52 Weeks Through the Psalms was a fine devotional. I liked how each devotional included a Psalm and it was easy to read. I did think that some of the devotions were a bit short at times, but I did still enjoy the book overall. It was nice to have a devotional that featured the Psalms.

These devotions were well written. I was expecting more than 52 devotions. I was hoping to have an entire year's worth.

A fitting accompaniment to 52 weeks through the Psalms. Covering the same Psalms.
I liked this book.
I was given this book by Netgalley and the publisher. This is my voluntary review.

I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Round about the time this book was made available on NetGalley, was the same time my prayer group started with a challenge to read a chapter of Psalms every week. I was delighted to have gotten the opportunity to read and review 52 Weeks Through the Psalms Devotional written by James Merritt and downloaded it immediately.

This Devotional, compared to many other devotionals, offers weekly readings as opposed to a daily guide. Each week starts with a bible reference which is then explained in further detail leaving you with time to pray and ponder on your weeks reading.

The devotionals are well written and easy to follow. The explanations are insightful and oftentimes messages are relayed in a way you never interpreted it before.

As I had to read through it in order to provide my review, I could not enjoy it as much as if I had a year to complete it. Slowly taking in each weeks topic and basing prayers on that. I have taken 2019 to start this devotional from the beginning again, and reading it as intended. Therefore, getting the full fruits from this blessing.

I highly recommend this devotional.

With a devotion for each week of the year, this short book contains 52 short but meaningful devotions from the Psalms. Each devotion begins with a verse, many of which are very familiar, and is followed by a short explanation of the meaning of that verse. There are also challenges and questions to the reader that encourage them to think about how that verse could become more meaningful in their own life.

My initial impression of this weekly devotional was that it was extremely superficial, but as I read on, I realized that most of the devotions were much deeper than the first few. This short book offers a bible verse from the book of Psalms, followed by a very practical and meaningful short exposition of that verse.
This book is very short. I was able to read it all in less than three hours.

Psalms as all the books are amazing but when you break them down into devotionals like this book does with Psalms you see what each book brings to the table. There are 52 chapters divided into five segments with scripture passage, for a day. All the chapters end with something to use to start a prayer and a question to make you think about the lesson.

This devotional has a daily bible verse from the book of Psalms and a devotion that follows along with it. It is very well written and easy to understand. If you love the book of Psalms, like I do, you will really enjoy this devotional. Thank you Harvest House Publishers via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.
