I have read many books by author Rebecca Zanetti with that knowledge I knew there would be lots of steamy sexy scenes what I wasn't prepared for was how much I enjoy the chase and between Mercy and Logan.
This story can be read as a stand a lone novel.
This was the first in the series I have read and I enjoyed the author ability to paint a worlds within our world that has readers fighting, wondering and discovering a whole new world.
The characters have a lot more levels than I expected from a supernatural romantic suspense story.
I can't wait to go back and read the other stories as I wait for the next story in the series. Mercry is the brains in the story or at least in her mind she is the brains and Logan is the muscle. The story is one of finding balance in the world, relationships and do whatever it takes to keep the ones you love safe.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the Advance Copy of Rebecca Zanetti Demon's Mercy
Half Demon/half Vampire Logan is getting ready to go through the ritual to become one of the "Seven", a ritual he may not survive. Mercy is being tasked with not letting him go through the ritual.
Fae Mercy has always been true to her people. She grew up knowing she would marry Niall and accepted that although she thought of him as more of a friend. With the Fae population very low, she must do what she can to protect her people.
Logan knows he must go through the ritual to try and save the ultimate evil from being unleashed on the world. The forces that hold him in a prison are weakening.
While Logan and Mercy fight the attraction that consume their every moment will they ever try to understand what is really happening in the world and try to work together? Logan knows she is his mate but she doesn't see the possibility.
Logan and Mercy are pretty strong characters, both Alpha. If Logan thought Mercy would be subservient to him and to stay out of danger than he had another thing coming!
Neither side really knows the absolute of what would happen in the future, just as their ideas would allow. The Fae were more naïve in their way of going about it, something that would bring even more danger.
I loved the story of course and loved seeing the other characters from the Dark Protector family. I'd like to see more of Sam, Logan's brother and even see how the Fae President Dawn's life changes...and of course Hope, the next generation!
And Minga? I loved that Rebecca dedicated this story to you!!
If you are a DP fan, more excitement waits ahead and if you are new to the DP family, you have quite a treat coming!!
Super fantastic, sexy hot addition to the ever growing series. We are getting answers to long ago asked questions along with new questions. This was so fun to read, i loved her spunky attitude and he was able to evolve around her.
Logan and Mercy, two complete opposites, but you know they say opposites attract! And what an attraction! Mercy is a Fae (NOT Fairy!) and is very loyal to her race. But along comes Logan (can we say Hottie with a capital H?) and all bets are off. She tries, she really does, but can I just say Logan? I have enjoyed each and every one of these stories that Rebecca Zanetti has written, but I must say it’s nice to see how the next generation is coming along. Can’t wait for the next installment. Oh, by the way, I definitely recommend this book (really the whole series if you haven’t read them yet!). The women are strong and the men sometimes don’t know what hit them!
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley for an honest opinion.
After I finished the last book in the Dark Protectors series, all I could hear in my head was ‘Please, Sir, may I have another?’ And the book gods heard me because here it is: Demon's Mercy. More sexy Vampire-Demons, more chaos, more giggles and more mayhem. Why yes please, I will have another.
Logan…? Logan…? LOGAN! It took me a while to remember who he was. I got so used to Garrett being attached to him at the hip I forgot he was a separate entity. For some reason in my head I always had him pegged as a younger guy. No matter, he’s all grown up now and quite the hottie. Mercy is a fae (don’t call them fairies!) and was an interesting character IMO. Her situation/creation/destiny made for a strange predicament. There are so few faes left that her life is all planned out for her, including who she is supposed to mate. Which was NOT supposed to be Logan. Oh, well! Things have a way of changing and sometimes you just cannot avoid the attraction.
This was a very busy read! There’s a war coming and there’s plenty of build-up leading towards it. As you read each book in the series, you can feel when it happens it’s going to be epic! There are however, two items in the series that we keep getting sneak peeks to that have me oh so curious. The first is, of course, the re-building of the Seven. Every time a new one is inducted, we get a glimpse at the other Sevens. Are they all going to get mates and what about the ones that have gone missing? Hmmm…
Now the one recurring thing that has me just ITCHING for the answer is Hope. How she fits into the prophecy, I have no problem waiting for that answer. I’m sure it has plenty to do with the final battle. It’s her dreamworld and Drake, but mainly Drake. Who is he because the not knowing is driving me nuts! I got a bad feeling about him and have my suspicions nothing is going to come out good with him around. ARGH! The suspense is killing me
I peeked ahead to see who gets the next book. I see Ivar and not Garrett is next. Yays and boos at the same time. Boo because I can’t think of Logan without Garrett and since Logan got his HEA, Garrett is due. Yay! because, well, it’s Ivan. Either way I’m excited and cannot wait!
I received this book from the JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

This was a fun and entertaining read. Loved Mercy who was Fae and how she drove poor Logan crazy. Lots of action and plenty of steam with lots of great characters from this series. Mercy was a fantastic character willing to fight and very defiant and strong. This book made me laugh at times. Plenty of chemistry with some sexy time and tons of action. Loved it!!!
Loved, loved, loved. Ready for the next one! Kept me interested the entire time. I have enjoyed this series from book 1.
I received a copy of Demon's Mercy by Rebecca Zanetti from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Although I have not read the other books in this series (Demon's Mercy was #9 in the Dark Protectors series and I was new to the series), I was pleased that it did not take long to orient myself in this new world. Rebecca Zanetti was able to introduce the characters, their relationships and motivations or abilities, without bogging down the entire start of the this novel. It was quick to get up to speed.
I found Demon's Mercy to be a decent read. It had an interesting storyline/plot and decent dialogue. Where I did think it fell short was the chemistry between the main characters though. I just didn't feel them.
I will definitely check out the first novels in this series to see if different main characters made the experience more enjoyable.
LOVED THIS BOOK! This is the first book I've read in the series and was a tiny bit lost but wow does she create a world I want to get lost in. I loved the chemistry between Logan and Mercy! It really steamed up my kindle. I'm a sucker for "mates" and "markings" in stories. Logan was the perfect alpha-male … all over-protective and caring...yum. I really need to go back to the beginning. I was super interested to learn what Sam knew about his "calling". I received an ARC from netgalley for an honest, volunatary review!
Although this book is number 9 in the series, (in actual fact, it's more than that, as there are some novellas that come earlier in the series too) it didn't really matter that it was the first that I read. With a book like this, there is a lot of world building to do and it's often a challenge to get the balance between writing something that will make sense to new readers and won't be too repetitive for those who have followed the series can be a huge challenge. Fortunately, for me at least, Rebecca Zanetti pulled it off.
Logan is a Vampire - Demon hybrid. He has a destiny to fulfil and needs to become one of the 'seven.' Mercy is a fae (not a fairy, thank you very much) and her people have decided that the seven can't be completed and fully formed as it will pull apart dimensions and destroy everything. She tries her best to stop him, but the chemistry between them cannot be denied and perhaps there is more to all of this than either of them know.
There's a lot going on in this story. The romance is great, but it almost takes a back seat to the progression of the rest of the story. I loved the conflict between Mercy and Logan, as they battle to gain control of each other and their feelings. I'd like to see more of that, but it looks as though there are a lot of other characters to deal with in future books. I'd like to go back and read some of the other stories but I'd also be keen to learn about those who have either not found their mate as yet, or perhaps don't seem to get on with their mate and then there's the next generation with a story to tell.
This was a great read and I'm almost sorry that I started here, as clearly, nine books in, there are a lot of other books to get my teeth into already out there.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
I've received a ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I normally never read fantasy romance novels but this took me on a whirlwind adventure! The writing, plot, and characters were refreshing! I love the cat and mouse cat between Mercy and Logan, and their chemistry is sizzling hot!
I don't have the right words to describe how much I loved this book! I don't know if it's simply because of the return to the world of the Dark Protectors (I missed the last book and DEFINITELY need to go back and read it!) or if it was how much I loved Mercy. Mercy is Fae and wanted to believe that she was a badass, but was quickly proven wrong by Logan (a half vampire/half demon warrior). However, that doesn't mean that she was helpless or a princess who needed saving every step of the way. Mercy held her own and I loved her for it. I also really enjoyed visiting with characters from previous books and the interesting dynamic that Janie's daughter has with a Kurjan which so nicely mirrors her own childhood. Overall, I simply can't recommend this book enough and I can't wait for the next in the series!!!
I absolutely love this series and I was so excited I was approved for an ARC! Once I started reading I was hooked! The action was awesome and the chemistry between Logan and Mercy was hot! Mercy is this cute Fae who takes no mess. Logan is a totally alpha male soldier but has a sweet side. They were a good fit. I enjoyed when Mercy would not just do what Logan said she has her own mind and didn’t have any problems telling him when to shove it lol! I can’t wait to read the next one!
*Received ARC from NetGalley💙

The name is so suitable for this book/story because demon Logan meets his mate Mercy. In this story, we found out that the fairies are real and not crazy but a nation with advanced weapons, knowledge and one goal to stop the Seven to form to full form. Logan has full hands with Mercy they argue trough whole book, they fight and they haw power struggles. Both characters great and well developed, they are both strong, stubborn and loyal to their cause. I loved that because of her king action she sees the real truth and what is the best thing to do and how to act The book is full of action, I had the feeling that Logan was fighting the whole time without a break. Action, suspense, hot men, funny fairie action, past, and the present, hot mating and lovely ending for Logan and Mercy.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
Demons Mercy features the next generation in the Dark Protector series, and a new species. the Fairy, although they prefer to be called Fae. The Demons don’t know much about the Fae, and much of the Fae knowledge is from books and other writings. Mercy is one of the Fae, and instead of killing Logan, she kidnaps him. Of course, that doesn’t go well, and there is a lot of cross purpose explaining and attacks from others. Logan is attracted to Mercy, but she can’t allow herself to be serious about him, and she can’t let him be hurt either. Lots of fast paced action, and of course some steamy sex scenes. Really enjoyed this addition to the series.
This one was funny, but I do not know if I have the time and the desire of following also this series from beginning till the end, it's just that I am a little bit fed up with paranormal romance and vampires, demons, fae and hybrids.
I do not know, but if I will read it further, Rebecca Zanetti is usually good and enjoyable.
THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!
This was an ARC received. This is book 9 in the Dark Protectors Series. This can be read as a stand a line, however, in order to get a good grasp of all of the characters you should start at the beginning. Totally worth it! This story focuses on Logan Kyllwood, brother to Zane and Sam, who is a demon/vampire hybrid. He meets Mercy O'Malley, a Fae in a bar. What Logan doesn't realize is that Mercy is there to kidnap and kill him. Only he is there to try and protect her because she is one of the 3 keys. Mercy, will do anything she can to prevent the final formation of the Seven. The Seven is a group of hybrids who think they can protect the Earth from evil and Kurjans. However, Mercy is convinced it will be catastrophic if Logan completes the ritual to become one of the Seven. Logan's brother Sam is kidnapped instead, and he will stop at nothing to get him back and ensure his family's safety. They will need to learn to trust each other in order to survive. I give this book 4-1/2 stars!
Mercy O’Malley hates killing people. So when she’s assigned to take out Vampire-Demon Logan Kyllwood, she lures him to a seedy bar in Scotland, then decides to kidnap him instead. Unfortunately for Mercy, attempted murder and kidnapping are just foreplay for the Kyllwood brothers. Logan may be the youngest of the bunch, but death and violence are already a way of life. When I started reading I couldn't put it down. Rebecca Zanetti is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book.
