A beautiful picture book about mothers describing their love for their young. The illustrations share stories of love between both animals and people and the illustrations are breath taking.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy from Orca Book Publishers for my unbiased opinion of the book. I loved this book!!! The graphics were bright and colorful. The story will warm your heart and soul. I plan on buying this book for all the little ones I love when it is released! Susan keep up the great picture books!

This is a children’s book tells how much a mama bear loves her cubs.

The illustrations are wonderful. I love the bright, vibrant colors. The pictures are cute and make you feel love.

The story itself, however, is a bit too old for the target audience. I don’t believe young children will understand some of the phrasing. Do not hesitate to read it to young children but expect questions about what things mean.

Fell in love with the illustrations rather than the text. I thought the story was a tad too simplistic but the illustrations were amazing.

This is a lovely, poetic book. It would be a good bedtime story. The illustrations fit the story perfectly. This is a magical book.

Beautiful story of love! A story of love through nature, through seasons and between family. I loved the illustrations. I loved reading this book with my children and they really enjoyed the nature aspect.

This was a lovely poem that uses metaphor to explain the love one has for another. It’s a lovely poem, I just wished it rhymed. It’s a small thing, but it’s what kept it from a five for this reviewer.

My Love Is for You is beautifully illustrated with unconventional metaphors and similes describing love. The imagery may be too hard for young readers/listeners to understand but the bright and colorful landscapes and animals will keep them engaged. Each sentiment fills the alluring 2-page spreads. In the end, Susan Musgrave leaves the reader with "if you can count the stars in a night clear anew, that is how my love is for you". My Love Is for You is a children's book for young children 0-2 years.

Magical illustrations and poetic story. I could see this book being quoted for a wedding. A book that is probably more for parents than for children.

This book had beautiful illustrations and a lovely sentiment about how much we love our children/grandchildren. The book compares a parent's love to the wind and to the tastes of various things using the description of strength and sweetness and to how much animals love their babies. The writing is poetic but there are times that it is stilted. The repetition of the wording make it so that the youngest child can soon join in. As a board book this would be a great book for your youngest readers and one they can use to bond with their parents, and grandparents. I read this book to my granddaughter and she loved the pictures, but did not understand the sentiment. It is a board book, but it is really better suited to 4 and 5 year olds. I recommend this to families for their home library or to give as a gift at baby showers or when a new baby is born. The publisher, Orca Book Publishers, generously provided me with a copy of this book to read. The rating, ideas and opinions are my own.

a great board book concept, the simplistic poetry allows the children to see similes and the parents to compare their love of there dearest little one. The drawing and artwork is appealing to the youngest reader, and the repetition of the wording make it so they youngest child can soon join in. As a board book this would be a great book for your youngest readers and one they can use to bond with their parents, and grandparents.

A charming sweet children's book that I can't wait to read to my grandchild. Beautiful illustrations.

I always tell my Granddaughter that I love her more than all the sand on the beach and stars in the sky. This book tells her exactly how I feel about her. Beautifully illustrated and wonderful examples of the love of a child this author tells it in such a fantastic way. This is a wonderful book to give as a gift to your little one or Grandchild.

This book has beautiful illustrations that will catch the child's eye while the parent reads this sweet book to them. I would definitely buy this for my great-grand daughter. Thank you Orca Book Publisher via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.

My Love is For you has beautiful illustrations and a lovely sentiment however the text lacks a good flow.

My Love is For You will appeal to those parents who are just so overwhelmed with love for their little ones that they tear up just thinking about it. For me, though, as much as I love my niblings, this book was just okay -- my heartstrings were not overly tugged.

I found both the verse and illustrations to be a bit uneven. At times both were overly cute/sweet. Other times, the rhythm picked up, but the images were dark. My favourite page was the one that said: "The crack-boom-bam of a rambunctious thunderstorm, that's how fierce my love is." I wish that more of the verse felt as fun in your mouth as it does when you say that sentence.

So, although I know my sister would have been teary-eyed reading this with her kids when they were very small, for me it just didn't hit the mark, and I'll give it a middle-of-the-road rating of 3 stars.

This was only ok. There are definitely better books out there that have a more poetic style like this one. Also the illustrations were just average in my opinion. I did like that it could help you child learn some new vocab words.
