Book 3 of Lord's of Vice series, can be stand alone. Fletcher and Agnes are a great couple. Revisits characters from previous books.
Love the idea of a strong heroine who can care for herself. Makes unpopular decisions about how to live her life.

New to this author, I didn't realize this was part of a series before jumping in, and while there were a few events mentioned from the earlier books, that didn't take away from my enjoyment of this book

Fantastic historical romance.

I was three chapters in before I realized this was part of a series normally I become twitchy and cant read it till I’ve read the others but with this one I couldn’t put it down.
I love the story and the way she progresses the love story is beautiful, its heart-warming and any historical romance readers will enjoy this.
The Ladies of virtue is an amazing prospect and I hope to read more from them.
The only problem I found was at the end of chapter twenty she asks him to kiss her and they start making love but I was wondering why when she was still in the abductors house then I realise she was at her own home. It might be my ARC but its a bit disconnecting with the way the story goes I think they missed a large chunk of writing from it but apart from that I absolutely love this book and will be keeping an eye on her and putting her books on my tbr.
Thank you to Netgalley/ Robyn DeHart/entangled publishing, LLC for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

From the very moment Agnes Watkins walked into his life, Fletcher Banks, Earl of Wakefield, has wanted her. Agnes is not just beautiful, she's clever and determined. Despite her uncommon beauty, she refuses to conform to society's standards. She's also the sister of the man who holds Fletcher's career as a spy in his hands. And that makes her completely off-limits.
This was an ok read. I had some issues with Agnes and her mission as well as some issues with Fletcher. Plot wasn’t bad. Not sure if I’ll try this author again.

This book was really sweet. I shipped the two characters from the beginning, though I wish the guy had gotten his act together earlier and realized that he loved her and would sacrifice stuff for her. I haven't read the other books in the series, but I might now having read this one. And while it had spy stuff in it, it wasn't fully developed. I felt that the subplot should either have been taken out or fully developed.

Agnes and Fletcher’s story is the 3rd book in the Lords of Vice series; a standalone, happily ever after, historical romance with sizzle.
How does a rake make himself look favorable to “the one”, a lady of virtue, a lady with a jaded view of love because of her mother, when his job and his life have molded him into the lord of vice? Love her, protect her, show her how much she is worth.
This well written story, was a quick read containing intrigue, danger, learning self-worth, a secret admirer, romance and sizzle.
I look forward to reading more from this author.

I had never read any books from this author before and I really enjoyed it! I always love finding new favorite books/authors. Thoroughly enjoyed the couple, Agnes and Fletcher. They were well fleshed out and kept me entertained. Would highly recommend!

This was a new author for me, and I was pleasantly surprised. The story was beautifully written with wonderfully entertaining characters. I was drawn into the story very quickly and loved every minute of it. If you are a Historical Romance reader you are going to love this book! Well done! I will be reading more from this author.

The next installment of the beloved Lords of Vice series, this novel definitely does its predecessors justice. Well-written with dynamic characters, an interesting premises, and a romance to root for, it wants for nothing.

Sexy and heartwarming romance with charming characters made this romance a must read book for me. I adore a hero that is a sexy alpha male but has for long pined after the heroine. Fletcher is just this kind of a hero. He has loved Agnes from the first time he sees her but thinks he is not worth her so doesn't fight for her. Then when Agnes's life is in danger, he would do anything to protect her and hopefully win her back into his life. I love how enterprising Agnes is with building up her own business and being a part of the Ladies of Virtue. The only complaint I have with this series is that they Lady X mystery is unresolved in each story and seems to go nowhere. I felt like it was an unneeded part of the storyline and I wouldn't have even missed it in the story.

The Earl and the Reluctant Lady is an enjoyable addition to Robyn DeHart's Lords of Vice series that features Fletcher Banks, Earl of Wakefield. Fletcher is a member of the Seven and, as a rakish spy for the Crown, uses his charm and prowess with women to gain information.

He meets Agnes Watkins at a ball and there is a mutual attraction, but he doesn't realize she is the sister of his superior. When her brother threatens Fletcher's career as a spy if he goes after Agnes, he is forced to walk away as he is dependent on the income from his career.

Fast forward three years, and Agnes has joined and trained with the Ladies of Virtue and is determined to reform Fletcher. She takes him to task for his behavior and reputation as the Don Juan of London.

When Agnes' brother leaves town to investigate who is threatening the Ladies of Virtue, he asks Fletcher to watch over Agnes. Talk about asking the fox to guard the hen house!

Fletcher starts a courtship to protect Agnes and deter unwanted advances from men who think she is like her mother, who has had many lovers. Both realize how much they want each other and will do anything to be together - even defy Agnes' brother.

DeHart gives Fletcher and Agnes a steamy romance with a HEA that can be read as a stand alone; however, she also features characters from previous books and the continuing mystery of Lady X.

From the moment Fletcher Banks, Earl of Wakefield, sees Miss Agnes Watkins, his stomach does a flip-flop and he's enchanted with her. When he kisses her out in the garden, he's pretty sure, he'll never want another woman for the rest of his life, but life has a way of interfering. It turns out Agnes is his boss's sister and Christopher has forbidden Fletcher from ever touching her again or else he'll lose his position with the home office. With only a courtesy title, Fletcher has no choice but to back away from Agnes. He has no idea that she is captivated with him as well, but his cool behavior toward her in the years that pass convinces her, what she felt when Fletcher kissed her, was only in her mind. Can these two ever work past everything keeping them apart and finally declare their love for each other?

I truly enjoyed this book. Ms. DeHart writes wonderful characters full of heart and soul. There was enough saucy banter back and forth between Fletcher and Agnes throughout the book, but the fact that Agnes does not truly trust him lands her in all kinds of trouble. The plot moved along well, but I thought the villain was kind of dumb in the end. I won't say how because I don't want to spoil the book for any other readers. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Maybe we'll finally learn the identity of the mysterious Lady X.

I absolutely love this book! Agnes and Fletcher have a great story and Ms. DeHart does a wonderful job bringing these two together. This book will not disappoint.

What is Fletcher to do when the only woman for him (Agnes Watkins) is off limits. He can loose his job and everything he knows, however when his boss tells him his job is to watch over Agnes he is in for a real treat.
Agnes is just as smitten with Fletcher and can't imagine why he pretends to not be interested. When he finds out someone is sending her letters and other items his protectiveness comes out.

I thought this was a great story and watching the two of them fight their way to each other was intriguing.

3.5 stars! First of all, I think the cover for the book is simply gorgeous! It immediately draws the reader in.

I really enjoyed our two main characters, Agnes and Fletcher, as well as their slow burn romance. The book was very well paced and there was plenty of action throughout. I think my only gripe is that a kind of big plot point was never figured out/resolved, so unless there is going to be a sequel of some sort, i’m left feeling kind of confused.

Overall, I completely recommend this if you love historical romances set in societal London. I had a really enjoyable reading experience and am now interested to read more of DeHart’s works.

A standalone book that is wonderfully crafted and will get your attention and hold it. If you love historical romance, dive on in, this book convinced me that I should purchase DeHart's others in this series.

Oh my Lord Fletcher...What a great read! I really loved Agnes but strong women are a fave of mine! Lord Fletcher's character was so well done- made me laugh and shake my head at the same time. The Ladies of Virtue vs these Lords of Vice do not disappoint. Looking for a fun read with romance and of course a HEA this is it! (Check out the whole series to be honest!!)

This is the 3rd book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. Fletcher falls hard when he first sees Agnes but her brother doesn’t approve of the match. Three years later when he is assigned to protect her while her brother his away, those sparks come back. Good historical read with plenty of drama and suspense. The story is entertaining and I liked the characters. Enjoyable.

A swoony, sweet Regency romance. Love it!

I enjoyed the previous book in the Lords of Vice series, so I was really looking forward to this one. Fletcher made a good hero. He was tired of having to seduce women in his job, while he couldn't have the one woman he really wanted...who was the sister of his superior. The relationship of Fletcher and his grandfather, and that of Agnes and her mother, were quite interesting. I also enjoyed seeing characters from the previous book.

However, the book took place during the same time period as the previous book, so the story had a been-there-done-that vibe. Also, a mystery cliffhanger from the previous story was not resolved. My main issue, however, was the heroine. I just didn't particularly like her. Don't lecture the man about his vice (lust) when you suffer from the same one yourself...though it was only directed towards one man. The book was entertaining enough, though, that I want to read the next installment.
