This was a very good thriller. Kept me engaged in. I cannot wait to finish it. I finished it in one sitting. Looking forward to reading more books. From this author in the future.
This book was a quick easy read, but I really enjoyed this story and would love to read more from this author.
Such a great book. Makes for a wonderful read. I can not wait to read more from this author. I love books like this.
Keep her close is a good thriller with plenty of twists to keep you reading. I wouldn't suggest it is anything brand new, but if you're looking for a solid read this will absolutely keep you hooked.
Great book. Really enjoyed it.
Very interesting, suspenseful, a real page turner.
Although this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a stand alone.
thank you for the opportunity to read this book and I really enjoyed it. very tense and well written. fully recommended. definitely look out for more of this author
Good unusual plot that kept you turning the pages. Read over two evenings this is a thriller and a look at relationships, nurture over nature and those seeking to improve their lives no matter the cost to others
I really liked the idea of Keep her close and I thought I would love it. Unfortunately it felt like I was going round and round in circles and eventually gave up on it. Just not for me.
This was the first novel by Erik Therme I've read, and not the last. This was well-written, gripping from the beginning, and I just couldn't wait to see what happened to Ally!
Recommended.
This is a good modern thriller. It has an enjoyable storyline which I enjoyed and found quite interesting.
Wow, what a great first book to read by Erik Therme. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to pick up a book of his. This definitely was on my to be read list for way too long. I can’t wait to read another book by him.
This book is about a young woman who is seeking out the truth about her past. Ally was found wandering around many years early and was adopted into a very loving home. Then one day she receives a letter about the family she never knew. Of course she wanted to know more but knowing more leads to trouble.
Where do I start about this book. First, I want to say what a great, fast, easy read it was. There was never a dull moment in the book. Every chapter was exciting and filled with so many twists and turns leaving the reader wanting more and more. I could hardly put it down. It also helped that the characters all were so likable and meshed so well with the story line. I especially liked Ally innocence. She was way too trusting which lead her into a very dangerous situation. But by the end she started being tougher and that got her out of the mess that she had created. The story line was awesome too. Who doesn’t like a story about finding out where you came from no matter the cost.
Between the plot, characters and all the twists in this book it made it an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
New author for me but pleasantly surprised. Thank you for the approval and look forward to a book relationship with other reads in the future,

📚📖📒My Review📒📚📖
Keep Her Close is a gripping, suspenseful page-turner . Each chapter was short and fast paced. There was alot of plot twists that left you saying omg i didn't see that coming.I was hooked on the story from the beginning and it kept my attention until the very last page. I found the characters to be interesting and well drawn.Suspense was built up nicely and the end was a surprise. I Really enjoyed this book . My first read by this author, but will not be the last.
I read this book in just a couple of hours, which is a sign of how gripping I found it. Plenty of twists and action. My one gripe was the character of Ally. I found her quite gullible and naive but without that, the plot wouldn't have existed. A very good read and I'll definitely look out for more from the author!
This book’s synopsis I found to be very intriguing. A young girl found abandoned, and all alone; she is cold, underdressed, and appears to have been just left standing there. Why would she be there all alone? This alone had me hooked and wanting to read the book to find out what was going on.
Flash forward 15 years, and she is living with the people who found her. Now a teenager, Ally receives a mysterious letter from someone claiming to be her ailing father, saying he doesn’t have much time left in the world and wants to meet her. Without telling her parents, Ally decides to leave and meet this man. But is he truly her father? Is she safe, or is something dark and sinister going on?
Her father Dan, the man who raised her, is worried about where she is gone and decides to go search for her. He is quite hot tempered and angry, and has frequent outbursts. I mean he is searching for his daughter who he loves very much and I can’t blame him for being upset. I did find his character to be overly likable though, and he was quite impulsive, as he often made decisions without logically thinking them through and thinking of the consequences that could follow. I’ll give him credit though – he was determined to do whatever it took to find his daughter and make sure she was ok.
This book takes you on a wild journey as we follow one mans desperate attempts to locate his daughter.
I had read Mr. Therme’s earlier novel, Mortom, a while ago (see https://drbethnolan.com/2015/05/24/quick-review-mortom-by-erik-therme/
and I enjoyed it, so I was happy to read his next novel (and I’m currently reading his third!). I was wary that this story may be disturbing or overly scary – I generally can’t read books where bad things happen to children or if they are gruesome, but Mr. Therme correctly assured me that it was not R rated. This was a quick read for me (as I wanted to see what would happen!) and I recommend it for those who like a quick, suspenseful read!
Thank you for my review e-copy!
Keep Her Close by Erik Therme has everything you need in a great thriller: twists, intriguing story line, and more. However, I think maybe there were too many twists. Although this is a work of fiction, many parts of the story were too far-fetched and unbelievable. I found myself thinking, "There is no way that would happen" many times while I was reading. This proved to be distracting and kept me from fully enjoying the story. I DNF'd this one.

4 stars.
While this wasn't an intense thriller with a huge powerful ending, it was still a decent read and I really rather enjoyed it. There was enough going on to keep it interesting and it kept being so right to the last page. The introduction to the story which told of how Ally came into her adoptive parents lives was very well written and was a great way to begin. I would definitely recommend this if you are wanting a light thriller with some intense moments.
I received a digital arc of #KeepHerClose from #NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was the first book I have read by this author but I would be interested in reading more by him in the future. From the very first page I was hooked and found myself unable to put it down. I read it all in one sitting. For me this was a real page turner and with the end of each chapter I was compelled to keep reading and find out how the story progressed. It felt like almost every chapter left me with questions!
My only slight annoyance with the book was with how gullible Ally was. I found myself wondering would she really have made some of the decisions she made? Part of me thinks it's too far fetched to believe she could be so stupid and gullible but then I suppose knowing her background and how child-like she still is as a result, it is plausible.
Overall I was very impressed with this book and will look out for this author again.

Holly and Dan find a young girl in a parking garage. Next to her is a box that reads "free to good home". After searching and never finding her family they adopt her and now its 15 years later. Ally is now out on her own and her whole life she has wanted to know about her real family. When a letter comes claiming to be from her real father she goes to meet him and goes missing. Now Holly and Dan are on the search for their daughter and Ally is in a race for her life.
This book is definitely a grabber. From page one I was hooked. It was action packed and fast paced. It was full of intrigue and mystery. It definitely kept me guessing. From one twist to the next the plot thickens and the only thought I had was, what??? The characters were easy to love and hate. This was the best thriller I have read in a while.
