The reason why I requested to review this book was because of the main male character is a professional hockey player. I am already reading two other series that involve hockey. I figured I would add a third series.

As a hopeless romantic, I love Christian and Serena's Story. However, as a hockey fan, I expected there to be more hockey action.

Ice Hot is a delightful saucy hockey sports romance! It is Christian and Serena’s story. Christian is the sexy Hot Alpha Captain of the Nighthawks hockey team and Serena is the sassy, outspoken, delightful owner of her own clothing line. It is a great romance, it has all the feels. I would recommend this book and look forward to more books by this author.

Christian and Serna were the perfect couple to launch this new series. I am SO invested in this team because of how much I loved them! Can’t wait for more!

This just got too emotive for me. Like the beginning of Twilight Saga #2 -- lots going on in the head drama and dialogue -- but not nearly written as well and it ultimately didn't go anywhere but the inevitable.

I love a good dual POV story and I don't mind some heat in my romance. But, it ultimately was so-so.

For a hockey romance, the sport definitely was just background noise and didn't factor in to much of the story. There are other superior series that really integrate hockey with romance. perhaps as a Book 1, this one's just trying to get warmed up. 1.5 stars.

I loved this book. I could not stop reading it. The chemestry between Serena and Christian almost set my e-reader on fire. I loved the fact that she is not a thin, "perfect" figured woman and he loves all of her curves. This book was hot, but it also has a wonderful message to all the non-model figured women out there. Body shaming is not acceptable and is a form of bullying no matter what society says. Wonderful book and well worth reading.

What a terrific storyline and characters. I love when authors create life like characters that readers can relate with and that is exactly how I felt with Serena. She was intriguing and bold and went after what she wanted despite all the opposition. Her and a Christian were hot and simply perfect together. I read this story in one sitting and absolutely loved it. Highly recommended read.

Good, but not great. I do like that the female lead wasn't your typical size 2 model type, and she had a personality. But all the drama seemed to come too late and got wrapped up too fast.

This was a pretty good book! Serena and Christian had so much chemistry that it was off the charts. Even though Serena, was very insecure because of her size, she was an accomplished woman. Very romantic and as a New Yorker, The NYC backdrop is a big plus. I voluntarily read this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

First book in a brand new series.
I enjoyed Chris and Serena's story.
It's a bit of a different sports romance. In a good way. Thanks for the Arc netgalley and publisher.

Ice Hot is an interesting hockey romance. Instead of the typical characters we are presented with a fierce, full figured woman and an honest, tenderhearted team captain. I enjoyed the dynamic of the main characters and would love to read more if this became a series.

Ice Hot is the first in the new Nighthawk's series by Tracy Goodwin. I really enjoyed Chris and Serena's story and am looking forward to more of this series.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

Christian’s the New York Nighthawks god. He lives and breathes the team and all it represents, bringing the team together to make a run for the Stanley Cup is one of the main things on his mind. That is, until he sees Serena… Cute and curvy with a body that doesn’t stop, she knows her mind and a one-night stand with the sexy Christian is not going to happen, she’s not the one night stand type and he’s more of the supermodel type anyways.
This book is so well written that it keeps you turning pages until the very end. Great character development and the storyline just flows. I devoured this book in one sitting, not wanting to leave the world that Ms. Goodwin has created in which hockey stars are the heroes and smart, sexy women are the heroines. There are so many wonderful characters in this book, I can’t wait to get to know more about them and the team in book 2.

Christian and Serena seem to have the easiest start to their relationship. Even when her parents are against it, it just seems to draw them closer. Too bad Christian has to act like a fool and try to fix everything by himself. Lucky for him Serena is a strong, smart woman.

The author needed just a bit more research on hockey players but otherwise it was a good telling of a romance between two unlikely people.

I thought it was very romantic between Chris and Serena as they held off becoming intimate in exchange of getting to know each other first. It seemed very sweet of Chris and fit with his character. He didn't date or have relationships but their chemistry seemed real (to us too).

I feel like the book hyped family atmosphere in Nighthawk hockey organization but their star player was left hanging. Not great feeling in the start of a series. Perhaps author could see it addressed some how posthumously in next book. Thanks.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy, erotic romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

WOW, just wow. I loved this book so much. I picked it up because I love a good hockey romance but this book had so much more. Christian is a gorgeous hockey god with a need to prove himself and a shaky past. I loved the camaraderie with the team. Christian's private hockey arena, and I would love to see more books from Nick or Thor.

Serena is sassy, gorgeous, and unapologetically genuine. She's a larger girl but she's happy in her curves and tries to love herself despite a history of body shaming. I think the author delicately wove in this subplot in a way that made the story more genuine and it made me love Serena even more.

With the help of a chance encounter and a blue slushie, Christian and Serena fall hard and fast for each other. He doesnt care that shes a bigger girl, in fact he loves her curves. The sensuality and heat level were off the charts. Every single part of this book felt genuine and I didn't want it to end.

Ice Hot is a heart pounding, sensual romance that will hook you from page one, pull you into the lives of these flawed but passionate lovers, and make you want to stay there forever.

I’m a huge hockey fan so when I see a hockey story of course I’m going to request it, but it irks me that there’s very little hockey in them or the author starts calling the rink or arena an stadium when it’s not!!! Football and soccer are played in stadiums not hockey!

"Christian is sexy as hell, rock hard, and kisses like no one I've ever known. I swear he is temptation incarnate. And I am tempted. Very, very tempted."

Yeah, #CoverLust strikes again. This beauty caught my attention and I decided to give a new-to-me author a try and I'm so thrilled to be Tracy Goodwin's new #FanGirl. I loved this story and will commence #Stalking.

Christian, aka Chris to his friends, is a very well known #HockeyHunk. He has a reputation as a manwhore and is photographed with tons of beautiful women, many of them models. But how much of that media hype is true? The fact that he doesn't deny or confirm the gossip makes you wonder what he's been up to, right? But all he cares about is hockey and his team. His job is to take the New York Nighthawks all the way and he takes his team captain responsibilities very seriously.

Chris doesn't have time for relationships and he never knows if a woman is really interested in him, or his celebrity and bank account. But when he runs into her, literally, it's obvious she has no clue who he is. That makes her irresistible, though he didn't think fast enough to get her number. He can't stop thinking about her and kicking his own ass for not learning more about her when he had the chance.

Serena is badass. I developed a girl crush on her immediately and couldn't wait for their explosive chemistry to...explode. She's been man-free for a long time. She's not usually tempted by a pretty face, but "His winks are sexy as hell, and I wonder if it is a habit. One he doesn't even notice. If so, it's a shame, because a wink from him is like finding a rare unicorn." She doesn't plan to kiss him, but once she does, her hockey god repellent stops working and a one-night-stand is back on the table.

Let me tell you, Ice Hot is very #HOT! I got so caught up in the story that I was ready to throw my Kindle more than once and I had to wipe the screen a time or two too. It got steamy! I highly recommend this book and I can't wait to get my grabby hands on the next installment in the series. The line forms here...

I love sports romance. I love hockey. I thought I was gonna love this book more than I did. I had problems with how weird the characters were. They were awkward.

This is the first book I have read by Tracy Goodwin. I really wanted to love it but I just didn't. The book follows two characters, Serena, an overweight girl and Christian, a professional NHL player. The two hook up and a relationship ensues. There is attraction on both sides and their chemistry is felt by the reader. The big problem I had with the book was that this girl had major self esteem issues and it was a theme that we are reminded of ad nauseam. Christian has issues from a bad childhood that weren't explored nearly enough. Both of the characters are broken in some way. I think Christian was meant to be an alpha male but ended up seeming like a love sick puppy. Another issue was that there was an antagonist, Mike, who cause issues for Serena and Christian, whose downfall never really played out. I was left wondering what really happened to him.
The book was slow in some places and too fast in others. The end of the book was written better than the beginning. The writing and grammar were polished and I was impressed as it was an ARC. I would not discount this author and will keep her on my radar for future books.
