"18 Acres of England" is not really my cup of tea. While the premise was interesting, I think that the overall story didn't really work. It seemed a bit rushed at times and the characters didn't seem all too interesting. It certainly could have been better plotted out.
Great novel, highly recommend for those who enjoy the genre. Will be recommending for immediate purchase.
Thankyou to NetGalley, BooksGoSocial and the author, Chris Oswald, for the opportunity to read a digital copy of 18 Acres of England in exchange for an honest, unbiased opinion.
I was excited to receive a copy of this book as the premise had me intrigued. Unfortunately, while this was a good read, I felt it could have been so much better. The storyline seemed rushed in parts while in others, it was very slow. 2.5 stars.
Interesting premise, but the plot is separated into two stories that don't seem to connect. The Story about the treaty and the Story about Dakota in prison are only connected by the fact that it is her Thesis. Some of the characters are a Little one dimensional, there could have been so much more done with the Williams. Who were they and what was their real interest? It was an opportunity missed, like most of the book. It was an ok read that could have done better.
