Maddie is a sweet and upbeat young lady even in the face of all that is going wrong in her life. Cole is hellbent on revenge. Maddie has been secretly in love with Cole since she was a child and when they meet again she believes it is her chance to finally get to know him better. There are huge obstacles in the way that they have to tackle. While they are doing so they are intensely burning up the sheets at every opportunity. Love survives, problems are solved and happily ever after is achieved.

A good story; I loved how Cole was at heart a caring man and how in the end, he and Maddie got their HEA.

Maddie has had the day from hell. She is working as a maid today since they were short on staff and to top off her day she was fired. Trying to avoid a leering co-worker she hides in a suite and bumps into a very naked hottie Cole. They both do not want to give each other their real names but are both attracted to each other and decide to meet again, and that just wet their appetite, after having a scorching kiss and deciding they are going to go for it since they seem to both be having a dry spell. Come to find out that Maddie is the granddaughter of the man he wants to destroy since that man destroyed him and his friend died because of it, now Cole is on a revenge mission and no one is going to stop him. We have acceptance, then betrayal or misconceptions and eventually forgiveness..Enjoy!

Holy cow Ms. Weiss is a magician! I loved the plot! I thought it was fantastic, well planned out and definitely a shocker at the twist in events! It's funny how the crappy things in life turn out to be the catalyst in setting up a brighter future for you. This book is the epitome of that catalyst and you must read it to find out how vengeance turns into a really sweet HEA.

I thought Maddie and Cole's story was pretty decent. Cole takes over Maddies grandfather's business in a vengeful quest to avenge the death of his friend and false imprisonment. When he mistakes Maddie for a maid their sexual chemistry is off the charts. Then she proposes to become his mistress in exchange for her job and upfront money she needs to help her ailing family. He accepts but tells her it would be sex only.
I had issues with Cole's character. He initially appears to be an uncaring jerk but throughout the novel his moods and behaviors contradict each other. He says he doesn't want anything to do with Maddie but he seeks her out, asks her about herself and gives in to her desires. His character is to erratic to show real character growth.
I liked Maddie because she is consistently brash and honest. She wants Cole and she goes after him. She's loving and understanding.
Not a bad story, entertaining but nothing earth shattering.

This one had me flying through the pages, the drama and chemistry floating around between these two kept things engaging and hot! The writing was well paced, the characters were vividly drawn, and the words came with loads of feeling and steam... a win in my book! Highly recommend this one, it's an enemies to lovers story that is certain to check all the boxes!

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

Wrongly accused of a crime that him and his friends did not commit has left a bad taste of revenge in his mouth. His goal for revenge is to take down Samuel Russell. He’s the reason for all the wrong doings against him and his friends. What better way to take down Samuel then to take everything he has and leave him penniless. First order of business: buy his hotel and fire all of his family and friends. Second order of business: find Samuel Russell and prove he lied.

When a chance meeting finds Maddie face-to-face with this sexy stranger, things might be looking up, that is until she discovers that the sexy stranger is a blast from her past. Cole cannot believe his luck or shall he say bad luck. The first girl he has had a connection with in a long time, turns out to be the granddaughter of his sworn enemy. Will Cole let his revenge consume him?

Wow! This was such a great story. Cole and Maddie had amazing chemistry. Even though cold comes off as this big bad cold millionaire, underneath he really is a sweetheart with a heart of gold. He gives back to those who are unfortunate and doesn’t expect to be recognized for it. Maddie is a sweetheart. She is what some call a caregiver. She always tries to take care of everyone. Putting everyone else before herself, she often doesn’t have time for her own happiness.

Overall this book fun and full of love. Love lost and love found. A sweet and endearing read that will have your heart melting. There will be times that you want to laugh and times you will want to cry. This is a steady paced read with wonderful and amazing characters. You are sure to fall in love. I know I did. So if you love a good romance with a dose of revenge, then this book is for you.

This was an enjoyable story. That grabbed me from the very beginning. Thanks to the two main characters, Cole and Maddie and an interesting first introduction to the pair. Plus, it had a nice enemies to lovers vibe to it and there was plenty to hold my interest throughout. Not to mention a little angst and drama. As well as chemistry and a couple of hot moments, and I would certainly recommend it to others.

Maddie has been fired from her job. Her family owned a hotel and it has been bought by a millionaire. She wants to keep her job so she can keep helping her disabled sister. Cole was from the wrong side of town and he and his friends were convicted of a crime they didn’t commit. They were sent to juvie where one of his friends is killed. Now he wants revenge on the man who fingered them for the crime. So he buys his hotel and fires all his family and friends. When he meets Maddie he doesn’t recognize her at first but when he does he tells her he’d never hire her back. Then he comes up with a plan, he drafts a contract in exchange for being his mistress he’ll give her job back and pay her. She agrees but doesn’t expect to fall for him. But when he finds out some things, he thinks she’s been lying to him the whole time and she leaves before the contract is up. Can Cole give up his plans for revenge and keep the one woman he loves?

Great story. Sex, lies, and secrets. A man wanting vengeance and a woman just trying to hold her family together.

Cole is a man who devoted his life to success to spite his enemy. Maddie is from the enemy's family. Enemies to lovers. Relationship of convenience/contract. It's a fun sexy romance with twists and turns!

Maddie and Cole met when they were much younger, but Maddie lied about her feelings in order to protect him from her father. They meet again as adults. The attraction is still there, but Cole doesn’t trust Maddie or her family. However, Maddie needs money to help her sister, so she agrees to a short-term agreement to act as Cole’s mistress and hostess. Despite,their best laid plans, Maddie falls in love with Cole. However, her father poisons Cole against her so they part ways. Eventually, Cole realizes that he was lied to and fight to get Maddie back. This is a quick and sweet read - just right for an afternoon or evening.

I did not finish this book. I found the premise to be problematic in many ways. Why the heroine was supporting her disabled sister financially didn't make any sense. Why would she know that her sister's trust fund had been depleted by their grandfather, while the sister had no clue? If their parents were still alive, why were they not involved in supporting the sister who was their favored child? Within minutes of finding out that the handsome stranger she was set to have a one night stand with was actually someone with a vendetta against her family, she offers to be his mistress if he would let her keep her job. This is 2018, not 1818 and a woman with the kind of experience managing a hotel should not have too much difficulty finding something else. I can suspend disbelief that a young, handsome man in his thirties is a self-made millionaire (not sure how he made his money), but I couldn't get over all the other things that didn't work for me. I gave up about halfway through.

I thought the writing was good and this book could have been better if it didn't rely on a trope that works well in historical romances that are set in a time when women had such limited options financially.

What can you do when all your best-laid plans for revenge somehow blow up in your face? Well, you might try to NOT fall for your enemy - and if you are really lucky, you might fail spectacularly.

At least that's what Cole, our hero, finds out. The hard way. Falling all the way and all that and fighting it tooth and nails and...in vain. Falling in love with Maddie is the one thing that he doesn't want but the only thing that he can't fight no matter how hard he tries - and I enjoyed every single page of his fight.
Cole hatred was palpable and understandable but, well, Maddie is far too nice and too sweet for him to hold on to those feelings especially when he realized that she was innocent.

I really loved Maddie. The way she cares for those around her, the love she gives despite her own upbringing, she is amazing - and she shows Cole that no one, not even her grandfather, is just good or just bad but that there are all shades of grey in between. And she shows him that sometimes living your life and loving someone are worth letting go of your hatred.

The millionaires revenge contract is a lovely romance with some really ‘hot’ moments. Maddies grandfather lied about an event years previously which resulted Cole and his friends being sent to a juvenile detention centre, here due to terrible treatment and conditions Coles best friend died whilst there. Cole swore he’d revenge his friends death and worked tirelessly to become extremely rich.
In a hostile takeover he is determined to bring the whole family down, Maddie is now fired from the company, needing money to help her sister who is paralysed after an accident she agrees to a contract with Cole so she can help her sister. Prior to this they had met and their sexual attraction was off the scales, but Cole is determined he will not fall for Maddie so determined is he to exact his revenge. So begins a great story as the relationship develops.
The first couple of chapters did seem a little rushed when trying to set the scene, but it settled down into an enjoyable story, with humour, lots of emotion and a cast of well rounded characters.

This book was just okay for me. It had potential but I felt like the book did not go into enough detail about the characters past or their current relationship. I wasn’t really rooting for them because I didn’t feel connected to them. Ultimately I felt like the lack of detail made it difficult to enjoy the book.

I really liked the idea of this story. Cole was wronged by Maddie’s grandfather and his need for revenge has driven him to become a successful businessman. Exacting his revenge starts with taking over Maddie’s family’s hotel. At first, Maddie is collateral damage. But the more time that Cole spends with Maddie, the more he comes to care about her.

I liked the main characters of Cole and Maddie. They were both complex and yet likeable. You can’t help but root for them to find their happily ever after. Some of the dialogue was really cheesy though. Soon after meeting, Cole and Maddie go for coffee. She basically announces, “I’ll take a latte and I think the missionary position is boring.” I’m exaggerating a little but that is the basic gist of the conversation.

While I liked the overall direction of the book, the plot fell apart for me at times. It was a little like having a puzzle. You know what the puzzle is supposed to look like but you can’t quite pull everything together. Some puzzle pieces are missing and some pieces that are from a totally different puzzle. And some pieces fit but you kind of have to force them together.

I like a good revenge as much as the next person. People usually get hurt in the process. That's when you start to question everything. Maddie and Cole's story made me happy, sad, mad and confused sometimes in the same chapter. Wonderful!

I loved this book! When I first began reading, it felt very familiar, but as I kept reading, the book became something unique and engaging. I found myself engrossed in Maddie and Cole's difficult pasts and their, somewhat enemies to lovers tale.

Cole is the boy who was done wrong by Maddie's family with tragic results. He has dedicated his entire adult life to success and then the vengeance that fueled that drive to succeed. When Cole and Maddie meet again as adults, they don't recognize each other and are immediately smitten. Once they learn who the other is, they enter an odd contract. While the results are predictable, they're told in an engaging way that kept me hooked until the very last page.
