Maddie Cooper is enjoying her time working at finding artifacts for the Native American tribe she is helping in making a museum. Finding another aged piece and putting it in her storage locker males her feel a sense of accomplishment. This all fails when she thinks she sees a person from her past an ex who said he would call her. Never happened. Now when she finds out that is really is Scott Fisher she is not happy but wants to move on. Scott who still works for the DEA thought he would never see Maddie again. The assignment that took him away and ended up putting him further in a deep undercover would have been okay but it came away with nothing but only him losing. Her and someone else. It is that person who has made him go after not Maddie but Victor Mole, a drug cartel. It has also brought out a dark side of him that she had never seen. When the storage locker of artifacts, and her digging site both a broken into he now must think that someone is after her as well. What he does not know is that she is working at finding who did that crime as well. This makes for an exciting last half of the book and full of action. A very good story.
I enjoyed Love Uncovered. The story combines romance and suspense and doesn’t have a dull moment. The story is well-written and the characters are enjoyable.
This is the second book in this series by this author. Amazing well written characters with very hot and intense chemistry between them. This is a funny and sexy romance read. This author has a fab way of leaving you wanting more. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended read
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book
I'm on the fence about this book. There were parts of the book I enjoyed and parts where the characters really annoyed me. I liked that Maddie didn't cower when faced with the villain if the story but there were times her impulsiveness and pushiness with Scott annoyed me. I liked how Scott was protective of Maddie, but his hot and cold demeanor with Maddie got frustrating. The suspense part of the story was enjoyable and the author writes well, it was just unfortunate that I sometimes couldn't stand the characters. I am going to look into the first book though. I'm hoping I'll connect with those characters more because, as I said previously, the author writes well so I'm willing to give her books another chance.
