'I am loved. I am God's. I am made in His image and I will not feel ashamed.'

I am thoroughly enjoying Lynette Eason's 'Blue Justice' series. The St. John family of law enforcement are totally intriguing. This one features Brady St. John, who is enjoying two weeks of much needed vacation when he hears a scream out on the lake by the cabin he's staying in. Of course, he investigates and finds a woman thrown off a boat, who would have been killed had he not been there and taken action. Emily has been kidnapped, but hasn't any idea what the kidnappers want from her. From here on in, the story races, full of suspense and non-stop action. The previous books featuring the St. John daughters were great, but these St. John men...boy, they make great heroes.

Eason is at her finest here with a plot that lets no clue for the reader. I tried with all my might to figure out what was going on, but was still completely surprised at the culprit and the reasoning behind their madness. Bravo! I can't wait for the next book!

*My thanks to the publisher for a complimentary copy of this book via Net Galley. All opinions are my own.

I have read all of Lynettes book and unfortunately this one only gets 4 out of 5 stars for me. All of her other ones especially in this series have been 5 stars. One of the main reason I think this one is not as well written as the others is there were too many characters and too many moving parts that I do not think were all tied together. Their stories seemed too short. The connections weren't there like they always are in Lynettes books. I always feel there are deep ties and connections and this one felt forced. I did love the basis behind the book however there were too many twists and turns that felt forced and not finished. I wish we would have learned more about Heather. I wish she had not drug out finding out what happened to her. I felt that Brady's feelings for Emily developed too fast and we did not get enough of his backstory with Krystal.

I did enjoy the fact that all of the characters made an appearance. I love when she has a series and does that. I also did like the suspense element she always adds, but again, a lot of things felt forced and unfinished.

Code of Valor is book three in the Blue Justice series following the St. Johns, a family of law enforcement officers. In Code of Valor, we delve into Brady St. John's life. He's taking a much needed vacation from his stressful job as a detective, but his relaxation doesn't last long when he hears a woman's scream and rushes headlong into danger to save her. Now caught up in the danger that's coming for Emily, he'll do whatever it takes to solve this mystery and protect the intriguing Emily Chastain.

Eason's books never fail to grab me right from the start and take me on a wild, heart-pounding ride that never lets up. Code of Valor is no exception. The danger was palpable and had my nerves on edge. It took me a little bit to connect with Emily, but once she opened up about her past and I understood her better, I really came to like her.

After three full-length books and one novella, I've really come to love the St. John family and can't wait for my next suspense-filled encounter with them.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher and voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and comments are my honest opinion.

“Code of Valor” by Lynette Eason was a great read! I read this book in a couple of days! Lynette Eason continues to be one of my favorite romantic suspense authors.

This is Book #3 of the Blue Justice Series. This book continues centering around the St. John family. This one centers mainly on Brady St. John. Brady saves Emily Chastain a couple times. Throughout the book, there is adventure and suspense. There is also a little romance thrown in.

I would definitely recommend this book. In fact, I recommend everything Lynette Eason has written. You won’t be disappointed!

This was my first book by this author. I enjoyed the pacing of the story and the characters. I did feel like I had missed a previous story or something that would have helped me connect a bit more with the characters.

Romance, clean; Christian; Suspense, intrigue; series
This was a fantastic read! Gripping from the first few scenes of H.'s abduction, and Emily's opening scenes with Brady St. John. While this is a series, this is a stand alone read. Love the St. John Family elements of these novels. This featured some great, intense diving scenes, and loved that part of this novel. Emily and Brady's gradual fall in the face of the desperate chaos, investigation, and crimes described in the novel, was genuine, honest and caring. They are a great couple, and a perfect fit for each other. Both with some trust issues and problems to work out, but moving forward with life and loving. Great pacing, intensity and romance. A perfect read for anyone who likes suspense, crime, and clean romantic reads. Great read!

Lynette Eason does it again. She reaches into the world of suspense and wraps me into a story filled with non-stop tension and loveable characters. Some new and some returning from the previous two books in the series. My favorite part of the novel was the last twenty percent when Eason hiked up the tension and captured my attention even more. Fans of high action suspense should pick Code of Valor up. Eason created another keeper for fans of suspense novels. I anxiously await for the fourth book in the series.

I received a complimentary copy of Code of Valor by Lynette Eason from Revell Publishing, but the opinions stated are all my own.

Code of Valor is the third book in the Blue Justice series which follows the St John family. Code of Valor has the same blend of action, suspense, romance and strong family dynamics as books one and two, giving readers plenty of thrills as the characters fight for their lives.

Code of Valor focuses on Detective Brady St John, who doesn’t hesitate to jump into harm’s way to help financial investigator Emily Chastain when her life is threatened right in front of him. A relaxing vacation on the lake takes a deadly turn when Brady witnesses a man trying to murder Emily. They escape together, only to have the would-be-killers try again. As Emily and Brady run from multiple attempts on their lives and try to track down those responsible, they still have time to kindle a romantic relationship.

Emily is a complex character, with a history of addiction and a distrust of people. She is reluctant to trust Brady but can’t help be charmed by his endless willingness to protect and support her, even drawing upon his wide network of family connections within law enforcement. Emily and Brady make a nice pair. Brady, while hurt by a past of which we never learn too many details, is willing to trust Emily. In return, Emily slowly opens up to Brady.

Emily and Brady face many challenges, multiple attempts on their lives, a missing-feared-dead best-friend, and an endless stream of suspects to tie to the case.

Code of Valor is a thrilling addition to the Blue Justice series and sure to please fans and readers of inspirational romantic suspense.

The publishers provided an advanced readers copy of this book for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own.

Brady burned out from the last case, goes to a cabin that is usually closed for the winter. Going to go inside and light a fire, when screams and then shots are fired. Finding the woman who had been tied up on a boat now in the water. To bringing her to shore and finding her name was Emily Chastain. She was a financial crimes investigator for a bank. Another fantastic suspense-filled, action-packed addition to the Blue Justice series. The story starts in the middle of the action, and the stakes are high. Brady St. John thinks he’s on vacation, until he rescues Emily Chastain from being kidnapped and nearly drowned. And poor Emily has several attempts on her life while Brady, with the help of his brothers, try to put the pieces of the puzzle together to keep Emily alive and catch some bad guys.

I’m a big fan of suspense, and this book is one non-stop chase. As a reader I was on the edge of my seat as Emily fled for her life. But the author brings Emily’s past to the surface and creates a likable character. Despite the threats against Emily, readers get a chance to know her complex history. Brady and Emily’s instant chemistry breaks the tension up and it’s always great to see characters from the previous novels. There are even a few surprise characters from a completely different series! This is a great suspense read that will keep you up all night – you won’t want to put it down.

"Code of Valor" is a Christian romantic suspense. Emily is repeatedly kidnapped and shot at, but she keeps her wits about her and leaves clues about where she is so that it's easier to find and rescue her. Several people have been hired to come after her, and some seem intent on killing her while the others want information from her. Unfortunately, she doesn't know the information that they want. In addition to surviving, she needs to uncover the information that her friend risked her life to obtain.

The main characters acted realistically and were kind people that I cared about. Emily's past includes an abusive father, running away, and an addiction to pain medication that she has overcome. Emily believes in God even though she's had a hard past, and her faith draws Brady closer to God. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this exciting story.

This is the third book in this series. It is a religious romantic suspense and is very well written. I have read the other books in this series and have enjoyed them all. I love how all of the brothers and sister belong to different branches of law enforcement and how they are always ready to help each other. A very fast and intense mystery

Code of Valor – Lynette Eason

This is the third book in the Blue Justice Series. This story follows Brady St. John, a detective who is on a much needed vacation. However, he hears a scream one night, and sees a woman wrestling with someone on a boat in the middle of the lake. He helps rescue her from her captor and what follows is a race against time trying to put the puzzle pieces together of who is after Emily and why. Emily is a financial crimes investigator with a local bank and thinks that she must have stumbled across some information that someone wants. As the attempts on her life become more frequent, she has to trust Brady and his family and friends to help her.

This was a very fast paced story, it was hard to put down and I finished it quickly! There were many pieces to this story and it wasn’t easy to figure out ahead of time where the story was going so it was very engaging. Lynette Eason is on my list of favorite authors and this book solidifies her spot there. I look forward to all books she writes and I hope this isn’t the end of this series following the St. John family.

Brady St. John is taking a much needed break. Away from his job, away from people. The only problem is, Brady is bored! Hearing a woman's screams on the lake in front of his cabin, Brady races to her rescue. Someone is trying to kill the woman on the boat. When Brady intervene's the would-be killer takes off. Brady rescues Emily Chastain. Who wants Emily dead? And why?

Emily's friend is missing. The last she was heard of was a 911 call saying someone was going to kill her. Now Emily is being targeted by the killer. Can she and Brady figure out what is going on before the killer finds her?

CODE OF VALOR was one exciting event after another! I couldn't put it down! CODE OF VALOR is the 3rd book in The Blue Justice series. The book took different turns that had me guessing and wondering who the killer was. I did get a bit confused at times as to who was calling the shots. It is all wrapped up in the end and tidily settled. There seem to be a lot of characters and sometimes I got a little confused as to who or whom they were working for, but it was still a thrilling read. I loved both Emily and Brady. They are perfect for each other. I love how patient Brady was with Emily and I loved how much Emily's faith influenced Brady and helped him overcome his anger towards God. I love the St. John family and this was definitely a wonderful addition to the series!

In the second Blue Justice series book, meet police detective Brady St. John as he attempts to relax and recover on vacation. Unfortunately for him but truly miraculous for Emily Chastain, financial investigator, who has stumbled into the crosshairs of a network of malevolent men. Time is against them but Brady's siblings are definitely in their corner as they race to discover who the bad guys are, their connection to each other and the location of another woman they caught.

From page one, paragraph one, you will be captured by the intense drama and will want to learn more about the incredible and brave St. John family. Emily and Brady have nightmares and baggage of their own to unpack and resolve. While doing so, they remind us that God is there for us whether we are at our best or our worst.

I eagerly await the next volumes in this series by Lynette Eason.

I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my own opinion.

This book by Lynette Eason is a continuation of her latest series, Blue Justice. This book examines Brady St. John. Brady is on a much needed vacation away from everyone when he witnesses a woman in distress and he rescues her. The woman he rescues in Emily Chastain, a financial investigator. She has uncovered a crime and someone is doing everything they can to stop her from discovering who they are. This book is action packed with these criminals going after her continuously. It leaves you guessing who might be the culprit. I highly recommend this book! You will not be disappointed. If you have read the other books in this series, you will get a few updates on the previous characters. This series is really good!!!

I am not sure I will be able to tell you how wonderful this book and series is, but I will try. Emily Chastain has uncovered discrepancies in her work as a financial-crimes investigator at her bank. She had shared her concern, over these discrepancies, with her best friend Heather, an investigative reporter. Now Heather is missing and Emily has been abducted. Emily is minutes away from being killed and thrown in to a lake when Detective Brady St. John (just love the St. John family), who is at a lake cabin relaxing, hears her scream. He rescues Emily and from there on it is an action-packed race to find Heather and to discover why people are trying to kill Emily. Emily had a difficult time as a teenager and has become a strong and independent woman, while Brady has dealt with an issue in his own past. Brady’s family (who are all involved in law enforcement) and his “brothers in blue”, will chase down suspects until they find out who is behind this far reaching plot. I have read the “Blue Justice” series and loved each book. Ms. Eason is such a gifted author that she brings the St. John family “to life” as you get to know each character and their story. I can’t wait for the next story (but will have to as it is not due out until August…which if you have not read the series will give you plenty of time to catch up). I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to give an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
