .. of course :) lol As I said … great story with spark!
A Christmas Rescue (Silver Bell Falls #4) by Samantha Chase packed a bit of a punch to the #feels. I’m not gonna lie, our hero of the story is not very likeable for most of the story, imo … until he is :) which actually doesn’t happen until towards the end so I’m a bit middle of the road on this one.
Love on the Edge of Reason (Pine Harbour #8) by Zoe York is what I would call a moment in time story. I say that because I’ve read the series from the beginning. This novella read as the aftermath of a conflict in a HEA journey. The journey itself happens before this story. If you don’t at least read Love on the Run, then you might just be thinking wait, what? thru most of the novella. This is one that definitely could have used a bit more exploring. It was very difficult to connect to the love between Chloe and Tom.
This book had three good Christmas stories in it. The first story was about Olivia and Scott. Olivia thought she hated Scott and Scott liked to antanize her. It was interesting to see the misconseptions that they both had and how they resolved them.
The second book was about a Veterinarian who hated Christmas due to his upbringing. It took a brave receptionist who helped him with a homeless man's dog and puppies to set things straight. Good story
The third story was about chloe and Tom. She was leaving town because she was pregnant and didn't want to be with him just because of a baby. This one took more time to straighten out the misconseptions. Also a good story. I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review.
NOTE: I am only reviewing the Samantha Chase novella and the five star rating is for her section of the book only.
A CHRISTMAS RESCUE by Samantha Chase (Silver Bell Falls #4) is a delightful, quick read for the holidays. Bailey Walsh is the office manager for Dr. Gavin Maguire, the veterinarian who recently took over the practice from another vet who retired. Gavin, who is very attractive but is called Dr. Grinch by his staff behind his back, wants nothing to do with Christmas. In fact, he fires Bailey when she insists on decorating the office behind his back. Before she leaves, however, she decides to help him with a litter of new puppies and they get snowed in at the clinic. Will this give Bailey the chance to find out why Dr. Grinch hates Christmas? And, how convenient is it that Gavin’s apartment is just upstairs!
This is a novella, but the characters and the main story are as well developed as they would be in a full-length novel. Bailey is a strong, confident character. When snowed in with grouchy, stand off-ish Gavin, she wants to get to know him and gives him a chance. And then there are the dogs. What’s not to love? 5 stars for Ms. Chase.
I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This is a collection of Christmas novellas. I loved that we got fun, Christmas stories that could be read in an afternoon!
A Christmas Rescue brings us back to Samantha Chase's Silver Bell Falls. What happens when a grinchy vet tangles with his bubbly Christmas-loving assistant? Or when they get snowed in together with a litter of puppies? Super charged romantic fun! I loved these two SO much!
The other two stories were fun Christmas reads as well, all with the stranded together themes. I read them each in a few hours and finished with a big smile on my face! A great collection!
Snowed in for Christmas is a collection of 3 short stories by Noelle Adams, Zoe York, and Samantha Chase. Each story is brand new and it belongs in a different series, but they can be read as stand-alone. I only wished for a little more information on the characters and the background in the story "Love on the Edge of Reason". I felt like this novella was only a part of their story and I think that is because Tom is trying to win Chloe back after he messed things up. Love on the Edge of Reason was my least favorite story in the book, but it was a medium one and not very bad.
A Christmas Rescue by Samantha Chase is the most complicated story when it comes to the main characters. The hero, Gavin, is a complex character and he didn't have a happy past. He has his reasons for not wanting to decorate his clinic but the heroine doesn't know it which leads them to have an argument and later get stranded in his house/clinic where they get to know each other better. Gavin is the character who gets the most detailed background and development and to be honest he is the one who needs it. Their story was good and I liked equally both characters. I wanted to see more of them and I will try to follow the series. Samantha Chase is one of my favorite authors and I always enjoy her writing. To be fair, I didn't begin the story knowing that I will like it, I was just reading the next story in the book ( I don't think I even noticed the author's name) and I found myself enjoying it a lot and getting invested in these characters. The mentions of animals were always a plus, but I stayed for the grumpy vet and the woman who was going to change his life.
Stranded in the Snow by Noelle Adams is the first story in this book and for some reason the last I chose to review. In this story, we have Scott and Olivia. Their fathers had some feud in the past and that lead to some hate between the two families. Most of that was mended in the first book I guess, but Scott didn't react so well when Olivia came bearing an olive branch and since then their relationship was so bad one could call them enemies. Thinking about my feelings when it came to this book made me realize that I only think of one word. Miscommunication. Scott and Olivia could have had their happy ending long before they got it if they had said something. Both of them were good characters and I liked them. Scott admits that he is the wrong party here and I liked that about him. He was honest and there was 0 drama. I wanted some angst and I have come to expect some from Noelle Adams. It was a sweet story.
This book contains three short novels. Authors Chase, York and Adams each bring their own unique writing style to the forced proximity story. I do prefer a bit longer story normally, but their talents shone through and kept me entertained. A great way to read during the busy holiday season!
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my open and honest opinion.
I honestly that I'd enjoy these more, I'm afraid t day I had to push my way through them. The storyline are ones that are normally my jam.
What a wonderfully festive collection of holiday stories. All of them are sure to put you in the mood for a warm fire and some hot chocolate.
Holiday Acres
Loved this one! What happens when you get snowed in with the person you love to hate. What happens when all your true feelings come out? A super explosive, passionate night between the sheets! Loved the history between Olivia and Scott. Enjoyed the story so much, I want to read the rest of the series!
Pine Harbour #8
Another couple stranded by the snow. These two have a booty call history. I surprise baby sends Chloe running but Tom is hot on her trail. His reaction wasn't the best. ONce he finds her, he keeps her safe until the roads clear and ends up warming her heart while he is at it. Great to catch up with some of the other Pine Harbour couples as well. Can't wait to see if these two pop up in future stories!
This is a first for me by all three authors... but won't be my last.
Three all-new holiday novellas about couples finding love while trapped together in the snow.
Stranded in the Snow (Holiday Acres, Book 2) by Noelle Adams
Olivia Holiday doesn't expect to spend the weekend stranded in a romantic cottage during a snowstorm with the one man she dislikes the most. Scott is a player and holds a grudge against her family, and she's determined not to give in to the deep feelings for him she's been hiding.
A Christmas Rescue (Silver Bell Falls, Book 4) by Samantha Chase
Saving a litter of puppies right before Christmas was incredibly rewarding for Bailey Walsh. But getting snowed in with her sexy-yet-grinchy veterinarian boss turns out to be rewarding in a whole other way.
Love on the Edge of Reason (Pine Harbour, Book 8) by Zoe York
Tom Minelli doesn't know why Chloe Davis has fled Pine Harbour, but she's pregnant with his baby and he wants her back. But a winter storm rolls in just as he finds her, trapping them together in a cabin on the lake.
I thoroughly enjoyed each author's contribution to this fantastic holiday book of Novella's.
If you're after a book to curl up with on these cold chilly evenings then this would be a perfect one... they're funny, sweet and romantic, they get you right in the mood for the festive season.
Thank-You Netgalley for my ARC.
Three light and funny Christmas stories, the first two talks about enemies-to- lovers and the last one talk about friends with benefits that need to face an unexpected pregnancy. I've already known the writing of Noelle Adams and Samantha Chase and now I met Zoe York, their stories are so sweet and perfect, exactly the way I love most I love simple stories without much drama and that ending with a great happily ever after. I loved all the characters but the highlight was for Lola and Dr. Grinch.
This wonderful book contains three all-new Christmas stories that will melt your heart and give you that Christmas feeling in October. All three author where new to me before I read this book, below you will read my review of each story. I received an ARC copy by NetGalley to which I have honestly and voluntarily decided to review.

Stranded in the snow by Noelle Adams
This is an enemy to lover read that I just could not put down. She wanted to hate him, he is a player and he holds a grudge towards her family. She has known him all her life but he is not the boys she once knew. This was a fast-paced read that at honours and emotional moments, I will be looking out for the author in the future. This story is not a sweet as it does have a few bedroom moments.
Olivia Holiday was the one woman that Scott Matheson should not be stranded in a cabin in a snowstorm with. Will he be able to hide his true feelings towards her?
What will happen once the snow melts away will what happen between them melt with it?

A Christmas Rescue by Samantha Chase
This is a sweet office romance that I enjoyed very much. We had a Dr Grinch and a sweet and lovely local girl come to blows over the Christmas spirit.
Bailey Walsh work at a veterinarian office as the office girl, this is a job she loves until she has a run in the Dr Grinch over Christmas decorations. When fate and a litter of puppies cause her to be snowed in with her boss for the weekend, she must take a better look at what she has been ignoring.
Dr Gavin Maguire has a been in Silver Bell Falls for just over a year since he brought the veterinarian clinic to start a new life for himself. He does not do Christmas but this town is all about the spirit of the years. How will he keep his professionalism with his employee when they are snowed in for the weekend. An employee he has tried to not think about in any other way than business.
Will he learn to grow past the past that is still affecting his present?

Love on the Edge of Reason by Zoe York
This is a friend with benefit to second chance romance full of will they or won't they make it work. I loved these two characters and felt that had a very realistic story to tell. This is a hot romance with sweet moments that will melt your heart.
Tom Minelli was not always happy with the decision Chloe made about there friends with benefit/ on again off again relationship. He always wants more but he wants her more so he never pushed for more. He has made some mistakes and he fears he has lost Chloe after she tells him she is pregnant. But now she is missing how will he fit everything?
Chloe Davis never wanted a baby or a relationship but it looks like she is getting one of the things she didn’t want. A baby! She could not stay in the small town and be a single mother so she decided to hide than run for a new start for herself and her child.
This wonderful book contains three all-new Christmas stories that will melt your heart and give you that Christmas feeling in October. All three author where new to me before I read this book, below you will read my review of each story. I received an ARC copy by NetGalley to which I have honestly and voluntarily decided to review.
I will be reviewing author Samantha Chase’s contribution to this book.
You know you are getting closer to winter when you want to snuggle in with a good Christmas book. Ms. Chase combines all of my favorite winter things here. Christmas time, adorable puppies, falling in love, snow, I could go on and on. Bailey is such a tender heart, which just draws you into the story.
If you enjoy cuddling up, relaxing with a great book, and romance then this book by these three authors is a one click!!
I adored each of the three novellas in Snowed in for Christmas! I loved that each couple was snowed in for a few days as being trapped together challenged each couple to acknowledge their feelings for each other. Loved the great descriptive writing, sexual tension and honest dialogue in each story.
The sexual tension between Olivia Holiday and Scott Mattheson is sizzles on page one of Stranded in the Snow by Noelle Adams. Olivia’s family runs Holiday Acres, a farm that also serves as a wedding venue. Olivia has a love-hate relationship with Scott and is not amused when her sister asks her to show Scott, a photographer, the farm’s honeymoon cottage. The fun begins when Olivia and Scott are stranded in the cottage. Loved the attraction between Olivia and Scott and the couple’s honest conversations. This story impressed me so much that I ordered the next book in the series.
A Christmas Rescue was my favorite story. I adored Samantha Chase’s Silver Bells holiday romances and this story embodied all of the elements of the Silver Bells series that I love. The characters are fabulous, the romance is sweet and the true meaning of Christmas is woven seamlessly through the story. Loved Bailey and Gavin’s (aka the Grinch) opposites attract story. Bailey loves Christmas; the decorations, the lights and baking. Gavin does not like the holidays... AT ALL. Delivering a litter of puppies during a snowstorm provides this couple the perfect opportunity to explore their feelings for each other. Samantha Chase has written an emotional story filled with her trademark spot on dialogue and humor. And the epilogue is a riot! This story would make a perfect Hallmark movie
Love on the Edge of Reason is the first Zoe York book that I have read. I enjoyed this second chance holiday romance. Tom Minelli is spending Christmas Eve alone. He doesn’t know where Chloe Davis, his friend with benefits, is. Tom tracks Chloe down and arrives at her cabin just as a snow storm lands. They are forced to spend several days together. I loved Tom; he knew that he messed things up with Chloe and he so wanted to make things right. The conversations between the couple were painfully honest and emotional. Spending time in the cabin allowed Tom and Chloe the chance to open up to each other and learn to trust each other. Great characters and a sweet relatable story.
If you are looking for a fun book to read over the holidays, pick up a copy of Snowed in for Christmas!
A CHRISTMAS RESCUE (Silver Bell Falls #4) by Samantha Chase
REVIEW: A CHRISTMAS RESCUE by Samantha Chase follows the acrimonious relationship between veterinarian Dr. Gavin Maguire , and office receptionist Bailey Walsh. The holidays are just around the corner, and Silver Bell Falls Pet Clinic has lost the Christmas spirit thanks to Dr. Gavin Maguire or Dr. Grinch as his employees have started to call him. Unable to stand Gavin’s Scrooge-like behaviour Bailey and the staff decorate the office for Christmas only to be threatened with their jobs within hours of arrival. Unwilling to stand down, Bailey hands in her resignation but quickly finds herself as the veterinarian’s assistant when a homeless lab goes into labor at a downtown shelter, and a snow storm shuts down Silver Bell Falls. What ensues is the quick building romantic relationship between Gavin and Bailey when Bailey becomes snowbound in Gavin’s apartment, and the potential fall-out as Gavin’s past continues to eat away at his heart and his soul.
A CHRISTMAS RESCUE is a sweet story of acceptance, understanding, love and moving forward. The premise is engaging; the romance is passionate-the $ex scenes are implied and fade to black; the characters are colourful, dynamic and stubborn. Samantha Chase invites the reader to Silver Bell Falls where love truly does conquer all.
REVIEW:
STRANDED IN THE SNOW by Noelle Adams is a contemporary, adult , stand alone romance story line in the author’s Holiday Acres Series. This is marketing and advertising coordinator Olivia Holiday, and photographer Scott Matheson’s story line.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Scott and Olivia) STRANDED IN THE SNOW follows the enemies to lovers relationship between event coordinator Olivia Holiday, and photographer Scott Matheson.
There is some bad blood between the Holiday and Matheson families, bad blood that has resulted in a long standing feud over ownership of the Holiday family owned Holiday Acres in central Virginia. Hoping to get an early look at one of the cottages for an upcoming photo shoot, Scott and Olivia find themselves snowbound in the Holiday Acres honeymoon cottage, where food is in abundance but the power and heat are in short supply. Emotional and overly sensitive, Olivia struggles with her nearness to a man she loves to hate. Time together means reminiscing about events of the past, and the realization that not all is as it seems. What ensues is the enemies to lovers relationship between Scott and Olivia, and the potential fall-out as Scott struggles with demons from his past.
STRANDED IN THE SNOW is a fast paced, entertaining and heart breaking story line. There is some back story and history between the Matheson and Holiday families but the current generation is pushing aside the poison and lies that all but destroyed two families.

This book features three stories by three INCREDIBLE authors Noelle Adams,Samantha Chase and Zoe York. Each story gives us it's own unique dose of holiday magic but Christmas Rescue by Samantha Chase really touches on the spirit of the holidays just like those old Christmas movies that we love. Gavin is a closed off veterinarian in the wonderful town of Silver Bell Falls and Bailey is his vivacious office manager who loves Christmas. Gavin doesn't open up to people and Bailey never met a person she didn't like until it's time to decorate the office for Christmas and Gavin's attitude pushes her over the edge and she resigns but when there's an emergency and they're stranded together will they get a Christmas miracle? You really need to read this book and find out what happens with Gavin and Bailey. Ms.Chase's Christmas books always remind me of the true Christmas classics like It's A Wonderful Life you have to experience the magic for yourselves! I would definitely recommend this book with three AMAZING stories to put you in the holiday spirit!
A Christmas Rescue brings an veterinarian and his office manager in close quarters. They have to work together to keep the stray dog and her litter of puppies she finds well. Keeping the dogs safe is the easy part. Dealing with what is occurring between them is the fun part.
Love on the Edge of Reason brings us to a friends with benefits couple with a slight complication coming in nine months. Can they be more than what they are relationship wisw?
This was a great book with three great stories.
** I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a honest review **
Another super cute Christmas story from Samantha Chase - this time an office romance with animals! Small town grinch meets Christmas lover makes for lots of great tension!
The box set includes two other stories from authors that were new to me! I then ended up reading an entire series from Zoe York. Definitely check this out for a good holiday read.... as we enter the holiday season!
