If you like Jackie Collins, you'll love The Sisters. Highly recommend.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author. All opinions are my own.
Escapist fiction! The de Sandoval triplets Violetta, Grace, and Carlotta have too much money and too many secrets. They come together when their mother Birdie is injured and their father Leon has disappeared. Set up for drama for sure and there's plenty of it here. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This is wonderful popcorn stuff that won't necessarily stay with you but will keep you entertained.
Light hearted and fun read! You want to keep reading because the story pulls you in, and you want the best for the sisters :).
This one had everything! Spoiled rotten and filthy rich, the de Santoval triplets are a handful.
Grace is interested in nothing or no one except art. Violetta has just signed up for a reality show based on her love of partying and making the papers. Carlotta just wants to work with her horses and she'll do anything to get what she wants.
When they receive a call saying their mother is in a coma and their father is on the lam with millions, their lives are turned inside out. All of them have dirty little secrets as well as some tragic ones.
We watch them go from very unlikable girls to strong adult women who have to learn to run their mother's company, and in doing so they discover who they really are and what they really want.
I really loved this one. It had everything. Fashion, Art, Horses and women who take their destiny into their own hands, sleazy businessmen and cheating husbands as well as a man claiming to be their brother.
I loved their mother Birdie most of all. And I'm still not sure she didn't know what was going on. Well Done!

There was so much I really enjoyed in this fun rollick.
- oodles of drama
- family conflict, and not just any old family conflict there’s sister conflict, and not just any old sister conflict , there’s triplet conflict
- character growth (and it was needed as they seemed awful at first glance, but I grew attached to them as I heard their backstory and saw their vulnerabilities)
- reading about a crazy rich lifestyle (perfect for a few hours escapism). I love reading about a feuding family, but it’s so much better when it’s daggers at dawn in designer dresses
- salty language and a few raunchy scenes
- an emotionally satisfying journey watching the girls grab opportunities to be the women they were meant to be
I received The Sisters as an ARC from NetGalley. The Sisters tells the story of triplets - Grace, Carlotta, & Violetta - who are brought back together when their mother, Birdie, ends up in a coma after an accident. The triplets have not been close in years and the accident makes them realize how much they have missed & need their sisterly bond. I enjoyed reading how the sisters went from being shallow to having depth as a person. I recommend this book if you enjoy chick lit.
This novel had so many twists and turns that made for a quick read! This book follows the de Santoval triplets and how a traumatic experience brought them all together. The novel is told from multiple point of views and they all tie together nicely. If you start out reading and aren't sold like I was, stick it out because it really picks up and sucks you in once you get to know the triplets.
This is definitely chic lit, it has drama, fashion, love stories, socialites and so much more! I look forward to reading more by Kate Forster.
This is the second book I've read by Kate Forster and I loved the first one so was really looking forward to this one, and I wasn't disappointed, it was a roller coaster of a ride!
I must admit at the beginning I was a bit worried that I wasn't going to like it because the three triplet sisters were spoilt entitled brats, who I didn't like, and they all definitely had issues with their (horrible) father. But then their Mother, Birdie, had an accident, was in a coma, and their Father went missing with lots of money. That's when it really started to get interesting as the sisters had to decide to either sell up the company that their Mother had actually started, even though their Father took over, or work together to save it. They decided to try and save it and started to get closer again and actually believe in themselves and their true strengths after being put down by their Father since they were young.
There was lots of intrigue and power struggles going on, with family dynamics not quite what you originally thought, although I did wonder about a few of them!
One of those 'just another page' books to see where it all leads in the end - loved it!
It was the title and plot (and look at that fabulous cover!) that got me requesting this ARC. Fashion, a mention of Spain and horses and I was into this book immediately. The de Santoval Triplets Violeta Carlota and Grace are thrown together again when their mother Birdie (good tie-in with the business's name, pájaro, which means "bird" in Spanish) ends up in a coma after an accident.
What exactly happened to lead to this, and who is guilty, there's where the mystery lies. The family is moneyed and in the fashion industry.
This is my first ever title by Kate Forster and I loved the detail with which she writes and the depth of the family relationships and that of the 3 sisters. The family are well known in LA and scandals, sex and family loyalties as well as disagreements abound.
Each character is flawlessly fleshed out and is very individual in their own right.
Carlota seems the most serious although she is driven to work at improving the business and she loves to shop. I too am a total shopaholic and identified with her. I also am a horse lover. Violeta seems the most "rebellious" of the sisters as she likes a sex/ social life. Grace seemed to stand out the least but she has a secret. It's interesting to see how the sisters got on after leading their respective lives. And, where is their missing father Leon? Does he have anything to do with what happened to Birdie?
Such a suspenseful, engrossing family drama. This is BRILLIANT and I'll definitely be searching for more books by Kate Forster. The pacing is excellent.
Thanks to Kate Forster and Aria for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review and for my blog tour slot. Blog tour post 20 November 2018.
A breezy read about 3 sisters ( triplets) that live a life of wealth. It was a rather strange read, but was enjoyable. This has drama, fashion, confusion etc. I really enjoyed the book as it was a quick escape from reality.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Well, not my usual favoured genre of literature but - once in a while - a tad of utter escapism, with a total lack of realism, does the world of good and, from that perspective, 'The Sisters' did not disappoint. Betrayal, lies, deceit, jealousy ...just for starters. A good, fun read and very neatly done with a satisfying tying up of issues. Enjoyable escapism.
Oh, what absolute rubbish! Real unreal scenario. Three sisters, triplets no less. All living a life of privilege, all absolutely amazing. So, they have sort of gone their own way, but when there is a crisis – all for one (and all that). This has it all, high end fashion, but business in a crisis; mother ill; a murder; confusion, hidden identities. It’s got the lot.
Rather bizarrely, I enjoyed it. Easy read, obviously but still entertaining no matter how unlikely. But then, that’s why we read is it not?
Seriously, now. It is a light-hearted and lovely to set back and coast your way through knowing, just knowing – all would be well.
Thank you to the author, publishers and NetGalley for providing an ARC via my Kindle in return for an honest review.
This one had all the makings of a British boink-buster... Drama, secrets, beautiful moneyed women, fashion, love... it just fell short a wee little bit. It just needed a little more... A little more sex, a little more drama with Leon, a little more fighting between the sisters. and little more something. Everything wrapped up too neatly at the end.
It was a great read though - I loved how the sisters found their triplet bond again. Grace's nickname should have been Elly so there would have been a Letty, Lottie and an Elly just for the sake of cutesy names. I would have loved to see some teenage flashback depicting the girls drifting apart - just for the sake of truly appreciating their reunion.
Having read several of Kate Forster’s previous books, I was looking forward to reading The Sisters and it didn’t disappoint.
Triplets, Carlotta, Violetta and Grace are heirs to a fashion house but have grown apart as they have grown older and lead totally different lives. When their father Leon suddenly disappears leaving their mother Birdie in a coma, the girls are asked to step up and help keep the company from going bankrupt. As they come to terms with the actions of their father, the girls decide to work together to keep the business in the family
A thoroughly enjoyable book with good characters, a story of deception and betrayal which ultimately brings a family back together. I am looking forward to this author’s next book.
This is the first book I have read by Kate Forster but it definitely won't be my last ! This is a wonderful story of a family that has been torn apart by deceit and betrayal and how an awful accident brings them all back together. I thought all the characters were enjoying to read about and found myself cheering for them all . I am so hoping that there will be a sequel as I did not get enough of each character !
I received this e-book for free to read and review from Aria. I requested this book on my own. This is the first book I have read by author Kate Forster. But I am loving her writing techniques. The words flow on the page and is a suspenseful plot that will keep you guessing and not wanting to put it down. You will fall in love with Birdie, Spencer, V, Lotty and Grace. There is some language and sexual content so this storyline is not for the young readers but for the mature readers. You will cheer these characters on and cry and laugh with them. This book can be read anytime of the year. And this will give you the belief back about the bonds of sisterhood.
I haven't read a good bit of chick lit for ages and this is a book for all who enjoy Victoria Fox and Rebecca Chance. Three sisters who are forced to reconnect due to a family tragedy. This is a great beach read and I finished it in 2 days!
I absolutely loved this book and wished for a sequel immediately upon finishing it! I really enjoyed the different personalities of each individual sister and how they were touched by the family's dissolution. It had a happy ending for all parties which sometimes is exactly what we need to read. Thoroughly enjoyable.
This book was an ok read for me. Just not my kind of book to read! This is about the whole de Santoval family, but mainly about the sisters who are heiresses to a glamorous fashion house and their jerk of a father! All of the sisters are actually kind of disgusting lol their drug addicts, sluts, sleep with married men, disgusting men if it'll further their careers the father is just as bad he was a disgusting pig! The mother was the only one not to bad but she still has her moments lol I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy this book I just wasn't one of them . Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
