I loved this book! It was full of humor, steam, and honesty (except with themselves). Olivia learned to believe what others said about her because of Cam's directness. He was a sweet but mixed up man. By the end of the book, there were tears and smiles. I did not want to stop reading this story. I highly recommend this story. It was sort of sad to end this series, but I look forward to the next one.

I received an ARC through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

While some of the other hockey players sounded familiar, I was not sure if I had read any of their stories and found that it was easy to read this as a stand alone. But sad that this is the last of the Aces books.

Cam and Olivia seemed doomed to failure with him asking her out on a date because of a bet and Olivia wanting to ask him to be her spokesperson. Then their dates were so bad that you just figured that they would call it quits.

I was so glad when Cam finally confessed to Olivia about the second bet, and I can understand her being hurt but she was also using him so kinda the same thing.

It was fun to watch as Cam and Olivia didn't realize that the time they were spending together was leading up to a relationship when neither of them wanted that but so great when it all worked out.

Glad that Cam's dad was able to make him understand what he had been hiding from himself and loved that big bag of stinky laundry.

What an ending to the series along with the HEA!

Olivia Lockwood has put her heart and soul into the charity she founded. She is a bit leary of any new relationships and quite guarded when it comes to her family ties.

Cam “Brick” Brickley doesn’t do relationships. After accepting a bet from his teammates, he’s found himself in denial of his feelings for the beauty he can’t stop thinking about.

This is the last in the Chicago Aces series and I’m saddened to see it end. I loved the characters and how they were able to build a relationship with little effort. Her insecurities made her realistic and his cocky attitude was somewhat endearing.

I loved this book and I will definitely be downloading the rest of the series as well as checking out her other work

Cam & Oliva I loved this series. I fell for this couple a little more with each chapter. Cam is a player on and off the Ice and he takes a crazy bet on a gal that he thinks is so out of his league, Olivia she is strong, smart and her own woman . She has be burned in the past by men that where interested in her but found her family and their business much more appealing. Their relationship starts out on false pretenses but soon becomes so much fun and real! I couldn't help but root for this couple and their fabulous cast of characters ! So sad to see this series end!!

Even though this is the final Aces Hockey novel, it is the first I have read and I loved every minute of this exciting read that included hot action on and off the ice. Once I started reading, I was turning the pages as fast as I could to see what was going to happen and didn't want it to be over when I got to the end. I really liked Olivia Lockwood, heiress to the Lockwood Industries fortune, and her dynamic with the other characters especially Cam Brickley who she wants to help promote her nonprofit, Move On Chicago. I loved their instant attraction, sizzling chemistry and repartee as the story developed. I am so intrigued by the Aces, I am going to have to read all of the previous books.

Game On is a must read for fans of well-crafted sports romance. I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and this is my unbiased review.

Okay so no judgement, but this is the first book I have read in this series. I know. I know. I am going completely backwards and while this did not hinder my enjoyment of the story in any way, I already know I will definitely be going back and reading the rest.

I loved the combination of sweet and heat. It was fun and sexy and it had just a sprinkling of angst that made it perfect. I did not want to put this book down and I can't wait to go back and read more from this author.

I'm a big fan of sportsromances and ones involving hockey in particular, so my expectations are high when I read something by a new to me author! From the start, Game on sucked me right in. The book starts off with Cam agreeing to a bet. First that he can't get the beautiful woman he sees to go out with him and on top of that, after dating her for two months that he won't fall in love.

Cam may seem like a typical arrogant jock, but not that far into the book it's clear that there's more to him that meets the eye. He may have his choice of women and not stick to one after sleeping with them a few times, but he is a true gentleman. The woman doesn't pay for dates, he even seems protective. Cam knows he needs to work for what he's got and doesn't take it for granted.

Olivia is over men! After her she caught her now ex-fiance cheating on her, she was done. She's decided to concentrate on her non-profit organization, despite her family not agreeing with that at all. I liked Olivia. Even though she comes from money, that's not something she took lightly. Her starting her own non-profit instead of working for the family business didn't go easily.

Olivia has never felt completely accepted and she feels like she's always competing with her siblings. So when Cam, a famous hockey player, asks her out, she sees the perfect opportunity to help out her non-profit. No more, no less.

Game On is a sexy, funny and feelgood romance. I haven't read the first seven books, but the way the players are around each other, it makes me want to dive in. Kelly Jamieson made me love Cam and Olivia from the start. On top of that, she made them feel real. I mean, in what book do the characters have a great first date to end up puking, because of food poisoning? While I felt bad for them, it was hilarious.

Cam and Olivia fit together perfectly and I love their chemistry. Even though they both are in it to gain something, it's clear that they're starting to feel more than they bargained for. I loved that the romance was kind of slow burn though. They didn't jump into bed together and were all of a sudden in love. They actually went on dates (that didn't always go well) and met each other's friends and family.

The romance, humor, sexy times and other aspects of their lives was in perfect balance in this book. I loved reading about what they were both doing when the other was off working. I'm also a big fan that this author actually had them be honest to the other that they were using each other. In most romances it comes out at the worst possible moment and they end up upset. That wasn't the case in Game On and I really appreciated.

If you're looking for a fun sports romance filled with humor, romance, some feel good moments and characters you can relate to (even if they're famous hockey players), Game on is the book for you! I will definitely be checking out the rest of this series!

I really loved Olivia and Cam’s story. I was instantly drawn to them and loved how their relationship was built on a foundation of them getting to know each other. Yes, there was instant chemistry and lust, but they didn’t act on it immediately. Their first date was perfect – well, aside from the aftereffects of the food – talk about great first impressions!

I’m sad to say I have only read one other book from this series, but that is soon to change as I am going to go back and get the others I do not have. I thoroughly enjoyed Kelly Jamieson’s writing style, her descriptions, her character development. Her love and knowledge of hockey is evident in her writing. I could clearly see and feel each and every scene whether it be on the ice, in the bar, in the bedroom… Speaking of the bedroom, holy hotness!

I highly recommend this book and I for one am looking forward to going back and reading all the others in this series and hope you do as well.

Thank you to the publisher, the author, and Netgalley for an advance reader copy. These are my honest and unbiased opinions.

Olivia Lockwood has always felt like she didn’t really fit in with her family, a disappointment. Unlike her brother and sister, she didn’t want a job in the “family” business. She wanted to make a difference in children’s lives. So she started a nonprofit organization that encouraged children to exercise, run. As an overweight child, Liv’s life changed when she was introduced to cross country running. Although she wasn’t an Olympian, it provided her with the push she needed. After missing out on a huge grant, Olivia and her friends decide to drown their sorrows and come up with a new strategy to raise money at the local bar.

Cam and his buddies of the Chicago Aces are always making stupid bets. When his teammates bet Cam that he can’t get a date, then continue to date the same woman for two months without falling in love...Cam immediately accepts. Game On!!! There’s no way he’s giving up his single lifestyle to be with one woman. Until he lays eyes on the woman they’ve chosen...

If you’re looking for a highly entertaining, hockey novel...this is the ONE! The humorous date mishaps remind me of my days on Match.com. The stupid locker room bets where someone always gets their feelings hurt, but you look back on and laugh. That’s only a part of what makes this novel so AWESOME! I enjoyed Cam’s choice of date night activities. I wish there was a place in Oklahoma that had nothing but board games to play. That was the perfect way for Cam and Liv to really get to know one another! Can what started out as bet turn out to be so much more? I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Olivia Lockwood is smart, funny and dedicated to her cause. She is used to people using her to get what they want as she is an heiress. Cam Brickley is major hockey player on the Aces hockey team. You would think he is full of himself but that is not who he is. He is all about his family, friends and making sure his team makes the playoffs.Cam is a softy when it comes to kids. From the moment they meet, sparks fly. Teammates are giving him grief about dating and her friends are pushing her to date. Thanks for taking us to spots in Chicago that I'm sure people have never heard of. Olivia made me want to tour Chicago with new eyes. Parts of this book will have you laughing and smiling. Oh watching these two fall in love was all worth it.

cam brickley of the chicago aces finally gets his turn at love. the ever-single and loving it hockey player finds love by losing a bet. he tries so hard not to, but the process of him trying to win this bet brings him so much joy. and olivia lockwood is his perfect counterpart. both of them are so similar, in so many small ways. they are hesitant to put their hearts on the line, afraid that if they try they'll fail.

but the thing is, if you don't try, you won't win.

so it's game on. this is officially the last book in the chicago aces series. and we get nice updates from all the characters. i love seeing chaser and jordyn again, because playing hurt was one of my faves. cam and olivia have a similar arc to chase and jordyn, we get to see their dates and getting to know you process and i really enjoyed this part of the story. i loved how they fit together and how they understand each other. i love how they step up for one another. it was just the perfect way to close out a beloved series.

jamieson assures us that there are more hockey stories in her future, and that the end of the series doesn't mean that it's the end of us catching glimpses of our beloved characters in new stories. and i love that. because this is one great group of characters.

**game on will publish on january 15, 2019. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/random house publishing group (loveswept) in exchange for my honest review.

This is my first book from author, Kelly Jamieson while its the last book in the series it is also a standalone. Enjoyed meeting the people in the other books and will be purchasing..

Cam Brinkley an Aces pro hockey player, playboy, bachelor and his teammates are always making bets about anything. So while out at their favorite bar they bet Cam he can’t date the same woman for two months straight and not fall in love! They even pick out a beautiful, blonde hair, stacked woman at the bar...all Cam has to do is get her to go out with him. The bet is the loser has to due the others jocks straps for the rest of the season. Cam thinks it’s a piece of cake and he will win...

Olivia Lockwood, beautiful, sexy and heiress to the Lockwood Industries fortune but is to tired of being used for her connections and money. When Cam approaches her at the bar her first instinct is to turn him down but once she realizes who he is he just might be the spokesperson she needs for her children’s charity..

Sparks fly, laughter, compassion are just a few things going on but are they using each other for their own benefit or will being together show them that love can happens when it’s least expected ..

Loved the humor in this book with Cam and Olivia. I’ve enjoyed this series and it was great to see Cam get his happily ever after. When Cam told Olivia about the bet I was shocked, but it really made me like him better as a character. This book was a fitting conclusion to this series, although I hate to see it end!

Kelly Jamieson does it again with another great Aces Hockey read. This is Cam(Brick) and Olivia,s story. Met in a bar, two bets are made, their first two dates are disasterious, both have relationship issues, both have feeling they don't want to admit, add in the hockey season, players and family. It all makes for a great book. You won't want to put it down.

As much as I looked forward to this book, knowing it was the last of the Aces series made it bittersweet. When Cam “Brick” Brickley sees Olivia Lockwood in a bar, she piques his interest. When his teammates bet him that he can’t pick her up and then a second bet that he can’t date her for 2 months and not fall for her, he takes both bets. She agrees because he charms her and because she secretly hopes to get him to be a spokesperson for her sports oriented non-profit for children. They start dating and develop an actual sort of relationship. They both have insecurities about love relationships that they talk about and support each other through.

One of the things I enjoyed about this book is the banter between the two. I also liked that they do interesting things, not just hit the sheets(although said sheet hitting is pretty hot). But my favorite part was that Cam told her early on about the bets when he realized she had been burned by dishonesty in a relationship before. They get creative about how they will handle their friends and families while staying “not emotionally involved”. Well, we all know how well that works. When it all unravels, they both need to take a hard look at what they really want.

I really enjoyed this book and will miss the Aces series but I can’t wait to see what Ms. Jamieson comes up with next

Brick and Olivia both need something from each other. She needs him to be a spokesperson for her charity and he needs her to win a bet. What happens though if they start falling for each other for real though? Not just for Brick to win his bet? What if one falls and the other doesn't?

Heart pounding, laugh out loud funny, sighing was involved and a few tears, the chemistry between these two was super hot!

Unfortunately ‘Game On’ is the last book of Aces Hockey Series, nonetheless it was a wonderful ending to an amazing series. Cam Brickley, aka Brick, is charming, handsome and extremely cocky. He and his teammates can bet on anything and everything. When his teammates bet him that he won’t be able to date with same woman without falling in love, he jumps on it since he doesn’t do love. The only challenging part of this bet for Cam is to convince the hot blonde to date with him for two months. Olivia Lockwood is pretty, smart, independent and determined. Her family is really rich and thanks to her trust fund, instead of working for her family, she runs a nonprofit charity called ‘Move on Chicago’. When Cam starts hitting on her in the bar, her first reaction is to run. But then her friends points that he is the perfect candidate to become the spokesperson of the ‘Move on Chicago’, so she decides she will give Cam a chance for a date. Their attraction for each other is sizzling hot and their banter is hilarious. I still cannot believe after the first and second date how they both wanted to keep dating each other. I enjoyed seeing the ‘real’ Cam, who is sweet and kind. As for Olivia, I love how strong her personality was. Even though, she has insecurities and scars, she never lets these to control her and/or her life. When she knows, what she wants she goes for it. Are you curious about who won the bet and who ended up washing dirty jock straps for the rest of the year? Then, I recommend you to grab your copy and start reading it :)

‘Game On’ is a funny, sweet, lighthearted, sexy story that you won’t be able to put it down until you are done with it. This book can be easily read as a standalone. I am really sad to let go of the Aces Hockey series but also excited that Kelly Jamieson will have a new hockey series: Wynn Hockey.

Would I recommend this book: Yes.
Would I re-read this book: Yes.
Would I read future books by this author: Yes.

Knowing it is the final book in this series was sort of sad but I can and do go back to read books when I need a boost. This is just one of her books that will stay on that list. While I can’t imagine being a hockey player, this author makes it very possible to understand the life led by many professional athletes. She makes every one of her stories a rom-com with the HEA ending we all want and love. This book is no different in that respect. Each story is unique with twists and turns –this one has Cam, the eternal playboy, making a bet as he always does about a woman and Olivia, from a rich family and so tired of being used for her family money, thinking maybe he is different.

A little bit of fun and laughs, steamy sex, and a few tears trying to fall make up a great story for me and this one has it all! What a way to end and looking forward to the next series!

I received an ARC from the publisher for an honest and unbiased review. No compensation was promised or received for the review.

Things come to an exhilarating conclusion in this eighth installment in the Aces Hockey series as a bet between teammates leads to a surprising romance between two people burned by love in the past. In their journey to HEA, Cam and Olivia go through a few ups and downs courtesy of her low self-esteem and his fear of failure, but through it all readers can’t help but root for them. By the turn of the final page readers will be left satisfied with their heart warmed and a big smile on their face.

Cam Brickley’s always gotten what he wants. From the moment he was born everything just seemed to fall into his lap without much effort on his part. The only thing that seems to have eluded him is love. He may be popular with the ladies, but nothing ever lasts more than a few nights as he doesn’t see himself as the relationship type. His friends know this and decide to make the ultimate bet with him, but this time around the bet takes an unexpected turn that gives readers greater insight into the sexy playboy. Cam’s a drool-worthy hockey player, confident in his looks and his athleticism, but when it comes to matters of the heart he’s leery of putting his heart on the line because of a duplicitous young woman from his past. It left him with trust issues and it causes him to hurt Olivia when she was counting on him most. He’s clearly a character with imperfections, a bit arrogant at times, but there’s still lots to like about him. He’s kindhearted when it comes to charity and is a master at being fun and flirty. He was a good support to Olivia throughout the story, building up her self-esteem when it comes to her work and her body, which is why his one moment of cowardice disappointed me so much. Despite that one act though I found Cam very appealing and liked him even more for all the growth his character went through in putting his heart and soul on the line in the name of a HEA...both on and off the ice.

Olivia Lockwood’s always felt like the black sheep of the family, never quite as good as her siblings and a disappointment to her parents. While her siblings chose to work for the family business, she forged her own path into creating a foundation to benefit kids. When it came to her looks she felt lacking there too as her weight was an issue for her growing up. As an adult she hears and feels her family’s judgments and it affects her relationships as she’s full of self-doubt. Coming from a family of wealth leaves her feeling even more vulnerable as she’s never sure if she’s wanted for herself or for her money as a past relationship showed her. The moment she meets Cam is the moment she decides to take some control though and throughout their time together there are moments of give and take, moments that had me cheering. She was the one willing to put her heart on the line, the one to give Cam a chance when he knew he did wrong, the one to often be the more mature of the two. There were other times though where she was immature, like when interacting with his friends and feeling left out, which fed into her low self-esteem and had her acting out. That was a frustrating moment and clearly shows her as a flawed character but with imperfections that are easy to relate to. All of which pulls readers further into this story as Olivia’s a likable heroine who just wants to do good in the world and be loved for who she is. In many ways that’s exactly what Cam wants and it’s what ultimately turns their fake relationship into reality.

This was a fun and flirty read from the very start with lots of erotically-charged and witty banter between the two leads, Olivia and Cam were scorching together with encounters that were sexy yet sweet at times too. Under all the fun though was a surprising emotional intensity as both Cam and Olivia were held back by things in their pasts. They both grew throughout this story, were more willing to put themselves out there, and it made their coupling more satisfying to watch evolve. The bet may have seemed silly from the start but the outcome was far from it as it left me satisfied and cheering. That wasn’t the only cheer-worthy thing in this book though as the ending was perfect for the author to bring the Aces Hockey series to an end. Fans of the series will enjoy the numerous glimpses of past couples and have their hearts warmed by seeing all their HEAs continue. New readers will be enticed by the playful interactions between the teammates and ready to start the series from the beginning to learn more about these sexy and dedicated hockey players. With an ending wrapped up in a satisfying bow I look forward to what Ms. Jamieson has planned next and definitely recommend this book to all fans of rom-coms and sports romances!

4 Cam and Olivia are perfect for one another if they can just realize it’s forever. This emotional roller coaster of this book was very enjoyable with not only romance, but self love as well.
