Echoes of Fire is the most recent addition to the Mercury Pack series, this pack features Nick and Shaya’s pack who are aligned with the Phoenix Pack—which were the first books in this world that Suzanne Wright has written. I have been addicted to these books and the spice filled characters that are packed within these books.
In Echoes of Fire, Madisyn Drake, works with the loner shifter shelter and is a loner herself. Madisyn is a rare form of feline that many shifters are wary of because they are unpredictable and feisty. She might be in trouble though, because she helped a bear shifter female escape her evil alpha of a bear pack and they want to know her location or she is going to pay the price including those that really care about her. Bracken Slater is a member of the Mercury Pack, and is a alpha male in his own right. But Bracken is struggling emotionally and mentally and he is starting to find his pack to be suffocating him. He is grieving over the loss of his family and the trauma of being the only surivivor. His pack are being supporting and patient but too stifling for Bracken with their affection and attention.
But when Bracken and Madisyn join forces and help each other, they soon discover what a strong connection that they have to each other. Madisyn doesn’t suffer fools and she is very bold and daring and doesn’t molly coddle Bracken like his pack does and it proves to be beneficial and helps Bracken in ways that other methods never did. Bracken still lives with the horrible memories that are haunting him but he is able to overcome the trauama with realizing that Madisyn is his rock. The romance that builds between Bracken and Madisyn is fiery hot and kick ass and bound to give the readers laughs and giggles. They were such a fun pairing with some terrible pasts of their own and they are able to really understand one another in ways that even those they consider family don’t understand them. They offer the balance that the other needs so flawlessly.
Overall I found Echoes of Fire to be stimulating and kick ass and a story that packs a punch in every way that matters….Suzanne Wright has won my heart once again!! SPECTACULAR READ!

I received an ARC for this lovely story from Montlake Romance via NetGalley.
I really enjoy the Phoenix and Mercury pack romances and this one was no exception. Bracken is dealing with the aftermath of a horrible tragedy and his life seemed aimless until he realizes he has been near his true mate, Madisyn, for quite some time without knowing it. This whole not realizing it situation was handled well and wasn't overly dramatized and made sense for the personalities of the two main characters. Yay!
Madisyn is one of my favorite characters in the series so far. She is a feline shifter and freaking fierce. She is prickly and anti-social at times but is also very understanding and caring towards Bracken and she is loyal beyond anything to those she loves and the shelter where she works. Honestly the women in these series are just amazing and I would be friends with any of them.
Bracken is a great mix of pushy alpha and understanding partner - he really gets Madisyn and that is fun to see.
They make a really cool couple and I really enjoyed their story.
This book is set to be published December 11, 2018!

Madisyn is a cat shifter, not just any kind but a Pallas cat. They are small but go all crazy on whomever bothers them. She is going thru touch hunger. As a loner, she doesn't have much contact with anyone and hasn't a boyfriend, either her. Bracken is of the the Mercury Pack. They are wolf shifters. When he notices that Madisyn is exhibiting physical symptoms of touch hunger, he helps her out with it. While neither have actually hated each other, they never really paid a lot of attention to each other, either. Once they are together, both realize that they are mates. They decide to take it slow. Bracken has had a great trauma in his past that has been hard to get over. Another shifter pack wants a girl that Madisyn has helped hide. They will do anything to find her. Between these shifters causing problems and other females interfering, their courtship is on a rocky path. When attacks start on all sides, we get to see more Pallas cats and the Phoenix Pack helps out as well. I loved this story. The Mercury Pack and the Phoenix Pack have been my favorites for a while. If you liked the Phoenix Pack, you will love the Mercury Pack. I recommend both and really liked that the characters from both were in this book. I received this book from Net Galley and Montlake Publishing for a honest review and no compensation otherwise. The opinions expressed are my own.

I loved this book! Suzanne Wright can't go wrong, she is my go to author. I think her writing style and her characters are great. Her books are always fast paced, engaging and passionate. So this one was no exception.
I loved every second I spent reading this book and I just couldn't put it down. I loved Madisyn, she was crazy but I just couldn't get enough of it :)
If you are like me and love fast paced, passionate stories with great characters then please go and read this book!

I loved it! The snarky comments throughout kept me smiling. Madison is hell on wheels. What a stick of dynamite bordering on scary. Dominic and his outrageous come one are always entertaining. I fell over laughing at the scene of with Nick and Shaya's daughter talking about "jaywalking"! Add in the pranks between siblings Eli and Roni and there is never a dull moment. You get passion, despair, intrigue and betrayal in this book. Highly recommend it and the entire series.

Omg I bow down to Mrs. Wright and her incredible mind. She took Bracken and with things going on in his life completely changed him and it worked! Madisyn is a palla cat shifter and that just keeps everyone guessing. She worked helping lone shifters or those in trouble find new packs or live in the human world. She has some trouble with one of her recent placements. This book is a bit different in the past with the whole mate aspect but with all of the wit and humor you expect from a Suzanne Wright book. This might be my favorite book so far do this series!

As always Ms. Wright writes a great book on Shifters. I just wanted this book to be more out of the box. I love the characters but I just want this series to introduce something new or take a very different turn. I hope that turn will be with Cain's book. But this book was sexy and very funny. Love this series and hope there will be more.

I absolutely loved this book it was intriguing and suspenseful and a fabulous read and I recommend giving it a try

I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley and Montlake Romance. I’m a huge fan of this author and this series but I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this book as Bracken was not a favorite of mine but boy was I in for a surprise. Not only did I love him but Madisyn was amazing! No weak willed women here which is great. Their chemistry started at a low simmer but the heat was truly scorching. They also complimented themselves well with a balance of strength and sensitivity. Also you’ll see a lot of familiar faces. Definitely a must read. 5 stars

I'm a little torn on how exactly to review this...I don't want to be so heavy on the gush that I give people unreasonably high expectations, leading them to subsequently not love this as much as I did...
But alas, at the end of the day, I can only be true to my own feels.
AKA, yas, Suzanne Wright!
I've said it before, I'll say it again...
But I am 100% biased when it comes to this author.
But, what can I say?
I love her stories, her writing style, her characters.
Everything.
ALL the things.
I have literally read everything Wright has written and this series and the series from which it was spun (The Phoenix Pack series) are some of my favorite PNR series of all time.
Her Dark in You series is probably legit my favorite PNR series...
...ever.
That said, in the author notes at the end if this book, Wright mentions that she wrote this at the same time as Embers (the most recent Dark in You release) and it showed.
In the best way possible.
The whole time I was reading it, I couldn't help but think that Bracken was...edgier...darker...more intense somehow than previous male leads of the series. When I saw that she had written this hand in hand with Embers, it totally made sense...it was like Bracken had a little bit of Knox in him.
Which - being that Knox is my number one book husband - was scrumptious.
This book followed the Wright pack book formula to a certain extent...but it also didn't.
Which was awesome.
The way Bracken and Madisyn come together is completely different than any previous book...the way their "mating" comes about is completely different...
All in great ways.
Also notable, this book apparently takes place a little bit longer after the previous books than other past installments. Some stuff has happened between this book and the last that greatly affected Bracken and the landscape of the series in some way.
All of which, again, was great.
Fans of the series will love this book and I can't wait for you all to get your hands on it so we can gush together.
Or so you can throw proverbial tomatoes at me for leading you astray.
But whatver. This book rocked.
And I'm already reading it again.
And, how about that cover? *drool*

I have been waiting for this book ever since I read Wild Hunger, every other week I would just keep checking the release date (this is how much I love this series).
We were all introduced to Bracken's tragic story in Wild Hunger and ever since then I wanted to know who his mate would be and Suzanne Wright didn't disappoint---Madisyn is perfect for him (didn't see that coming at all).
Independent and Strong ,and they are definitely stronger together.Their relationship dynamics is what Bracken needed at this point in his life. Thats all I will mention at this moment , I dont want to spoil the story for anyone so enjoy reading ( and trust me you are going to enjoy it) and Suzanne Wright please keep writing awesome stories(never stop :P )

Full review to be published online in late December.
ECHOES OF FIRE is another enjoyable story in Suzanne Wright's popular "Mercury Pack" series,
which is a sister series and runs along the same timeline as her equally good "Phoenix Pack" series. In ECHOES IF FIRE, Madisyn has a secret. She suffers from touch hunger, and Bracken stumbles on her secret when he takes her home one night after an "altercation". While both have been attracted to each other they also have been annoyed and resistant to each other. However after the death of his family Backen finds her his one source of normal. When they discover they are mates, Bracken while shocked is determined to get his cat.
While Madisyn is true to her nature and reserved Bracken works to win her and prove the nay-sayers wrong. Their path is different and I liked that.
ECHOES IF FIRE is a fun read, if a little too similar in formula to the other books in the two series. Wright's fans, however, will love it.

I absolutely loved everything about this book.Suzanne wright always delivers on every aspect of her stories .The romance Suspense even humor.Bracken and Madisyn were no different They both have strong personalities and are beyond guarded So they both have to work hard to overcome that in order for their mating bond to complete.I highly recommend Echoes of Fire it has a little bit of everything and if you've read the others in the series We get to catch up with the Phoenix and Mercury pack.
“Look at me, Madisyn . Take a good long look. I’m a f*ck*ng wreck. Barelyfunctioning. How do you think I’ll handle having a mate? I’ll tell you.” He leaned forward, pressing his body against hers. “I’ll want everything from you . Actually, that’s a lie. I’ll demand it. Take it. Possess you. Own you. Be more overprotective than you can tolerate, because I’ll be totally f*cking paranoid that you’ll be taken from me."
Bracken.

4.5 Stars!
This book is the continuation of the Mercury Pack series with close ties and lots of cameo from the Phoenix Pack.. I like to read the books in order but you could pick this up as a random PNR and do ok. As part of the series, it made me so happy to see Bracken begin to heal.
I loved that Bracken and Madisyn were both a bit quirky in human and animal form. I loved that they really needed to both break down the protective walls they had constructed. These two grew and changed together and we don't often see that in the romance genre.
Loved seeing all of the pack again. Enjoyed the bit of suspense in this one. And it was really great to learn more about other shifters in this world.
Great addition to the series!

Another great addition to the Mercury Pack series, I loved this book. Bracken is feeling broken and guilty after the deaths of his family, survivors guilt is eating at him. Madisyn is a loner who struggles to let anyone in. It sounds like. Disastrous match but they compliment each other so well. Packed full of all the over possessive, protective, jealous alphaness I love, it was one of my favourite books of all the Phoenix and Mercury Pack books so far. I want more!

I did a series reread first because I just love this characters! Madisyn and Bracken are great together....I enjoyed their unconventional start, they didn’t click right away that they were mates and everything they are thrown as got them to now. There is lots of laughs as we are accustomed to with this series, action and sexy times. If you haven’t read any of this series I’d say go back to the Phoenix pack and work your way here first, you won’t be disappointed.
This was a complimentary advanced reader copy provided by the author/ publisher in exchange for a honest review via Netgalley.

It has been a while since I read a Mercury Pack book so it took a little while for me to get into this one, but once I did these character grabbed me. Madisyn is not warm and fuzzy despite what her shifter self looks like but she is a character that I think everyone can understand. She is what Bracken needs though...
Bracken is broken... but it takes him a while to realise the extent and Madisyn seems to be the only one who makes him feel even just a little bit better. He is the Pack Enforcer so a mate that really doesn't like being wrapped in cotton wool is a bit of a struggle, but at least he is a quick learner!
This was a good entry in the series, and in the wider Phoenix Pack world, and it made me want to read the next one

Echoes of Fire is another brilliant book in the Mercury Pack series, every review I write that these stories just get better and better, this one has done it again.
Here we have Bracken and Madisyn ( sorry hated this spelling) Bracken was broken by the murders of his family and has exacted terrible cold blooded revenge on all those responsible, Madisyn is a loner who puts up with no crap off anyone, no one quite knows what breeds of feline shifter she is, which causes panic and shock if anyone gets on her wrong side.
These two know each other but have never really interacted, one night when something goes down in the bar where Madisyn works Bracken comes to her aid, on touching they are both shocked to discover they are mates.
The relationship develops but not without its difficulties, you’ll be cheering them on wanting them to find peace and happiness.
Madisyn life is threatened so Bracken, the Mercury pack and Phoenix pack band together to help her.
This is such a well constructed story, although extremely violent at times but very necessary to this plot line.
A great emotional rollercoaster, keep them coming I can’t wait for the Next!
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

Another absolutely stunning story by author Suzanne Wright, once again I couldn’t put it down for the sheer fact it always gets better and better with every page. Each story is highly unique but an HEA is always guaranteed. The story follows main characters madisyn and bracken as they deal with the shock of their mate bond and the difficulties of a rival pack. The relationship was built on steamy chemistry and the development of the story kept me following with interest. I will say my one tip is that most of the females in this series are very similar in a “algorithm” type way. I 100% support all strong and independent females, but when every single one these past couple of books play on the “I don’t give a shit about anyone” attitude, I must ask for a little something different. Otherwise, i always anticipate her releases and can’t wait for more in the coming year!

Love this author and what a great addition to a phenomenal series, I love the sparks between the the H and h, their chemistry is off the charts.
