It’s been a while since I’ve read a good shapeshifter romance. This one definitely made it to my list of Very likeable shapeshifter romances! Loved it and it was such an easy, fast paced read. Looking forward to read the other books in the series as well. The story itself isn’t a unique and original story perse, but that’s often not the case with books in this sub-genre I think. But the writing definitely made it a bit more special though, the author made it her own!

Ellen has one goal: vengeance. With little memory of her life before her imprisonment by a maniacal werewolf, her world has been full of pain, humiliation, and fear. But now that she's been rescued, her need for revenge is challenged by the urge to be part of a pack... and the unshakable connection to, Hollis, the man her wolf claims as their mate. Hollis will do whatever it takes to protect his pack, and that includes looking after Ellen, who doesn’t need or want his help. He’s determined to keep her safe, even though she’s hell-bent on revenge, even if that means sacrificing himself. And it might come to that when the big bad comes back for the one woman he can’t live without.
This was a pretty decent story. I didn’t realize it was the third book in the series, which hurt it a bit for me. Beyond that though, I really liked both Hollis and Ellen. Their story makes me want to find time and go back to read the rest of the series. I recommend.

Ellen is only helping Finn’s pack till the baby is born then she is back to have her vengeance against Cyrus who held her captive and drank her blood. When Ellen’s wolf recognizes Hollis as her mate she fights the draw but then she sees Hollis wolf and she can no longer fight it. No matter how bad Ellen wants Hollis, Cyrus is coming for her and it’s her duty to save him and the pack that has taken her in but there are technical difficulties that might prevent her from doing so. I wish I read the books leading to this book but it can be read as a standalone.

I loved Hollis and Ellen so much! Hollis is a wolf who can't seem to shift, so he just gets sick every full moon. While others enjoy bonding with their wolves and learning how to fight for their pack, he spends most of his time just trying to figure out how to find a cure for the wolf infection.

Ellen used to be one of the Others, but she was basically born into it and had no way out. Now, she doesn't have a pack and was only in Hollis' to help Jessa, the Alpha's mate, to have a baby. Since the baby is born, she wants to go back to the Others again to kill Cyrus and the ones who tortured her for years.

Ellen and Hollis are two of the most focused members of the pack. Hollis has dedicated his life to his cure, and Ellen has dedicated her life to getting revenge on those who hurt her. Ellen uses anger as a way to protect herself when she was with the Others, and Hollis just buries himself in data to protect himself from being ashamed of his wolf. Neither felt that they had time for love, and they wanted to deny the emotional connection that they had. Their friends knew but Hollis wanted to focus on his work and Ellen wanted to focus on her mission without getting connected to any members of the pack.

Hollis has been the pack member with the most fleshed out story for me so far. He tells Ellen about his home life before he became a wolf, and he even has a company outside of the pack. He seems like a person with real traits other than just being a wolf in this pack.

Ellen has the most unique story out of all of the characters. She was technically a member of the "villain's" pack, but not by choice. She can give Hollis' pack more in-depth information about how the Others work, telling them things that they would have never known about Cyrus.

Ellen and Hollis' romance was pretty whirlwind. They had chemistry from start to end of the story. I thought that they were going to get together a lot faster than they did, but it still took a good portion of the book before they accepted the bond. We got to see more of each character's backstory this way, and I actually enjoyed the wait more.

Overall, I loved this installment in the series. I can't wait for the next one! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a new adult romance novel.

I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.

I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.

This is the 3rd book of the series. And this time is the story of Hollis the scientist of the group. The one that cannot shift due to a heart condition.

This was a very emotional book, from Ellen's lost of memory to how she recovered the memories that she lost. It was so heartbreaking, how each scene was shown. Being a mother, I can feel the torment she went thru.

Hollis...let just say that he was the right man for the job. Intelligent, yet there was this Alpha vibe that she needed.

I look forward to reading the next book of the series.

An amazing story with a solid plot. Hollis and Ellen had to overcome so much to be together. Another great installment to the paranormal series.

I read the first book in this series about 15 months ago and honestly didn't recognize any of the characters from that book in this one. For me, it was as if I went into this series without reading any of the prior books and while I think it would have helped to know more of the back story it didn't hold me back from the story line.

This was a very interesting twist to the typical shifter books in that these shifters were humans first instead of being born into their world. I was a little uncertain of Ellen's role within the pack as it took some additional reading to determine who exactly she was. I do wish we had more of her back story, I felt like so much was left unsaid about what she went through. Perhaps though that's in a different book in this series as it's mentioned she was with another member of their pack at the time.

Hollis's character was a trip! He was a true scientist through and through, but it was Ellen who made him see that science can't explain everything.

I love fates and mates! It is one of my favorite tropes ever. This is a dramatic and steamy paranormal romance. I will definitely check out the other books in the series.

Thank you for the ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.

Ellen just wants revenge against the wolf that held her captive. Hollis just wants to find a cure. What will happen when sparks fly between these two? This story is fast-paced with lots of drama and life hasn’t been easy for Ellen or Hollis. The story and the characters really drew me into their paranormal world. I really liked the story and the chemistry is steamy. A good read.

Protecting The Wolf's Mate is the perfect freaking story. From beginning to end I was in love with the characters.

Hollis's pack has been keeping Ellen since she saved the Alpha's mate 6 months ago. Ellen promised to stay to help her give birth. In that time Hollis and Ellen have become friends with lots of hintings and something else. The problem, Hollis wants to cure all the werewolves of their "curse." Ellen isn't for that at all. Their bond is wary until Ellen's wolf decides Hollis is her mate. Now Ellen needs to get Hollis on board.

Hollis's life was turned outside down ten years ago when his best friend bit him and turned him into a werewolf. Now he does everything he can to try and cure the disease that infected him and his best friends. Ellen turns all his plans on their head when she enters into his life claiming he's wasting his time. It's magic and not science that gave them their gift. The two butt heads constantly, but the attraction grows with every encounter. The other issue? Ellen's hell-bent on leaving their pack once the pregnancy of her friend is over so she can kill the man who tortured her.

I loved Hollis and Ellen. Ellen is such a monumental badass. I loved her character so flipping much. She'd been through much trauma and pain and yet she was still so caring to everyone around her. I enjoyed her so freaking much. I also loved Hollis too. While he was a little pig-headed in the beginning I enjoyed his character so much.

Protecting The Wolf's Mate was absolutely amazing. I never felt like I was missing anything even coming into this series a little later. I enjoyed all the reveals that came throughout the story. Nothing felt like it came a weird time, the pacing was fabulous and I really enjoyed how original the whole story was. Nothing felt like I'd read it too much before. The romance was great, but not overdone and it didn't overshadow the characters and their relationship.

This is Book 3 in the Blood Moon Brotherhood. It was really good and a good addition the series. Ellen was once a part of Cyrus’s group of Others. She’s now helping Jessa with her pregnancy. After the baby’s born, she’s done with this pack. Or is she? She has a secret that Hollis is determined to get out of her. Things happen fast in this story and will keep your attention from page 1. I didn’t go to bed until I was finished with it. I hope there will be more books in the series because it’s such a good series. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley.

Full Disclosure: When I picked up this book, I didn't know it was the third installment to a series. I read the blurb, looked at the cover and was all in. That being said, my review reflects that.

Ellen is different. The only time she seems "normal" is when she's taking care of the Alpha's mate and children. The other times? She's bitter, condescending and extremely hard to figure out. That's to be expected since she's not really a member of the pack. In fact, she used to belong to another pack, run by a very evil Alpha who tortured as a form of entertainment. I'm pretty sure you'd be bitter too. But a lot of her bitterness also revolves around Hollis' obsession with finding a cure to the infection that's turned his pack in to what they are. Being a wolf is special, magical and something that should never be taken for granted.

Hollis is on a mission. It's been ten years since he and his pack mates have been infected, changed in to wolfs. Ten years that he's been searching for a cure, so they can return to their "normal" lives. And every time he thinks he's close, it's a bust. All of this is made even more frustrating considering his wolf has been dormant from day one. Why? He has a heart murmur and shifting could kill him. At least that's what the thought is. He's not sure because unlike everyone else, he doesn't even sense his wolf. That is until Ellen starts challenging him in ways he wasn't prepared for. And now? Everything has changed.

Since I didn't read the first books in this series, I'll admit that I was pretty lost for a while in the beginning. But I stuck with it, going with the flow and figuring things out as I read. Once understood the character building and the threats, it was a pretty smooth sail from there.

I really liked the courage Ellen has. Not only to avenge her past, but in recognizing what her wolf wants and going for it. Hollis' character is torn. Lead by science his whole life, coming to grips with the reality the infection has caused has been extremely difficult. Especially since he also didn't have a connection with his wolf. But the two of them together were wonderful. Hollis brings out the good in Ellen and Ellen brings out the truth in Hollis. And what beautiful moments they had together.

This book had to be my favorite in the Bloodmoon Brotherhood series. I mean it just ended with a bang and had me on the edge of my seat for literally the whole book. There was history lore, intrigue, mystery, loads of good/passionate love between two mates and of course loads and LOADS of action and drama that had me gasping until the very end.

To get most out of this book you’ll definitely want to read this book after you’ve read the other two books, I had initially started this one first and I was left more than confused by like the third page so had to go back and read the first two books before this one. On the bright side, literally all these books are amazing and quick reads so you won’t want to miss them anyways.

Ellen and Hollis’ dynamics had to be the best out of all the books simply for the fact that they were super opposites and it was heartwarming to see these two characters grow into loving each other, I don’t know if this is the end of this series but I can’t thank the publishers and Netgalley enough for sending me an ARC of this book that I just fell in love with immediately. I’m so gonna miss these characters so I’m hoping there’s more of the world that this wonderful author created.

Really enjoyed this story but from the book it appears to be the end of the series. It feels like it ended to quickly for me.

This paranormal werewolf romance is thrilling, exciting and a little bit edgy with a deliciously passionate enemies to lover romance that tantalizes readers from the very first page.

Ellen has one goal on her mind…vengeance but her need for revenge is being challenged by the need to be part of a pack and one wolf in particular has caught her interest. Hollis is determined to find a cure and he will do anything to protect his pack even Ellen who doesn’t want or need his help. Ellen and Hollis are strong, charismatic that easily capture the readers’ attention, drawing them into the story and ensuring that they want to know every last detail. The romance is sharp but passionate with lots of electrifying chemistry between the hero and heroine and the fact that the pack isn’t sure that Ellen can be trusted adds suspense and even more emotional turmoil that both of these characters have plenty of. Readers can’t help but connect with these two and follow them along on their journey to their happily ever after.

The plot is fast paced and flows smoothly throughout with lots of intrigue and excitement as the pack try to find a way to stop their enemy who is out to not only destroy their pack but has some evil plans in store for some of them. Twists and turns keeps readers on their toes and the wonderful characters and fascinating world ensures that readers want return to visit this pack again and again.

I loved Hollis almost as much as I fangirled over Ellen. He was a man of science. He struggled with the new ramifications his possible cure would bring for the newest members of his pack and for Ellen. Someone proud of being a wolf, she slowly changed Hollis’s black and white view of shifters and the lives they could lead. For having fought so hard to keep their distance, these two became such a devoted and loving couple. You can feel the emotion and the determination that drives them and that made this an amazing read.

Protecting the Wolf's Mate by Sasha Summers is book Three in the Blood Moon Brotherhood series. This is the story of Ellen and Hollis. I have read the previous books and I do think it helped me to enjoy this one better.
Ellen was once held prisoner in another pack but is now out and helping the Alpha of the current pack she is staying at. Still fighting the emotional part of the suffering she had and the wish for revenge does consumer her but Hollis brings new feelings forward for her. Hollis is dealing with his own issue to solve. Their attraction is burning hot but can these two work through their issues find their happy ending? I hope to read more from the author soon.

Protecting the Wolf’s Mate by Sasha Summers
Blood Moon Brotherhood #3

Ellen is with the pack to help deliver Jessa’s second baby. She is a rather stiff person and leery of most with good reason. That said, she is all there for Jessa and the children. As the heroine of the book she will eventually end up mated with Dr. Hollis Robbins although they tap dance and spar verbally against one another one another. Ellen can’t understand why Hollis is so eager to “cure” the werewolf “disease” he and his friends were “afflicted” with. Nope, Ellen, born a shifter, is happy with who and what she is in spite of the suffering she experienced when a captive of The Others. As the two spend more time together, spar verbally, tussle at times and learn more about one another their eyes are opened and common ground is found.

I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more in the series. I wonder who will star in the next book and am eager to find out!

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC – This is my honest review.
