Nate moved to Vermont when an old friend leaves her family Inn to him and his sister. He is a chef and plans to open the restaurant and Inn after he renovated it. Emily shows up and wants to research the Inn. I was surprised he wasn’t more curious about her motivation. I love books about Inns. This is a sweet story and the characters are very likeable. The ending leaves room for future books. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is such a charming read and the location of a B&B in picturesque Vermont was described to perfection.
I was given a ARC for a honest review. My opinion is my own.
Chef Nathan Harte is renovating the old inn he’d inherited from an elderly friend. His opening day is a week away and the renovations have been extensive. He has created a lovely inn that is sure to be popular.
When a car runs him over he has a broken arm, but is still determined to see the inn open on time.
Emily Harrington arrives at the inn to research genealogy records for a client,. She develops a little crush on Nate.
This progresses into the beginning of a pleasant romance. This has pleasant story lines, nice charcters and a great location. The descriptions of food, antiques, and the renovation of the property were done to perfection. A very nice read.
A good sort of cozy mystery, well written and with a solid plot.
I loved the settings, the characters and the style of writing.
The book was entertaining and engaging, it never bores and it has a steady pace.
I look forward to reading other books by this writer.

Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC
I normally prefer more suspense but this book was still quite well done. With some memorable characters I enjoyed the story line but find books with no real ending frustrating. Don't know if I will read the next book. I received an e-book from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.
