Always needing new ideas on how to keep our marriage new and exciting. Being generous towards your husband usually results in him reciprocating. Share this with your friends and encourage others marriages too!
This is a fun book to help build your relationship with your husband. I adored it enough to get a physical copy. The tips and conversations in this book are so interesting.
I enjoyed this book. All of it was compelling. A lot of is was doable. It was one of those books where you take away what is helpful and let go of what isn’t. There is plenty of great ideas to freshening your and working on your relationship.
A helpful, very encouraging book. This one is just full of ways to help a wife learn new ways to bless her husband. And of course, as always, when you bless others, you are the one that receives the most blessings, so give it a try!
Definitely worth reading!
New author for me but pleasantly surprised. Thank you for the approval and look forward to a book relationship with other reads in the future,
This book actually was fun to read! My husband and I will be celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary on April 8, 2019. We have 3 adult children and are empty nesters although we do have my MIL living with us.
This book has been very convicting and challenging… but in good ways. I am having fun with the challenges… if he reads this I guess he will find out what spurred some of it on. I love how this book was written to be a daily read. That it encourages you to pray for your husband daily, meditate on God’s Word, Dwell on a memory, Breathe and reflect.
I think it would make a great resource to give as a gift to a friend who needs a little nudge to Bless Her Husband!
*I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley on behalf of the Publisher and was under no obligation to post a favorable review.
I really enjoyed this book and going through the challenge. It was very doable and it was a good way to add freshness I my marriage.
I don't usually read many nonfiction books. I read to relax and I find fiction more relaxing than nonfiction. But when I saw Bless Your Husband by Angela Mills, I knew I wanted to read this nonfiction book. I absolutely love my husband and am always trying to find more ways to show him. I thought with a title like this book has, it is sure to have good advice! And I was right; it did, plus so much more. The book is written almost like a devotional with verses to memorize, projects to do, and many various ways to show your love and bless your husband. Mrs. Mills gives so many practical (and economical for those on a budget) ideas that you can do or say to your husband to make him feel like he's the most special person in your life, which he should be! :) But, not only will you be blessing your husband, if you incorporate her ideas into your life, you will also be blessing yourself. Because how can your marriage and your relationship with God not grow stronger when you are following biblical advice on loving your husband? I would highly recommend this book to any wife who is looking for practical, biblical ways to bless her husband while strengthening her marriage and her relationship with God.
Good suggestions for any stage of marriage. Interesting reading from a good author. These suggestions will help keep your marriage fresh and centered on each other rather than self. This book includes Bible verses and prayers to help your marriage have a true Biblical emphasis.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
This is such an amazing book. I was blessed in so many ways. It was thrilling to be able to help my husband, and truly wonderful to see myself put aside my own desires for my husbands sake. The tips were practical and Biblical. I did not tell my husband I was reading this boom at first and he would come to me and say I really liked that you sat and watched the game with me. (Without looking at anything else- Something I have never done..) I couldn’t recommend this book enough to any wife. It will challenge you and bless you personally as well as your husband.
Bless Your Husband
By Angela Mills
To be fair I did not get to finish this book prior to giving my review and judgement upon it. I will say however that what I have read has been great. I have read the days devotionals myself but at times I shared them with my husband as a discussion opener. I also shared different parts with my two sons (3yrs and 7yrs) in order to discuss how to show love to others. I think that the daily devotionals are to the point and easy to translate into your day-to-day routine. Each week provides a memory verse to work on, a weekly goal, personal challenges to complete, a prayer prompt, thoughts for meditation, a thought to reflect on, something to relate with, and reflection. It sounds like a lot as I write this out but it is actually manageable and you go through it faster then you think (don’t rush though). The daily devotions were short enough to read and digest easily, while the challenges presented cause you to ponder on them throughout your day and week. I have really enjoyed this devotional as it has led me to some great reflection time personally and for my marriage.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. Other books I've read with similar promises have been chocked full of cheesy ideas or so complimentarian they are hard to handle. Angela's book was a present surprise. Her challenges are doable and surprisingly realistic. She did a great job of painting an honest picture of marriage. There were some ideas I didnt necessarily agree with, but that was to be expected. I felt like it was a book I could glean from and put into practice.
Practical advice from the Scriptures
My rating is 4.5 stars
Bless Your Husband is written as a multi-week challenge, requiring just a few minutes reading a day and a lifetime of change. My plan was to read through once, and then if the suggestions were useful, to go back from the beginning and actually go through the challenge day by day. So my review won’t talk about how this book changed my marriage for the simple reason that I haven’t implemented a single thing I read.
I liked the way the book was arranged. Being set up to only take a few minutes a day to figure out what can be done for the day is perfect for women with full schedules. Which is pretty much all of us, right? While the time required to read through daily is easy, the thoughts behind them are not. They are challenging. The Biblical principles are solid and the message is important. Don’t pick this up because you want to learn how to manipulate your husband. Or God. Or put on an act. Unless you approach it with a goal of changing your heart and your heart alone, you will have missed the point!
Not all of the recommendations will apply to every wife, nor could they. Some suggestions are specifically geared toward a stay-at-home wife, which I’m not. But there are plenty of other options that would work for me and my circumstances.
Am I glad I got this book? Yes. Will I actually go through the challenges? I hope to. Do I recommend it for other wives? Absolutely. May the Lord use this to transform my heart and my marriage and may He do the same for you.

I was given a copy of this book for free. I was not required to give a favorable review nor was any money received for this review. All comments and opinions are my own.
Remember those first few months of marriage when you wanted to do everything you could to make your man happy? You made his favorite dinner, wore the clothes he liked best, and said nice things to him every day. I know that real life happens. We have kids. Sometimes we get sick or tired. We just get used to each other, and love and marriage just aren’t as magical as they were in those early days.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. In her first book, Bless Your Husband, Angela Mills gives ladies a plan for restoring some of the giddy love that filled those first days of marriage. This isn’t a plan to make your husband love you more, treat you better or recognize what a wonderful wife you are. It’s a way to do just exactly what the title says, and bless your husband.
The pages are filled with ideas to do a little (or sometimes big) thing for your man. But rather than change his attitude or behavior, these challenges will more than likely change yours. While we as wives are called to serve, our human flesh fights against that. Many times we’d rather have our husband’s serve us. But this challenge is all about him.
In addition to the challenges, there are a lot of thought-provoking questions to help you understand where your strengths and weaknesses are in your marriage. It also includes assessment to help you see if you’re too comfortable around your husband, and maybe need to change your ways a little. There are also specific prayers to pray for your husband. This alone can change your view of him, and the responsibilities he carries for your family.
I love this book, and I highly recommend it for people in all stages of married life. It can work for the newlywed, as well as someone who has been married for many years. It can also help you if your marriage has hit a rough patch, if you’re determined to get back on track. I do recommend the print version, because there are journaling prompts, and questions you can answer right in the book.
Good food for thought especially about those small, daily interactions that if not addressed can add up to bigger frustrations and arguments. I'm also reminded that I don't always have a servants heart or attitude but I'm working on it.
I am not married but I requested this book so I could be proactive and learn ways to be a good wife. I thought this book was excellent! It gave practical real life ways I can bless my future husband. And even more importantly it gave insight into how a man's brain works and what a husband needs from his wife in order to feel loved and have a successful marriage. I enjoyed this book and will be keeping it as a reference!
My thoughts:
Bless Your Husband is just as up-to-date for twenty-first century wives as the colors on the book cover. Angela Mills gives lots of creative inspiration for ways that we as wives can help our husbands feel loved, supported, and respected—in short, blessed!
There are tons of idea for reflection, prayer, verses to meditate upon, encouragement, and hands on activities that will improve your relationship and how well your life runs together. It's not just another marriage book that hammers submission etc. It's a way of practically serving, resurrecting your love if it's needs help, and focusing on the good. It explains submission in a way that makes sense for the modern couple, but it doesn't discard the Biblical meaning.
This book comes in paperback and in e-book form. Definitely invest in the paperback. The e-book format, with the fill-in-the blanks, is simply not very user friendly. You could get a notebook to write in, but I found myself just skipping over things instead. Consequently, I didn't finish the entire book. I can tell she's on to something here though.

This book is filled with wonderful ideas on how to bless your husband, a lot of them things I never thought of before! I love how the challenges are set up.
This book is written so beautifully and has some great advise. I love this book and would recommend this author and her books.
This is a great book for all couples. Newly married to marriage that’s been in place for many years. This gives great insight as to things to respark what is lost. I highly reccomend this book to all women wanting to try to bring back that spark.
