Wildflower Park Part Two was a fab part two of the series. I was hooked straight back in and am looking forward to reading on to find out if Anna will get her happy ever after. Another great book by Bella.
Wildflower Park: A Budding Romance is the 2nd book in the Wildflower Park series. In Book 1 we were introduced to the main characters Anna and Sophie, and the mysterious Hudson. They went on a trip for a team building event. During a lighthearted game (organized by the team) Anna suddenly stormed out of the room in tears when someone asked her a question. Wildflower Park—Part Two follows the events that took place afterwards.
I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed Part 1. In Part 2, Anna and Hudson seem to be getting along alright—is romance budding between these two? And Liam, is he being honest about his feelings towards Anna or does he have an agenda? We finally meet Anna's mystery texter—they've even gone on a date. I sympathized with Sophie—she is definitely at the end of her rope. Will her husband, Dave finally step up? And Sophie's surprise announcement—will she change her mind? Looking forward to Part 3! I definitely recommend.
Thank you to Bella Osborne, Avon Books UK and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Anna and Hudson are getting on well but Liam's appearance as a consultant on the restructure is making Anna question her feelings. She meets up with the mysterious texter Connor, although he is very nice and sweet there's no initial spark between them. Will something grow or should she call it a day?
Anna has also struck up an unlikely friendship with Bert, the elderly gentleman who previously owned her rescue cat Maurice. His blunt observations on Anna's life are just what she needs to help her see things clearly.
Sophie is getting more and more frustrated with her life and her husband Dave, will she do something about it?
Another 5 star for part two of this series. Having just read part one I couldn't wait to get into part two.
This concentrates more on the home life rather that work lives of Sophie and Anna, particularly Sophie and her relationship with her husband and children.
Again I was captivated and enjoyed the characters and scenarios wondering what would happen next.
We got to witness a bit more of Wildflower Park which hadn't been mentioned much in part one.
Looking forward to reading part three.
This is such a fun story...I love Bella's books!!!
My review has been blogged & Tweeted as usual :c)
Thank you :c)
While some of the questions Build Me Up, Buttercup left me with were answered in the second part of this series, there's still a lot that we don't know anything about. I do appreciate the way that the author really takes the time to let all of the events take place slowly. Sure, there's the occasional jumping over a couple of days, but in general, you really get to see the relationships between, for example, Anna and her mystery texter, develop.
Another thing that struck me - and that I really appreciated - is the way Osborne doesn't hide the smaller sides of life, both as you're single - in Anna's case - or as a married woman - in Sophie's case. How do you deal with that question of "is this all there is"? How do you handle life not turning out the way you thought it would? And how do you face life changing (or not changing) when it's not what you want.
Somehow, Osborne really manages to stay realistic and detailed, but never ventures into the "redundant" or the boring. It makes for a very pleasant read, perfect for a lazy afternoon!
Rating: 3.5/5
I gave Wildflower Park (Part One) a five star review and part two, A Budding Romance was just as good. We are back with Anna, Sophie and Hudson. This time we have missing children, a theme party and a date. This book is a great way to spend an hour or so losing yourself in Wildflower Park and I look forward to part three.
Thank you to NetGalley, Avon Books UK and the author for the chance to review.
After being lucky enough to read and review the first part of ‘Wildflower Park’ I was overly excited to be approved to read part two, especially as the first part left a lot of unanswered questions. I absolutely love the cover of part two, the combination of colours used are just beautiful.
As you read on in ‘Wildflower Park’ Bella gives you more of an insight into Anna’s thoughts and feelings which gives you more of an understanding of her as a person. She seems more lost than ever when her ex fiancé returns to her life in a professional capacity, she clearly feels she has to ward off Liam as much as possible.
You also get way more of an insight into Sophie’s life and the struggles she is facing in her personal life especially in her marriage. I feel very frustrated with Dave and just want him to give more support to Sophie. Will she do what is right for herself and her children??
Even in this part of the book, there are so many twists and turns with each character. Anna finally finds out a little more about her mystery texter (How will this work out I wonder?) Anna certainly has some difficult decisions to make in her life. Bella makes each and every one of her characters realistic and reliable, it’s like I know Anna and Sophie myself.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed reading part two of ‘Wildflower Park’ and it ended on yet another cliffhanger so I am off to read part three (How exciting!!) I give ‘Wildflower Park’ part two 5*/5* 😊
This review is for the first 3 parts of this series....which could easily have made one novel. That is basically my only complaint for this series; Some laugh-out-loud humour is provided by the 2 main characters, Anna & Sophie, as well as some very heart-warming moments. Being young and single is not all it's cracked up to be, but marriage is not always a happy ever after either.
Part 2 of a 4 part series. Anna and Sophie continue with their man issues. I'm enjoying this a lot, but do not see the need to have it in different parts. Each one continues where the other leaves off, so why not just have them all together? Still enjoying them though, and highly recommend.
A fantastic second edition to the story which was left on a cliff hanger last time. Looking forward to part three! Love Bella’s books
How exciting to be back for Part 2 of the Wildflower Park series. I would recommend reading this series in order, as each part is a short novella read, which continues on from the previous part. The first part of the series was left on a cliff-hanger and this book started straight away from that, which was a great way to satisfy the curiosity that had been building since I’d read Part 1!
It was great to welcome back Anna and Sophie and as we moved through this next instalment it was a treat to find out more and more about them! Whilst, in the first part, Anna was my favourite character, this time round I absolutely loved Sophie! The pregnancy hormones are obviously taking over and triggering every set of emotions known to man! I have to admit I do feel sorry for her husband even though he’s probably the biggest waste of space around the home, and I really hope that the storyline for her doesn’t lead to what it looks like it might! I also still found it hilariously funny how Sophie swaps swear words for child-friendly ones….even when there are no children around!
As the storyline reaches half way point by the end of this book, I’m still desperate to know more!! What will happen with Anna’s mystery texter, will Liam finally take the hint and how does Hudson the handsome American fit into Anna’s and Sophie’s story? Oh, and of course I couldn’t not mention Maurice the cat, who I would definitely have come live with me to keep my two company! Unfortunately, I yet again have to wait until Part 3 to move the story along a bit more, but that’s fine by me….good things come to those who wait!!
A heart-warming romance with so many funny moments it had me chuckling my way through the book! Fantastic! Part 3, here I come!!
Here we go again: a very entertaining continuation of the story and I am looking forward to the next part. The characters are all very human, and some of the scenarios very funny. Naturally, this episode ended on a cliffhanger too. A very good way of grabbing a reader’s attention.
I enjoyed the book, but didn't love it as much as Part One in the Wildflower Park Series. Anna and Sophie are still there usually selves and we get to know more about Hudson and Anna's mysterious texter. Maurice, the giant kitty and fluffy scene-stealer, makes numerous appearances.
The story picks up where the last book left off with Anna and her coworkers at a team building event. There's an Amazon themed party at Hudson's, Anna decides to meet the man behind the texts, Anna is hiding something tragic that happened during her time at college and Sophie's unhappy marriage becomes a center point in the story. I would say the whole book is about how unhappy Sophie is with her husband Dave and how much he doesn't help at home. I will say Dave seemed pretty clueless about helping his wife and taking care of his children. I couldn't believe what Dave decided to surprise Sophie with for her birthday.
I enjoyed the characters , story and writing style. The whole fairy conversation was hilarious. I also couldn't believe how they found Sophie at Hudson's party. She definitely must be tired. After Anna babysits Sophie's children, I'm not sure she will ever have children. I keep hoping a romance will spark up between Anna and Hudson, a real one. I love reading about Anna and Sophie. The books are a very quick read and always end on a cliff hanger. I definitely recommend the book and can't wait to read Part 3!!
Thanks to NetGalley, Avon Books UK and the author, Bella Osborne, for a free electronic ARC of this novel.
I am enjoying this book - part 2 took a while for me to get in to as I remembered what had happened in book 1. Enjoyable and leaves you wanting to start the next part straightaway to see what happens.
