This was a fun and humorous read about Jen, her incredibly boring and annoying boyfriend/fiance Robert, and Jen's sister Lydia. I loved that Jen was a brewer because that's something you never see in novels. I also loved the descriptions and imagery throughout the novel, but especially when they were in Denmark.

I can't say that I loved this novel because of the basic premise of cheating (no matter how small), as well as, I felt like huge portions of the story dragged on more than necessary. And to be honest, Jen started annoying me to death!

Nevertheless, this is a good rom-com that I would recommend to fans of this genre.

I wish there was a little more of a love story in this novel. Based on the title you would think it would overwhelmingly be a love story, but a lot of the story focused on her dull relationship with her fiancé, her relationship with her sister and her career.. There were some cute moments with the love interest but I feel this novel is a more women’s fiction and a less a romance.

Probably the Best Kiss in the World is a fun, slow burn romance about learning to trust yourself and going after what you want.
Meet Jen. A beer brewing magician who loves to-do lists, being in control, and is all too happy to skate through life. Jen is put in a tough situation when her long time boyfriend proposes and starts mapping out a future Jen isn't so sure she wants. The book follows Jen as she comes to terms with the consequences of chasing her dreams, over doing what she "thinks" will be best.

The book is told in Jen's POV in third person. Unfortunately, third person is my least favorite to read. I was so confused after reading the first chapter because so many new people and story lines were being introduced all at once. It was hard to keep track of who was who and how they were all related to each other. I didn't get fully sucked into this book until around 40%, and I mostly kept reading because the story line was intriguing enough to look over the parts of the book I didn't enjoy. Waiting to see what Jen's decision would be on Robert, her job, and whether or not to pursue her passion held my interest in the end.

I personally couldn't relate to Jen or her thought process at all. Most of the time, her thinking and reasoning had me annoyed and shaking my head. She was overbearing, snobby, and unrealistic.
Her roommate and sister, Lydia, wasn't any better. I did find that I enjoyed Lydia's story line more, however her attitude irked me sometimes.

I know this may be controversial, and this is just my personal opinion, but I don't like when authors skip over sex scenes. Obviously, it can be as in as little detail as the author wants or feels comfortable with. However, I don't like when you can't be sure whether or not they were intimate. I need something at least! Especially in this somewhat slow burn situation. I was so looking forward to the part when the characters finally came together. I was waiting for fireworks! The only reason I figured out something had happened, is because the main character walked downstairs and she was trying to comb out her "sex hair".

Here's what I really did like about the book: The story line. It was totally new and fresh. It had the perfect amount of drama, adventure, and lots of background story lines. The aspect of Jen being a brewster was so fun and different. Robert's sisters were a hoot and their disaster of a business added a hilarious aspect to the story.
This book had travel, romance, family drama, following your passion, and taking risks. For me, this isn't the kind of romance that makes me head over heels obsessed with a book, however, it was a really amazing book and there are many people out there who I know would thoroughly enjoy this. I'd recommend this to people who are fans of contemporary with toned-down romance.

Having never read anything from this author before, I was very eager to get stuck in!!
Jen has a very boring, mundane life and when a hen-do trip to Copenhagen sparks something within her, she begins to question everything she thinks she knows about herself.
I loved reading this book & everything about it & I thought that Pernille Hughes has written the perfect romcom, that has the most perfect balance of love, humour, friendship and family.
I loved all the characters, the main ones and the supporting ones were also amazing, especially Celia - she reminded me of a real-life Hyacinth Bucket!!!
This book had me laughing a lot and I would highly recommend it!

A five star read. I loved the authors writing style and I thought this story was really fresh and original. The author included just the right amount of information about beer making to make it interesting (and having worked in the industry, completely authentic) without bashing the reader over the head with too much knowledge.

The story bowled along at a cracking pace and I devoured this in just two days. The book was well written and witty, and the characters were particularly engaging. I particularly liked the sub plot of the younger sister and the twist (not really a twist more of a revelation) was shocking and brilliant and moved this story to another level.

This is the first I've read of this author and won't be the last. I'm off to download Sweatpants at Tiffany's because I've enjoyed her writing style so much.

Jen is a planner and a list maker. She doesn’t do well when things don’t follow a logical progression. When Jen finds herself fished out of a canal in Copenhagen by Jakob, Jen’s logical and ordered way of thinking becomes tested. Will she finally let her feelings guide her decision making or is it just best to go with the safer option of following her mind?

I loved the premise of this book. The idea of a heroine who was a brewer and meeting her love interest in a Copenhagen canal? Count me in. I loved that this book had many facets to it: love, family drama, friendship drama, finding of oneself. What I found lacking was the love story. I found it getting lost and overshadowed by all the other themes running in the story line. I loved Jen and Jakob, so I really wanted to see them interact more, but it seemed their story line came second to the sister storyline.

Though I liked the depth of the story, at times I felt it got long winded and repetitive. I would lose focus, but then Jakob would make an appearance again and my interest would pick back up. Overall, it was a nice read. I just wish since it was billed as a rom-com that the love story would have played a bigger role in the plot.

Absolutely loved this novel! Excellent character development, the storyline was fluid and kept me in suspense and wanting to learn more about the characters.

The heroine is into brewing beer--and it made for a fascinating, engaging read! I really liked Jen, the heroine in this book. Such a fun, sweet read!

First things first....I SO did not look at the epage count when I signed up for this one! Nothing against it, or larger books in general, but when ereading, I tend to focus more on shorter reads, since I prefer paper to electronic print. Alas, this one was only optioned for ebook in my neck of the woods, so ereading it was and I don't regret it one bit!

Right from the start, I was TOTALLY enjoying it...well, once I got my head around the language because yeah, US versus UK, there are definitely differences in the phrases and words used! For example, hen-party versus bachelorette party..."taking the piss" versus "making fun of"...and so on. Nothing too dramatic, but enough to need an adjustment. Anywho...the story itself was definitely a keeper. Two sisters left to fend for each other after the parents pass in particular tragedy, leaving one without use of their full self, and the other shouldering the weight of BOTH their worlds. Did either one ask for their new role? No...and in a rather funny twist...neither really needed to make the huge adjustments they did, but rather openly talk to one another and work together to help reach each other's goals.

I liked the sister's sense of independence and yet how they were solidly there for each other. I was laughing my butt off at the boyfriend's display of manliness with the mini-blow torch (LOL!), and rolling at her sister's reaction to their "news". Various assorted noises of choking and/or spewing liquid out ones nose ACTUALLY HAPPENED when I learned of the next big organic, natural, good for me-you-and-the-earth trend Jen was to market. (Seriously...OMG!) The moment we learned what the title was all about, I was swooning! Really, there's no way around it. It probably was THAT good...as was the "meet cute" moment for the ages - picture it...a dunk in a canal, fished out by a Copenhagen hottie, and realizing you're not only dripping wet, but unfortunately...skirtless! *face palm* As the story continues, their lives begin to both twine AND unravel, for better and worse. It's not everyday that you get to reset your future...but the amount of emotionally charged baggage that goes along with those choices can be difficult to carry.

All in all, I really loved this one. The characters, their struggles, the ups, the downs, the push, the pull...the MAGIC. There was steam but nothing over the top and yeah...the title scene is DEFINITELY worth noting (twice even!), but it doesn't stop there! It gives you this major TADA moment, and then continues to build, so that by book's end, you're one satisfied reader...or at least I was, and I'm assuming you'll be too! Recommended for older teens through adults who love a little life, a little fun, and a touch of steam in their reading!

This is an adorable, charming and heart felt novel. Yes, it is a fun rom-com but it has even more depth than that. We follow Jen who is a control freak like no other. After dealing with some difficult and life changing circumstances, fear has caused her to take control of her life as well as many others. She is a planner and a list lover. That being said she is content to live her life playing it safe. She is dating someone that shares her organized approach to life and it isn't until he proposes to her that her life gets turned upside down. Suddenly Jen is no longer calling the shots and she is learning to change the way she thinks about everything in life. I love her relationship with her sister and her friends. I also really appreciate the character growth. We see Jen go through some really tough self evaluations. She starts to see herself in a new way and while it is painful to read, it is also very realistic. She also has a love and passion for brewing beer and it is something of a family legacy passed along from her father. I love the puns and play on words. There are parts that I didn't like as well, I am not a fan of cheating and neither is Jen. But isn't it amazing how we can rationalize bad behavior in ourselves while holding others to a higher standard? It is a great book with lots of funny, adorable moments and heartfelt ones as well.

Solid 3,5 stars for this wonderful love story.

Jen likes to brew beer as her dad used to do. This is her true passion but she finds herself trapped in another job that she hates and taking care of her sister. She has accepted her life as it is and has a boring boyfriend, Robert, that might not be what she needs or wants but she just goes with the flow because he is a good catch and his dad approved of him.

However things in life are not always as easy and we have to push ourselves out of the comfort zone.

Jen starts to figure out that she might have misinterpreted many things in life and reevaluates the meaning of the word happiness as well as to let go from some of her OCD

Such a cute, funny and interesting love story with some family drama as well that made it a unique book.

Such an easy and lovely love story in a town that I want to visit no less and try everything, especially after reading this book.
The writing was great, the characters were interesting because they are different from what I usually read but love them nevertheless.
Will recommend this book for sure and I know what to read next time when I’m in the mood for a funny great book.

Oh I absolutely loved this book! Probably the Best Kiss in the World is an absolute corker that made me smile and made me laugh and was such a joy to read.

You get to know so much about the delightful characters and their lives. It was very interesting to see how the relationship between the two sisters, Jen and Lydia developed and how despite Jen being far too controlling, Lydia took charge and showed just how well she could do despite everything she had been through. Go Lydia, you are an inspiration! I very much enjoyed the beer brewing angle as very unique and I learnt alot about craft brewed beer! The book is set in Denmark’s capital, the wonderful Copenhagen where a wonderful love story and adventure starts on Jen's hen weekend ....

Jen loves to be organised and she thrives on the control she has in her life, although the control she has over her sister is far too much. Living in such a digital age, where Jen can be so organised by phone and reminded of all events and have every app she could ever possibly want to hand, it is a huge blow to her when she drops her phone into the canal ... or so she thinks. What happens next changes her life! We rely on our phones and technology so much these days.

I am so pleased Jen and Jakob got together - I was rooting for them throughout the book and I am so pleased they got their Happy Ever After which they both so thoroughly deserved.

Sometimes the life you have may not be the life you want and when you are out of your comfort zone, sometimes you see exactly where you want to be and who you want to be with! Everyone must embrace life, and tackle and try and overcome the challenges that come their way. If you have a dream, then follow your dream, follow your passion and do what makes you happy. Life is short, live it!

I definitely recommend this book while eating cinnamon swirls and drinking some well known Danish lager (which the title is a take on) - although it must be from a brown bottle! The perfect combination for the perfect romantic novel!

This is the first book I have read by Pernille Hughes but I definitely want to now read Sweatpants at Tiffanie’s - I totally recommend Probably the Best Kiss in the World - containing all the finest ingredients for a cracking read with a wonderful hoppy happy ending.

I think this is a perfect Summer reading, light, sweet, funny and a little touching. Jen is the center of the story and we share her vital journey from her very well organised life to a messy, exciting and happy one.
Although I liked Jen, I must say I loved Yakob, he's the most charming character of the book, the one who lights the pages everytime he appears. Sadly, he appears very few times and his love story with Jen, though very sweet, it's not a central part of the narration, so the story never hooked me entirely.
I loved the brewing part (I enjoy knowing how things are made) but it seemed too long for me, I found the book more a love story between Jen and beer than anything else. And everything work and love related is so cliched... Robert and his family are like caricatures, never felt like real people to me. On the other hand, Lydia is a great character, a brave girl who is an example for all of us.
But every weak part of the book was forgotten every time Yakob appeared. As I said before, he was who stole my heart and I enjoyed a lot everytime he showed up. I wished this book were a more romantic one...
Overall, it's a enjoyable reading, sweet, funny and light, perfect for a sunny afternoon (with a beer by your side 😊).
Definitely, I'm going to read more books by Pernille Hughes, I think she can became a solid name in the romantic literature creating stories I can enjoy a lot.

This was such a cute book. I loved that Jen was into brewing beer and not wine and vineyards- it was such a nice change of pace. I received this book as an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. Honestly, I will be telling people to be sure and grab this when it is publushed!

This was a good book but it drags on just a bit too much. Overall, it was a good story and by the end I was throughly disappointed it was over. It was just a little too predictable and not enough depth to the characters. The ending was worth it though so if you start reading it, don't stop when it starts to drag because the ending is worth it. I am grateful to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Who wouldn't want that? How adorable is that title.

This cute rom-com was quite an easy and quick read for me once I got in to it. The first few chapters I found hard going.

We follow Jen who brought up her younger disabled sister after a tragic accident saw them lose both their parents. She has her life meticulously planned and lists of her lists, that is until her dependable (and boring) boyfriend proposes and she accidentally says yes.

Whilst on her hen do in Copenhagen she has to make a choice. Good old dependable Robert, or a whole new life.

I didn't always like Jen. Her decisions made you want to scream at the book and shake her. Her sister, Lydia, was just perfect. She shows that being disabled doesn't need to hold you back. I found her much more interesting and would have loved to have read more about her spunky character.

I also really liked that Jen's hobby was a more male orientated one. Pushing boundaries and unconventional.

In short this book is about finding yourself, not living in the past, embracing life and 'following the passion'.

A light-hearted fun read which has you chuckling at times. Easy to pick up and get lost in.

This was so cute! It took a bit to get in into it, as Jen is a bit of a prat (her words, not mine), but really addicting once you really get into it.

Probably the Best Kiss in the World is a heart warming and fun Rom Com, that will sweep you along.

Jen is stuck in a rut without really knowing she's in one.
Jen has raised her sister Lydia since a tragic accident left her sister disabled and lead to her parents death.
The only stable thing in her life is her dependable boyfriend Robert. Well that is until he proposes to her and threatens their safe relationship.

So doing what any good sister would do, they bundle Jen with a sack over her head and prepare her for a mapcap Hen Do in Copenhagen.
Lydia doesn't think Jen should be settling for Robert, she believes she needs more fun!

But can Copenhagen offer Jen a new outlook on life?
Will she go back home ready to settle for the dependable Robert?
Or will the magic of Copenhagen and a sexy stranger offer her a chance of happiness and romance?

I thoroughly enjoyed this uplifting read, it's a wonderful story of taking risks, Friendship, sibling bonds, finding love, discoveries and new beginnings.
Filled with plenty of mishaps, mayhem, a few juicy twists, laugh out loud moments, romance and beer!
The Characters are strong, relatable and I loved Jen and Lydia's bond, it warmed my heart and reminded me of me and my Lil Sis.
Lydia is a strong and inspiring character and it made such a refreshing change to have a disabled character represented with such passion and zest for life. For this I thank you!

Probably the Best Kiss in the World is an uplifting, feel good Rom Com that I highly recommend.
