OMG!! This is a must buy if you love Christmas romance! You don’t want to miss this book that contains three lovely Christmas themed romances. These are three wonderful romances with characters that will pull you in from the beginning. You will root for them and fall in love, and the next thing you know you are starting the next one and getting pulled in all over again.
I will admit, though, A Christmas Rescue by Noelle Adams and Stranded in the Snow by Samantha Chase were my absolute favorites. I am a lover of both authors and just devoured their stories. Love on the Edge of Reason by Zoe York was good, but she is a new read for me and her writing style was difference than I am used to. But even with that said, I did enjoy her contribution.
You DO NOT want to miss this perfect Christmas collection!
3.5 Stars!
Snowed in for Christmas is comprised of three holiday novellas by authors Noelle Adams, Samantha Chase and Zoe York. I love the "snowed in" theme and never pass up the opportunity to read this romance trope. These established romance authors never fail to disappoint.
Stranded in the Snow, Noelle Adams - 3.5 Stars
Olivia and Scott have known each other since grade school, and overtime they have convinced themselves that the romantic pull they feel is insignificant. Unfortunately, the bad blood between their respective families will always hang over their heads. A snowstorm right before Christmas traps them together in a little cottage, which results in a forever they could never have imagined.
I liked this story and Olivia and Scott are a hot couple. Their sexy times are steamy as well as loving. I found Olivia's character to be a bit whiny and immature, and at times I had to tune out her dialogue. Scott was a good guy and I felt his need to be loved with every discovery he made about his life. The realism between the two characters was perfectly executed in the epilogue.
A Christmas Rescue, Samantha Chase - 4 Stars
Dr. Gavin Maquire is a veterinarian with a huge heart, however, he does not have any Christmas spirit. He recently took over a thriving practice in the small town of Silver Bell Falls, complete with receptionist Bailey Walsh and two assistants. Bailey is wonderful at her job, even though she is a tad too chatty for Gavin's liking. Both Bailey and Gavin find each other attractive, however, Gavin prefers to keep his personal life private and distances himself from all non-related work issues. Thus, Bailey and Gavin never have any meaningful conversations. While the town is decorated beautifully for the holiday season, the vet practice is void of any Christmas cheer. Gavin the Grinch has become quite commonplace in and around the office and town. Thanks to a couple of heated arguments, a snow storm that prevents Bailey from going home after work, and a litter of homeless puppies, Bailey and Gavin are able to find their forever together.
This is a well-written, clean Christmas story.
Love on the Edge of Reason by Zoe York - 2.5 Stars
Unfortunately, I did not care for this novella. I was unable to feel a connection between the two main characters, librarian Chloe Davis and Tom Minelli, a search and rescue expert. However, the sex scenes are incredibly hot.
Snowed in for Christmas is an anthology by Noelle Adams, Zoe York, and Samantha Chase. Cute stories as couples wind up snowed in for the weekend together. Novella length for each story, you can read one at a time when you have a free moment to get away from all the busyness of the hectic season.
Stranded in the Snow is Holiday Acres, Book 2 by Noelle Adams. An “enemies to lovers” story with two surprised characters. Neither expected to be stuck together or find out that they may not dislike each other as much as they thought. 4 Stars
A Christmas Rescue is Silver Bell Falls, Book 4 by Samantha Chase. Again this is an addition to a well-established series. This is also my favorite of the three. Everyone knows the Grinch had a poor dog, but did you know he also was a veterinarian. His heart will grow as the story progresses, it is not just because of the office decoration either. One office manager and a sweet litter of puppies do the trick. 5 Stars
Love on the Edge of Reason is Pine Harbour, Book 8 by Zoe York. It is a second chance or maybe just a “I won’t give up on us” story. No stalking or creepy guy in this story but one determined man trying to find out how to make it right. 4 Stars
4.5 Stars
The anthology is by three well-known romance writers so enjoy one of your favorite authors or get to know a new author.
Not ready for Christmas decorations yet but it's always time for Christmas stories. This book with 3 novellas is an enjoyable read. There is a chill in the air here so it made the snow in the book perfect. 3 quick stories about love and Christmas and family. I really enjoyed.
Three favorite authors, each with a holiday story...what's not to love! Noelle Adams, Samantha Chase and Zoe York all contribute different but romantic stories, with varying degrees of heat. If you picked this set up because of one author, don't miss out on the chance to read the others...I've discovered some of my favorites from anthologies.
Noelle Adams brings us a spicy enemies to lovers story. Part of her Holidays Acres series, Stranded in the Snow is about Scott and Olivia are old acquaintances, but family drama keep them from being friends. Being stuck together in a cabin on Olivia's family's tree farm is not the ideal situation for either of them. Because underneath the bad feelings and misunderstandings are new, stronger, sexy feelings, on both their parts. Olivia and Scott found common ground and discovered the real person hiding under each of their facades. Fun story, great author...and I cannot wait to read about her sister and his brothers!
A Christmas Rescue is Samantha Chase's contribution to this anthology. It features a grumpy veterinarian, his (overly?) chatty office manager and a passel of adorable pups. Dr. Gavin Maguire is new in town and definitely not a people person. He's great with the animals who come to the clinic, but his interactions with their owners, and his staff, leave a lot to be desired. "Dr Grinch" gets especially grumpy when the women in the office decorate for Christmas, despite his objections. Bailey feels she can no longer work in what she feels is a hostile environment, and decides to quit. But not before getting snowed in at the clinic...and Gavin's upstairs apartment...with a rescue dog and her litter of puppies. Can a talkative, bubbly lover of Christmas find love and happiness with a taciturn, bottled-up introvert? Will Gavin be able to break away from the memories of his childhood and embrace the inclusive, nosy, charming town of Silver Bell Falls...and Bailey? Chance are excellent, as Samantha Chase is the queen of sweetly hot romance...sensual and loving, with the action taking place under the covers. Make sure to check out the previous Silver Bell Falls books, too, for more Christmas romance!
Last, but certainly not least, we have Zoe York's Love on the Edge of Reason, featuring Tom Minelli and Chloe Davis of Pine Harbour. This friends with benefits pairing is welcoming (?!) a surprise baby in about seven months. Chloe is freaked out and takes off after Tom's less-than-thrilling reaction. Tom tracks her down, though, because while he's a shocked as she is, he's anything but unhappy. He's out to overcome her resistance to them as a couple while she's bound and determined to leave town as soon as the snow stops. While I wish Tom's story was a full length book...I've been waiting for his story as I read each of the previous Pine Harbour books...I still adored their romance. If you haven't read any of Zoe York's books, and I ask, why not?...they are definitely more spicy than the previous two authors. But they are certainly just as romantic and wonderful. Catch up on her back list, too, for some seriously hot romance with strong women and the soldier (past and present) who love them.
All in all, an enthusiastic 5 star read for me! Though each was short, they were all full of romance! Grab it now!
What a great combination to read after a super busy week. Reading these snowy holiday romances was the perfect way to relax. I love that I was able to find two new to me authors and continue a wonderful series from Ms. Chase. Now I have a few other books I need to go read!
Three terrific Christmas stories which will keep you turning the pages until you are on the final one. I loved how quickly I could read these stories. The stories are written by 3 different authors who I enjoy reading and so to have them all in the same book was wonderful.
Snowed in for Christmas has three fun, flirty, holiday stories to get you into the Christmas spirit. Written by three amazing authors, the heroine and hero of each story have been forced together due to a snow storm.
Stranded in the Snow by Noelle Adam: Olivia and Scott present a excellent enemies to Lovers story since there is so much bad blood between their families. When forced to be together they have to put things aside to get by. As they do they realize they have feelings for each other, and it’s not necessarily hatred.
A Christmas Rescue by Samantha Chase: Bailey is a native of Silver Bell Falls while Gavin is new to the area. He just took over the Veterinary clinic in town and doesn’t enjoy Christmas. Silver Bell Falls is all about Christmas. When they are forced together to take care of a new mom her puppies they both give in to something they have been dreaming about.
Love on the Edge of Reason by Zoe York: Chloe is pregnant and Tom is the father, but Chloe “runs” away. Tom knows a storm is coming and he wants to make sure Chloe is ok. He doesn’t feel like he has done anything right leading up to this.
This is a delightful collection; filled with sexual chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters. I highly recommend this book to other readers.
his review is for Silver Bells Falls by Samantha Chase. First I love coming back to my favorite Christmas town. This story reads like Hallmark movie. Gavin is a gifted veterinarian who is very shut off from other people. Bailey is his sweet and gregarious receptionist. They get stuck in a snowstorm while rescuing a pregnant dog. It is really the dog that rescues them. Gavin is drawn to Bailey but he had many struggles during his childhood. Gavin fears that if he gets too attached people will leave. Bailey gives him hope. Gavin needs someone like Bailey in his corner. Once Bailey sees his softer side she is totally attracted to him. I loved Gavin's puppy Cooper in this book he was adorable. Gavin finally admits to himself the reason he came to Silver Bells Falls he wants to be part of the community. I recommend all Samantha Chase Silver Bells Falls books if you are looking to warm up your holiday season with heartfelt romance.
Sweetly thrilling holiday romances that will make you feel all warm and cozy..... Each one has a different trapped in a snowstorm romance from three very entertaining series, loved all three!
Olivia and Scott are the perfect enemies to lovers holiday story complete with a interesting family feud built in.... Really enjoyed getting to know the charters from Holiday Acres and it makes me want to find the other books in the series.
Bailey and Gavin area also an enemies to lovers holiday story that is filled with so much heart.... I really loved their witty banter and emotional insight. Who could possibly resist Silver Bell Falls at Christmas.
Tom and Chloe are a sweetly heartwarming friends with benefits to so much more story... An unexpected pregnancy has Chloe running for the hills and Tom desperate to prove that they can be so much more then either of them originally though possible.
Bring on the holiday cheer! This set has 3 charming Christmas novellas that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit. Three amazing authors that do the romance genre justice, you can't go wrong with this boxed set!
A Christmas Rescue by Samantha Chase is part of a 3-novella anthology and is book #4 in the Silver Bell Falls series. All three stories are set in similar situations… two people who are stranded in the snow and who are forced to face their fears, their pasts, their realities.
In A Christmas Rescue, we meet Bailey and Gavin (aka Dr. Grinch). Bailey works for Gavin who is a veterinarian with a chip on his shoulder. She is perky and cute and is well-loved by all everyone in the town. It is Christmas and the Dr’s office is in a sad state with no decorations or Christmas spirit to speak of. Gavin has a surly attitude and the office staff has just about reached their limit of his “grinchyness.”
Little does the staff know there is a good reason for Gavin’s anti-Christmas behavior… and it takes a dog named Lola and a blizzard for Bailey to see the Dr’s true personality. There is a lot of emotion and feeling packed into this short book.
Even though this is novella is part of the Silver Bell Falls series, it can be read as a stand-alone. I do recommend the previous books in the series, though. You will enjoy them just as much!
If you love Christmas and all the holiday brings from snuggling up in front of a warm fire while sipping hot chocolate, baking cookies and cuddling up with someone you love, then these three stories have all the warm good feels that you will enjoy!
In each story, there is a bit of animosity between the two main characters, but getting stranded together in a snow storm allows each couple a chance to really get to know the other and the magic of the holiday season takes care of the rest.
If you haven’t had the chance to read books from any of these wonderful authors than this is a perfect opportunity to get to know the sweet characters and towns that each of these three authors write about.
Snowed in for Christmas is a beautiful novella collection of romance and Christmas stories. I found each story sweet, engaging, and heartfelt.
It felt like I was there experiencing the magic of the moments along with the characters. Each characters has been holding back on their romantic/lustful feelings. It was funny to watch as those feelings blossomed. Strong willed, smart, and charming, these characters had a way of pulling me into their story.
These tales showed more than just people acting on their romantic feelings towards each other. It showed how personalities changed due to kindness. How helping others made for a better future...and how being selfless can bring better tidings and cheer to all.
I really liked how Samantha Chase wove the love of animals into her story. That one was my favorite. But each of these contemporary romance pieces were just as good as the one before it. Overall, I highly recommend this book to readers everywhere.
The perfect holiday read for this season. Three novellas that all take place while being snowed in, I thoroughly enjoyed all of the stories but my favorite was from Samantha Chase.
A Christmas Rescue. Enemies to lovers, that takes place in one my favorite Christmas town, Silver Bell Falls. With the delivery of puppies and being snowed in with her boss, Dr Grinch, the local veterinarian, Bailey might change his mind of Christmas. This is a sweet romance.
Stranded in the Snow by Noelle Adams, Scott and Olivia are stranded in a cottage during a snow storm, they are enemies to lovers. Scott has always been a player where Olivia is looking for her forever. After being stranded, will Scott realize he wants more than one night stands. The heat level is a little hotter.
Love on the Edge of Reason by Zoe York, is a surprise baby. Tom and Chloe have had a casual relationship but secretly Tom has always wanted more. They are stranded in a snow storm and can Tom prove to Chloe that he his her forever. The heat level is hot.
Each book can be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend these stories of finding love at Christmas.
Snowed in for Christmas contains 3 phenomenal stories by 3 spectacular authors Noelle Adams, Samantha Chase and Zoe York
Do you like Christmas stories? Then this book is certainly for you, times 3. There 3, yes, 3 wonderful books by the phenomenal Zoe York, Samantha Chase, and Noelle Adams.
First, I must say, when I heard about this book and the authors involved, I screamed “YES”!!! These are three of my all-time favorite authors. I have yet to read ANYTHING by them that I have not absolutely loved, and these wonderful stories are no exception!!! Each of these stories are part of individual series by all three authors. Yes, they are all standalone stories. You will recognize some of the subcharaters
In Noelle Adams story, Stranded in the Snow (Holiday Acres, Book 2), we have an enemies to lovers story. Olivia Holiday and Scott Matheson are the heroine and hero of the story. Their families were friends and business partners until Olivia’s father swindled Scott’s father out of the business. After Olivia’s father dies, they find proof of what he did and the Holiday’s make amends to the Matheson’s and all is forgiven, well almost all. Scott and Olivia…not so much. The situation between Scott and Olivia comes to a head when they are stranded together during a snowstorm. Watching the two of them work out their differences while trapped together…. Let me say this communication and understanding was key. I was pulled into this story from the very beginning and did not want to be let out.
Samantha Chase’s A Christmas Rescue (Silver Bell Falls, Book 4) was the second story in this wonderful book. I have read most of the books in Ms. Chase’s Silver Bell Falls series, and thus far, I think this is my favorite, maybe it’s the puppies, maybe the characters, but most definitely the story. I really like “love unknown” stories. Bailey and Gavin both have an attraction to the other, but neither will admit it to the other. Silver Bell Falls is a town steeped in Christmas traditions. Gavin, he is new to town. When he had the chance to take over the local veterinary clinic, he could not help moving there, in spite of his feelings for Christmas, and all it represents to him and his past. Holly LOVES Christmas and everything the town does to represent the holiday. Holly and Gavin butt heads about decorations in the office to the point that she quit her job over them. The evening she is giving Gavin her resignation an emergency call comes in regarding a severely pregnant dog having trouble with the labor. Holly goes with Gavin to bring the dog back to the clinic. When a severe snow storm hits Holly and Gavin are stranded together with an in labor pregnant dog, and then her puppies. While they are stranded, and here it is again, they really start to communicate. Gain tells Holly why he feels the way he does about Christmas, and eventually they both admit their feelings for the other. But Gavin still holds back and Holly and she confronts him about it, and when he won’t commit… sorry ladies, no spoilers. I will say I wanted to Gibbs slap Gavin in the back of the head.
Zoe York’s Love on the Edge of Reason (Pine Harbour, Book 8). This story is a “friends with benefits” story. Weeellll, that is what Chloe (our heroine) thinks, and when a surprise pregnancy happens, she takes off after misinterpreting To m’s (the hero) reaction to the news. You see, Tom loves Chloe, but he knows that she will never return his feelings, so he is afraid to tell her. With the help of friends, Tom locates Chloe, he knows that they need to talk, really talk (yeah here is that word again “communicate”), When he goes to the cabin she is hiding at, they get stranded there because of a snow storm. Tom finally tells Holly about his feelings, she does not, or is afraid to believe him.
OK readers, let me say this, each of these stories on their own are great. Put them together in one book…. FREAKING PHENOMENAL!!!!! My one and only problem with this book, yeah sorry ladies, I did have a problem. I wanted MORE!!! I got so deep into each and every story, I did not want any of them to end. But, in my opinion, that is a great problem to have. It means that the story holds it own, There is a line in the entertainment community, and I may not be quoting it correctly, but here it is: “Always leave them wanting more”. Well Ladies, Samantha, Zoe, and Noelle, in my honest opinion, you definitely accomplished this. Kudos Ladies of a PHENOMENAL release!!!
Thank you for reading my review. So, Reader, yes you! What are you waiting for release week only, (thru to October 27, I believe) you can get this spectacular book for only 99 PENNIES, that 33 pennies per story!!! This sale is for release week only. So grab this book now!!! In my honest opinion, you will not be disappointed!!
Wow! Who doesn't love a good Christmas story. In Snowed in for Christmas we get three stories in one book by three different authors. Often when I think of romance I think of Christmas as a great romantic backdrop. I mean snow and cold air and fire in the fireplace and hot chocolate and a hot guy. Perfect. Well Samantha Chase has definitely brought back Christmas and romance again. Samantha Chase is definitely my go to author for great romance. She has a style about her I just love. Samantha Chase knows how to captivate her readers. She has a way of making you feel as if you are a part of that world. She knows how to tug at your heartstrings. Her words dance on a page.
Samantha wrote A Christmas Rescue which is book four in her Silver Bell Falls series. First I am going to say I am so excited to get another Silver Bell Falls book. I love the town of Silver Bell Falls. Everything about screams quaint and cozy and warm. I love the people in the town they just are so warm and caring. I want to live in Silver Bell Falls. Silver Bell Falls is the perfect town for a Christmas romance.
In A Christmas Rescue we meet Bailey Walsh and Gavin McGuire. I love their chemistry. Bailey works for Gavin and has given him the nickname Dr. Grinch. In the beginning he does seem to be a Grinch but as in all of Samantha's books there is more than meets the eye. Once these two get together things heat up. I found myself laughing and having heartswooning moments as well as my heart breaking when I heard Gavin's back story. My heart really went out for Gavin. I also loved the pet aspect of this story. I love animals. They are just so cuddly and sweet. There is something about a man who takes care of animals especially dogs. Bailey and Gavin definitely have chemistry and I believe they are perfectly matched.
Samantha Chase did a great job taking us back to Silver Bell Falls and giving us another great Christmas romance. I loved the secondary characters in the story. I loved the setting and plot. I just felt my heart soar as I read A Christmas Rescue. Something about Christmas time and snow and romance that make a great story. Samantha Chase really captivated me from page one and kept me captivated throughout the entire story. I loved A Christmas Rescue so much that I had to read this story a second time. It just leaves you with that feeling you get at Christmas and I just love that. Grab your copy and fall in love with A Christmas Rescue and the town of Silver Bell Falls and Samantha Chase like so many others have.
Snowed in for Christmas is a wonderful read and will definitely put you in the mood for Christmas. All three of these stories were fun to read. Each of these stories makes you want to check out each of their series.
I have thoroughly enjoyed A Christmas Rescue. I fell in love with Bailey and Gavin (aka the Grinch) immediately and of course the puppies made the story even sweeter. Silver Bell Falls is a great series and this story is a great addition.
I'm in the mood for love. Aren't you? Tis the season for feel good stories that ward off the chill and make the heart rejoice. Snowed in for Christmas makes for a great stocking stuffer. Three unforgettable voices unite in a song of courageous hope, irresistible romance and powerful storytelling. Chase, York and Adams remind us there's a hint of grinch in us all, but a bad attitude does not hide a pure heart. Fun, flirty and heartwarming. Chase away those winter blues with the healing power of love.
Three fun flirty holiday reads. All 3 stories are enjoyable and will get you in the holiday spirit.
Stranded in the Snow: Olivia and Scott are a great enemies to Lovers to story. There is a lot of bad blood between their families. When forced to be together they have to put things aside to get by. As they do thy realize there are feelings there and they aren’t hatred.
A Christmas Resue: Bailey is a native of Silver Bell Falls, Gavin is new to the area. He just took over the Veterinary clinic in town and doesn’t enjoy Christmas. Silver Bell Falls is all about Christmas. When they are forced to stay together and take care of a new mom her her puppies they will both give in to something they have been been dreaming about. Just wish there were more mentions of other Silver Bell Falls characters.
Love on the Edge or Reason: Chloe is pregnant. Tom is the father, but Chloe “runs” away. Tom knows a storm is coming and he wants to make sure Chloe is ok. He doesn’t feel like he as done anything right leading up to this. This is my first book by Zoe.
