This is Megan and Charles story. Megan has played Rosie “the housekeeper” at the Whitley-Moran mansion for two years.
Being a history buff she knows the story by heart. But even she is not prepared for the real Charles Whitley to appear. It is time travel, creating “A Timeless Christmas “. Obstacles are overcome by members of the cast including Megan. The question is what will happen between Megan and Charles?

I normally love time travel books. For some reason I could not get into this one. It did not hold my interest. I hate to admit it but I skimmed through it after the first few chapters.

Take time to read this enchanting story this holiday season! You’ll find your Christmas spirit and Christmas love with Meghan Turner as your guide. After getting her PH.D. in History, Meghan has returned to her hometown of Cutter Spring and is serving as a reenactor guide at the town’s historic home.

She is quite knowledgeable about the house’s provenance, and while she loves each artifact and fixture, she has a special place in her heart for the home’s original owner, Charles Whitely. He was a mercurial inventor who mysteriously disappeared at the height of his business life.

And then one afternoon as she is guiding a tour to Mr. Whitley’s study- there he is! He’s at his desk and very displeased to be interrupted by a crowd of people in unusual dress, holding small devices. We learn that somehow an unusual clock that he had purchased in 1902 has transported him to today’s world.

Meghan is delighted and is drawn to his old-fashioned attitude, demeanor and manners and good looks. As an inventor, he is able to quickly accustom himself to the features of the present day. He is able to understand computers, smart phones, and kitchen appliances but he has much more trouble understanding matters of the heart. In his real life, he always forged ahead, focusing on what his head could achieve and not what his heart needed.

Charles is determined to return to 1902, but Meghan begins to show him the spirit of Christmas, which includes sweet love, sugary cookies and spicy pizza. Meghan is ready to spend the future with him, but will time unbraid their love on Christmas Eve? Even though I was hoping for a Happy Ever After, I wasn’t sure if it was going to happen.

I had a wonderful time with this loveable story and I look forward to trying out the pizza recipe at the end of the book!

Many thanks to Hallmark Publishing for an ARC. This is my hones review.

The cover of this book is so gorgeous and magical and the story itself was just as magical! Time travel stories are so much fun to read and this one definitely did not disappoint! I can see this being a story that I read every year at Christmastime and never tired of reading. It was perfect for getting yourself in the Christmas spirit and I didn't want to put the book down! If you know someone who loves reading, this would make a great Christmas gift. A Timeless Christmas is one of the more recent Hallmark books that does not have a movie that accompanies it, but I really hope this becomes a Hallmark movie in the future because I loved it! I recommend this book for fans of Hallmark movies and Christmas fanatics.

I don't usually read time travel books, but I'm so glad I read this one. It was very well written and holds your attention from beginning to end. This is a Hallmark book so it is suitable for all ages and has a great sounding recipe at the end. Would make a great Christmas gift. Thank you Hallmark Publishing via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion of this book.

I would love to work there as a tour guide.

Ah, so he was alive in 1902, but maybe he isn't dead yet?

Ooh, sneaky.

Get a life, Ryan.

Charles is a heart attack waiting to happen.

So he will get Eliza a present, but he won't spend Christmas Eve with her to give it to her?

So many things that he is learning about are truly ridiculous. It was better living in his time.

Haha, poor Dan.

Everyone is taking this way better than I thought they would.

Kale cookies? Ew.

Professor Coyle probably forgot.

He became too modern for his real time. Plus, Eliza was happy. Why ruin it.

Okay, I love time-travel stories. I don't know why but I just do and this book does not disappoint.

Megan is enthralled with history. She just can't get enough of it. By day she works as a tour guide in the home of Charles Whitley a millionaire who mysteriously went missing in 1902. Then, a man claiming to be the Charles Whitley shows up having claimed time-traveled from 1902 to 2018. Now they have to find a way to get him home....without her falling in love with him first.

Like all Hallmark material, this book is appropriate for all readers.

I wasn't sure how this one was going to end....there were several possibilities that all could have worked out well, but I liked it. Having spent many winters Christmas-ing at the Biltmore House, it was so easy to imagine the scenery and town, and the author does a great job of bringing both the setting and characters to life. I love the premise of the time-travel romance...usually these things work with someone going back in time, so it was nice to see a person brought into the future. These cute Christmas Hallmark books never fail to act like a warm blanket to the soul!
