A sound self help book with some useful confidence building exercises. Very useful and highly recommended.
An easy to follow guide with easy steps to shake off negativity. A good read for anyone not really into self help books or to dip in and out of,
Thank you very much for allowing me the opportunity to read this book! I appreciate the kindness. <3
Thank you New Harbinger Publications for this ARC in return for my honest review.
This is a useful book, written by a psychotherapist, on self-esteem. The author clearly explains what self-esteem is, possible reasons it can diminish and then in each chapter provides ways we can restore it along its exercises to assist this process. A great book for anyone suffering, as so aptly described as, the common cold of the mind.. a book that can be read to completion or dipped in and out of, focusing on the most relevant chapters.
It was pretty good, nice things to do (journal/think about) outside of the book. You get a range of things to do.
I have been searching for more "Embracing ones on greatness" and this one definitely does not disappoint.
As you reach your potential, this book does wonders with amazing quotes that I have written down either in journals or in beautiful letter handwriting and have frames at least 2 in my home.
This book breaks down the ideals of ones own potential and dives deeper into achieving what we call "the impossible" For beginners who are curious in where to start , this book is definitely one to begin with!
Embrace Your Greatness is an effective easy-to-read guide to greatness and the step-by-step strategies help you to grow and sustain a strong improved self-stem and reduce the nagativity in your life.
Judith Belmont has put together 50 practical exercises with the recommendation to practice them one by one in various situations with the aim towards feeling better, happier and a more fulfilling life.
Thank you to NetGalley, New Harbinger Publications, Inc. and Judith Belmont for the opportunity to read and review this self-help book prior to publication.
This book is good.
It has nice ideas and good inspiration and if you are someone that has a few self-esteem "issues" i think this book will have great tips to help you.
BUT if you are actually suffering from self-esteem issues that are deep rooted and already tried all the "easy" tips and tricks? This book will be of no help in my option.
And not because it's a bad book but just because this book keeps it relatively easy and simple with the solutions and ideas on what you should do if you think or behave a specific way.
I definitely think there is an audience for his book that will love it and gets lots o helpful ideas from it.
But i also think that if you are actually need more realistic help with self-esteem? this will not be any help.
Decide for yourself depending on what you are looking for in this book if it for you or not.
3/5
Embrace Your Greatness consists of fifty exercises for readers to start feeling better of themselves. There were questionnaires, explanations, and steps to take to shake the negativity. I blame myself for not being able to appreciate the book fully because I've been to therapies and read some books in self-help so there were nothing new for me here. Some parts were also quite short, and although they were good in a sense of I didn't have to read longer words (therefore, they were compact), I long for a longer explanation (am I making sense?).
Assuming that everyone manages to do the exercises successfully, the book offers nothing on 'what if I fall back in the negativity' part. However, I'd recommend the book to anyone who can't be bothered with word vomits about psychology and want to act asap.
