I keep trying to enjoy steampunk type novels - and I keep coming to the same conclusion. They just aren't my cup of tea. That doesn't mean they are bad, jus that they are not something I can totally enjoy. I think Railsea has some tricky dialogue and I think the pacing is a little off. However, for some fantasy fans I think this book will be something special.
