Had me hooked from the first page. Hot guys, demons, vampires, witches & fae - and a smoking hot romance - what's not to like.

This is one of my favorite stories in the Dark Protector series. I loved hot, alpha, protective, over-bearing and sexy Logan. It's not a good start to a relationship when you are kidnapped by a quirky Fae like Mercy. Both are trying to keep the Realms together, but Mercy has been misinformed for years. Logan and Mercy are like oil and water, but work together as they are being chased by others who may want them dead. Fast paced, sexy and electric fun by Rebecca Zanetti!

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion from the publishers thru NetGalley

The book Demon's Mercy by Rebecca Zanetti was my first foray into her world of Dark Protectors. I had not been previously aware before picking up this book, that it had been a part of a series.
This had mostly beneficial advantages for me. I came into this series unbiased. Also, unknowing of all the past characters and acts that have taken thus far. I also got to see the world building and a perhaps unique viewpoint from the side of Mercy, the heroine's side. I am unclear as to how much world building of her culture had been done in previous books. That leads me to the disadvantage, in that I am basically a bit out of the loop as to what each side has or had already accomplished.
Although it was admittingly a bit frustrating at times, to understand what had previously happened; I could piece things well enough together that it is a perfectly good solid stand-alone book. It definitely gives you everything you need to enjoy the adventure, and to be able to connect the dots.
I thoroughly enjoyed the opposites attract magnetism between Logan and Mercy. The book was wise enough not to center on the attraction building between Logan and Mercy alone, but work around the tension surrounding them in more ways than one. I'm sure that fans of the books will enjoy seeing their favorites again appearing in scenes. This just makes me want to read more about the Dark Protectors.
A great, solid, and enjoyable read. I will be sure to go back and read another so that I can understand a lot more of the history of the Dark Protectors!

This was a decent read. It stayed pretty steady throughout and gave you something to keep you motivated to read more. I am still not sure what to think of Mercy, but I will take a Logan any day. I will be interested to continue reading and see what happens in the next book.

This was my second book by Ms. Zanetti and first in the Dark Protectors series. And I liked it but I didn't really love it. Don't get me wrong, this is a good book, well worth the time it takes you to read it, I just didn't fall in love with the characters or the plot as I hoped I would. Part of my problem is that I haven't read any other of the Dark Protectors books and it took me quite a while to grasp what this fictional world is all about. But that's on me and not the book's fault. You can easily read this one as a stand alone but I think those who read the books that came before this will love this one more.
And my second problem with this book, that lowered the rating from me, was Mercy, the heroine. I didn't like her. I couldn't warm up to her at all. She just rubbed me the wrong way I guess. I liked Logan, the hero, on the other hand, even if he came across as a very bossy caveman sometimes. That didn't diminsh his charms though. ;)
Overall this wasn't a bad book, far from it. I recommend you read the previous ones in the series prior to starting this though. You'll enjoy it more.

Mercy O’Malley is a fae. Her people have discovered discovered that the ritual that is making the Seven, a secret organization made up of hybrids who are sworn to protect the world from an evil being imprisoned in a different dimension, puts their very worlds in danger. Next on the list to become one is Logan Kyllwood, a vampire-demon hybrid. Mercy has read all about Logan, and she is determined to convince him to make a different choice.

Logan is outraged that Mercy would try to kidnap him and get him to do her bidding. He thought he was kidnapping her, but it's easy enough to turn the tables and play to his advantage. Logan needs Mercy, since she is a Key. She could mean the difference between life and death for his people. How can he turn her around to his cause?

Although DEMON'S MERCY by author Rebecca Zanetti is the first book I have read in the DARK PROTECTORS series, I feel that it could be read as a standalone. I am sure I would have felt a stronger connection to Logan's friends and family had I read more in the series, but I do not feel that it takes much away from DEMON'S MERCY. Logan and Mercy are two very different individuals/species, but both are about to become the other's savior. Love truly does conquer all in Ms. Zanetti's DEMON'S MERCY. I look forward to picking up the rest of the DARK PROTECTORS series. Readers will not want for hot alpha males here!

This is the first book in this series I have read. It won't be the last. Mercy does have a thing about be called a fairy. The fun sex banter was so good. I laughed out loud with the "Holy Greek yogurt." The world building is so well done. So easy to fall into this book.

Oh how I laughed, sighed, swooned, and how I felt absolutely sizzled by Rebecca Zanetti's newest Dark Protector's novel! I can't even begin to tell you all how much I TREASURE the ever loving heck out of these books! And Logan...peeps, be prepared for this hotter than sin alpha because he will swoop in to your heart and make your knees weak and your heart race with arousal and have your blood heating up. And Mercy...good lord, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED this heroine! She is a total surprise and a bad-arse not to mention she is full of spirit and sass and has more than a few tricks up her sleeve. She is my kind of heroine and I never giggled so much with the way she had Logan on his toes. She never gave up and you can't say she was good with being submissive. And Logan constantly kept showing his dominant side to her yet instead of being cowed by it, Mercy just notched up her chin more and showed him a thing or two. She led him on more than one merry chase and I ADORED it!

Demon's Mercy was one surprise after another. The story had loads of twists and unexpected thrills and tons of heart thumping action. It was a never ending read of AMAZING and I definitely want the WHOLE world to know just how much I recommend this book. This series just gets better and better and I can't wait for more! Readers will LOOOOVE Logan and Mercy...I guarantee it!

Demon's Mercy gets a SIZZLING AND SWOON WORTHY TEN SUPER HOT STARS!

I Absolutely loved this fast paced, sexy, paranormal romance By Rebecca Zanetti.
I loved Logan and Mercys story,Logan's a demon-vampire hybrid and Our h Mercy is a Fairy oops I'm sorry she prefers to be called fae .Everything about this book I Loved the chemistry between the main characters the romace and sexy scenes.Every time She would slip through Logans fingers and escape him I would laugh out loud it was so funny how many times he underestimated her.
It's not all fun and games these two have to find a way to prevent war between The Realm and Fae nation, it definitely won't be easy with them being enemies and all.
I absolutely recommend Demons Mercy.

Rebecca Zanetti is always spot on entertaining and with number 9 of the Dark Protector series, she's found new ground and yet stays with a strong storyline as well. Demon's Mercy is delightful and sometimes it's beyond amusing to read of the interaction between Mercy O'Malley and Logan Kyllwood. They definitely throw sparks off one another every time their worlds collide. Logan is macho with nerves of steel. He's commanding with a challenging purpose in his near future. Who knew a fairy might try to mess with his plans? I mean, haven't we all dreamt of kidnapping a demon/vampire? Mercy might be petite and a fairy (who prefers to be called fae...she has to repeat herself often) but she comes with her own confidence and surprising talents. She has an important reason to stop Logan's plan, but she'd like not to kill him! I am highly recommending this excellent novel.

Demon’s Mercy is a fast paced, paranormal romantic suspense. It is a part of this author’s Dark Protector series and I would recommend reading them in order for this book to make sense and to avoid spoilers.

Demon’s Mercy is the story of Logan Kyllwood, the younger brother of Zane and a hybrid demon-vampire. He is the ultimate hot, alpha, protective hero. In some areas, I did feel like he was overprotective of Mercy and his bossiness got a little redundant, but I did love this sexy man. Mercy is Fae (yes, a new species that hasn’t been present in the other books). She is one of the 3 keys that the Seven is searching for. She is a strong, stubborn character who is torn between her duty to her people and her love for Logan. I loved how hard core she was. She is determined, brilliant, and has no trouble defending herself.

This book has a lot of action with good fight scenes, teleporting, inventive weapons, and alternate dimensions. In Vampire’s Faith (the previous book), we learned little bit about the Seven. In this book, the Seven is expanded upon - both the other members of the Seven are further developed as well as the purpose of these warriors. There is some intrigue when it comes to discord between what the Seven believe and what the Fae believe about the dimensions and if inducting Logan into the Seven is necessary vs. catastrophic.

While this book has great world building and hot chemistry between Logan and Mercy as well as great suspense, I felt that parts of this book were a little redundant - such as the number of times Mercy attempted to run from Logan. I really enjoyed getting to see some of the characters from the previous books, especially Garrett and Sam. There are a few chapters from Hope’s POV and I am seeing a ton of similarities between her and Janie. I am hoping that the author does a little twist on this. One of the things that I would like to see in this author’s future books is a family tree as there are so many characters in this series that I can’t remember who is mated to who. Overall, I really enjoyed this fast-paced book and I am looking forward to the next one in the series. I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review.

Okay, so I was going to say that this novel/novella is the ninth in a series and you have to have read a few of them to be able to distinguish the various characters. But then I looked and actually I have only read one previous book in this series - I have however read several of the spin-off Realm Enforcers series.

If you like your paranormal heroes built like tanks, with super-human powers, a bossy nature and an affinity to motorbikes and guns then this series is for you!

Logan Kyllwood is a vampire-demon hybrid. He is about to perform a mysterious and allegedly highly dangerous ritual to become one of the Seven, a secret group of hybrids sworn to protect the world from an evil imprisoned in a different dimension. He has tracked down a young woman who is one of three mysterious 'Keys' and struck up a conversation with her in a bar. What he doesn't know is that he is the victim of a sting operation. The young woman is actually a fairy (they prefer to be called fae), a species previously thought to be a myth, and she is determined to stop Logan from becoming one of the Seven by kidnapping him.

This has literally everything. Demons, hybrids, fae, oracles, transporting, dimension travel, ancient prophecies, mating rituals, BDSM games, dark rituals, vikings, scotsmen, cute moppets, the list goes on.

I said recently that I think novellas is the way to go with paranormal, short enough to maintain the interest but long enough to encompass plotting, double crosses, fights, mating and important meetings! Honestly this had so many things that I normally loathe about the paranormal, the bossiness, the way the women capitulate and agree that they will obey the men all the time, the way the men ride rough shod over the women, the way they threaten (and often do) to smack their butts. And yet I enjoyed every second of this novella. My only gripe is that the end kind of fizzled out with lots yet to be resolved - not quite a cliff-hanger but most definitely a to-be-continued. Nevertheless, I am eagerly looking forwards to the next books.

I received a free copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Demon's Mercy is another irresistible paranormal romance in the totally addicting Dark Protectors series. The story contains a lot of backstory from previous novels and thus would be best read as part of the whole series. That being said, with a series this good why would you read just one? A combination of insolent heroine and big, hulking overprotective hero gets this story off on the right foot. Mercy is a fairy (fae if you ask her) that thinks she can save the world by preventing demon/vampire hybrid Logan from becoming one of the seven protectors. A lot of back and forth one-upmanship leaves Mercy in the very capable hands of Logan, who just happens to be her potential mate. Danger and secrets spice up this story as Mercy gives Logan a run for his money in a heated, suspenseful chase that ends with a semi- HEA (as part of the continuing series). With enough humor to lighten the story and enough action to keep the pages flying by, this book was a joyride full of smiles and excitement with characters brought to life in living color for my own pure reading pleasure. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

I loved this fast paced paranormal romance with great characters and dialogue. Mercy is on a mission to stop part demon part vampire, Logan, from becoming one of the Seven. If the Seven reach full force it would be catastrophic to the Fae, so Mercy may have to kill him if she can't dissuade him. To complicate everything Mercy and Logan are strongly attracted to each other despite being enemies. Zanetti never disappoints!

This is a great series, and I can't wait to read the next book! Each book continues with a main story line with different characters although characters from other books are prevalent. Mercy, a fairy, is the perfect mate for Logan! The Realm has a lot to learn about the fae as they have powers that no one knows about. Logan is a true alpha male and Mercy has her own mind. Watching them figure out their relationship was a fun read!

4.5 Stars!

Finally, we get Logan's story! Only slightly less excited than I will be to get Garrett's story. But still! If you have read through this series, you have seen Logan grow in to the man he is. With the challenge of the Seven pressing on him, he doesn't have time for a woman. But he might have time for Mercy. He has been following her and thinks things may go his way until she turns the tables and kidnaps him.

I don't think we have met or heard about the Fae much in this author's world. Obviously, the huge cast of characters don't know much about them either. Logan is about to get up close and personal and learn all their secrets if Mercy will allow.

Loved the spicy dialogue with these two. Tough little fairy but Logan held his own. Love, love seeing all the original vamps and demons again. The action is heating up and I anticipate there will be an all out war at some point. I had minor de ja vu with Hope and the dream walking. Reminded me of the story line with her mother. Hopefully we aren't just getting an updated repeat of that story.

Can't wait to see how the story will unfold. Still many hidden roles to come in order to keep the world safe. Looking forward to more!!

Another great release in the Dark Protector series by Rebecca Zanetti. This one is with Logan as our hero. He meets his match and she is Fae (don't call her a fairy ! HA!) Logan is looking for Mercy O'Malley because she is a key and the Seven need the three keys to stop Ulric. This book is action packed from beginning to end as Logan and Mercy discover each other worlds and fall in love. I couldn't put it down, I had to know how they would make it work. They are from very different worlds and they both believe in what they are doing is right. Mercy wants to stop the Seven and Logan wants to become one to help protect his family and their mates. We get to see others from past books and this release keeps the story moving forward on what is starting to look like another war coming.
I can't wait for the next release. Looks like it might be Garrett!
