The story continues for Anna and Sophie, picking up right at the cliff hanger in book 2. Anna isn’t sure if she likes Hudson or the mystery texter. Sophie has some hard choices to make. I am loving these short stories!! Looking forward to the final
book in the series.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.
This series is seriously hotting up! I've really enjoyed this new series by Bella Osborne. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that I think it's her best one yet! As I've said with all my other reviews on this new series, I absolutely love the cover. This one in particular is possibly my favourite, the blooming flowers and all their colours just make it so eye-catching and beautiful!
Onto the story itself, this one is where it really hots up. And in this one I absolutely fell in love with Bert! He broke my heart and I found my eyes welling up on more than one occasion with this lovely elderly man. As well as Bert, I also feel that we got to know all the other characters a whole lot more as well. I find myself relating to both Anna and Sophie on a much bigger scale than I was before and I'm enjoying reading about their issues and dramas!
I also find myself loving Maurice the cat and some other characters as well such as Hudson. However, I will say that I am a bit weary of Connor - I feel like he's hiding something big and I think we'll finally get to find out what in the final instalment! Which might I add, seriously cannot come quick enough. These novella's are so easy and enjoyable to read. They're quick and I find they're the perfect way to while away a few hours.
Overall, a fabulous addition to the series and I absolutely cannot wait to read the final one! I'm a bit gutted because I feel it's ended so quickly but so excited to see what's going to happen in the final novella! Thank you to the publisher for a chance to read this novel via Netgalley, which I have reviewed honestly.
This is Part 3 of the serialisation of Wildflower Park. I would definitely recommend reading these books in order as the story continues straight from where the previous part ended.
So we’re now over half way through the story! We have met the main characters, Anna and Sophie and we know what has happened in their lives up to now. As the story moves on, I finding myself loving both of these characters more and more! Anna is in a dilemma with what appears to be an abundance of men in her life! Liam, her ex, is trying his best to wheedle his way back into Anna’s good books, her mystery texter wants to meet and Hudson isn’t gay like she thought he was! Sophie (who still remains my favourite!) is having a crisis and is taking up residence in Anna’s spare room. Being heavily pregnant doesn’t really help in this crisis, and neither does Dave, Sophie’s husband! I have to admit though, I do like Dave and really do feel sorry for him…..he obviously has no clue what he’s even doing wrong!!
I cannot write a review though without mentioning Maurice the Cat! He really comes into his own in this book and I can just imagine him being a savvy big old boy who knows exactly what he wants and how to get it! I love how he comes and goes through the open window, until the cat flap appears, and I laughed my way through the part where everyone jumps up at the sound of the cat flap to give him praise, as this is exactly how I would be with my two cats!!
As its part of a four-parter, the book is short and sweet, absolutely perfect for getting through in an afternoon (which I did!!) Once again, it is left on a cliff hanger, and I can’t wait for the fourth and final part to find out what happens. It is a beautifully funny book, with plenty of laughs and lots of heart-warming moments. The writing is witty and sharp and I’m full of admiration (and a little bit of envy) of anyone who can write books that produce constant little chuckles all of the way through! Fabulous!!
I am absolutely in love with this series!!! It is fun and quirky and full of all of those wonderful ups and downs I expect from Bella Osbourne :c)
I cannot wait for the final installment :c)
And here we have the worst Part yet - but only because I now have to wait for Part Four to be released.
If the previous one with Sophie and Dave's troubles was a roller coaster, that's nothing compared to this.
I so want to tell you what went on but won't. Suffice to say, I feel like tracking down the author and stalking her until she lets me know how this ends.
Read, you must!
This is the third part of the four part series that I've read and I've absolutely loved each one of them. I like the style of writing, love the characters and the mix of humour and real life.
The only negative is now I'm desperately wanting to read part 4 and have a long time to wait until release. I'm wondering how quickly I will fall into part 4 after not reading the story for a while. I would rather have read all four parts in one go.
Great story though.
Sophie is staying with Anna while her children are on holiday with their grandparents. Dave is desperately trying to get Anna back but his attempts seem futile.
Anna has a big decision to make at work, a position in New York has come up through the restructure and merger and Hudson wants them both to go to scope out what needs to be done. The only problem is Anna has a phobia of heights and flying. Can Hudson persuade her to go?
Someone seems to be trying to remind Anna of something in her past she would rather forget., what is the secret she is hiding.
I can't wait for the last instalment!
Just when you think you know what this series is going to be like, it goes and does a spin on you. With every book, I've found myself liking the characters more and more (except for Connor, sorry, but I'm #teamHudson all the way). The Wildflower Park books almost remind me of those old serials. You know the ones, like Charles Dickens would do: right part of a story and stop it just as it gets good?
That might also explain why, with each of the novels I'm reading, I'm more keen to know what happens next. How do Sophie and Dave work things out? What exactly is behind Anna's fear of heights? There are so many things I would like to know, and Osborne so masterfully twirls and spins the storylines in and out of your reach so that, even if you think you almost have "it"? Whatever "it" may be? There's always something more about Wildflower Park that keeps everything going.
Rating: 3.5/5
Hurry up part 4!!!!! I am absolutely loving this book. Great characters and plot.. another cliffhanger just to kill u while waiting
After only just reading and reviewing ‘Wildflower Park’ part two I got straight onto reading part three. I just had to know what happens next as soon as possible. I absolutely love the cover of this part of the book, it’s vibrant and attractive, just completely draws you in.
It is really great to see Anna coming more out of her shell. She is speaking her mind to Liam, pushing Dave to sort his act out (will he or won’t he??) and really encouraging Sophie to give Dave another chance. I have fell in love with Anna’s relationship with Bert, it’s certainly not just about Maurice’s welfare anymore. It shows how kind and caring she is. I really want to be her best friend! I am also so proud of Anna for how supportive she is of Sophie, but I’m also not surprised as it’s just the type of person she is.
This part of ‘Wildflower Park’ certainly had me in hysterics! (Bra gate and Arlo’s homework incident) You really need to read it for yourself to see what I am on about 😊 I found myself wondering how things were going to work out with Anna’s mystery man and of course navigating her working relationship with Hudson. I wasn’t expecting that sort of cliffhanger ending to part three (I won’t spoilt it for you but please read it!) I have my fingers crossed I have the opportunity to read the final part of this beautifully written book.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed ‘Wildflower Park’ part three - Oopsy Daisy and I really would like to know what happens next for Anna and Sophie. I give this part of the book a very well deserved 5*/5*
Thank you to Bella Osborne and Avon Books UK for an advanced copy of this book.
This review is for the first 3 parts of this series....which could easily have made one novel. That is basically my only complaint for this series; Some laugh-out-loud humour is provided by the 2 main characters, Anna & Sophie, as well as some very heart-warming moments. Being young and single is not all it's cracked up to be, but marriage is not always a happy ever after either.
Part 3 of 4 of a series. Hope when all done it can be put into a single book. Would be easier to read. A continuation of the lives of Anna and Sophie. When Sophie leaves Dave and moves in with Anna things take on a different take on things. More with the mysterious texter Connor, who starts to give off weird vibes. And more with Hudson being more friendly. Can't wait to read part 4, and hope it comes soon. Highly recommend.
Part three of the serial which I have been eagerly awaiting. The story develops nicely with one main strand being tied off. The final part can’t come soon enough for me. This is a lovely gentle story which enjoyably describes friendships and a slow burning romance.
Loved it!! So happy Bert was back. I love the chats he has with Anna, I keep hoping she will smuggle Maurice into see him. Although she would probably need a very large suitcase.
This book picked right where the last one ended and Anna realizes she hasn't been burglarized, instead she has a new roommate. Dave does all he can to woo his wife back, Anna has a great friendship with Hudson, Anna tries to decide if she is seeing Connor and is also trying to get over her fear of flying and heights. The cliffhanger to this book was just too much!!! I want to know what Hudson wanted to tell Anna and I'm guessing a new baby will be arriving soon.
I loved the story, characters and writing style. Connor gives me the creepy vibe. I have a feeling he's not who he appears to be and might be linked to what happened to Anna in college. It's just a hunch and I could be totally wrong. Loved how the uneaten cupcakes spelled You Poo Elvis. The scene with Maurice and his new kitty door was hilarious, especially with the mouse, Connor, umbrella and undies. I wonder if Liam will make another appearance, he's definitely not missed. This book was over too quick, I love reading about Anna and Sophie. I definitely recommend this book (after you read the first two) and can't wait for the last book in the series. I love the covers of the books.
Thanks to NetGalley, Avon Books UK and the author, Bella Osborne, for a free electronic ARC of this novel.
Enjoying this book and this part is left on a cliff-hanger. You suspect Connor is up to no good and hope that Anna and hudson end up together. I am finding the character of Sophie a bit annoying, but like Anna
