Loved loved loved!
"He made me feel alive. Then killed my soul in one fell swoop."
When Mackenzie is jilted at the altar, she decides to go ahead on her honeymoon to hide herself away from the limelight. When she makes an instant connection with a gorgeous stranger on the plane, she throws caution to the wind and gives herself to him. When he disappears out of her life the next day, she never expects to find herself working for him. However, he appears to have had a personality transplant. Gone was the sexy, fun stranger, and in his place was a hostile, angry boor.
"The woman could make a man cut his own heart out for a taste of her special brand of sin."
Slade is having a break before starting a new job. He's also escaping the limelight for a while. A one-night stand that meant more than it should becomes the butt of his anger and the reason for his grief. When the woman appears in his life and his home, he seethes with hate and he wants nothing to do with her, however, his tenderer feelings have a knack for getting in the way.
"I wouldn't survive leaving her a second time without losing my mind - my soul - my heart."
Loved this story! It was easy to read with fab characters. Mackenzie is such a good person. She's sassy when she needs to be, but my heart went out to her for her loneliness and her desire to be loved and wanted for herself. Slade was irrational in his grief but I enjoyed his journey back to a good place with the banter he has with his friends, and the way that Mackenzie takes care of him.
This story was humorous, sexy and pulled on my heartstrings.
4.5☆
Risky Play was just so darn good! I just really loved the story, it was really sweet and I loved the emotions behind it. Slade and Mackenzie just sucked me in and I became so invested in them. They are both genuinely good people, despite Slade's attempts to make you think otherwise. I love the chemistry that they have and the draw to each other. They are really well developed characters. I just devoured this book!!! So darn good!
Rachel Van Dyken is one of my favorite authors to read. From start to finish, my heart belongs to the characters she creates and the dramas they face. Risky Play is no exception. Slade, I admit is a little hard to love, but who really ever is when they're nursing a broken heart. Mackenzie is the type of heroine, I root for. She's finding her footing after numerous upheavals in her personal life. There were times I just wanted to hug her and assure her that life would get better. There were many moments were Slade needed a good throttling, but a good author, doesn't make it easy to get to the happy ending. Once you get there, a good author makes you glad you stayed. I was glad I stayed.
When Mack and Slade meet it’s explosive. Seriously, these two broken people, who are in search of a life change, experience the highest highs and the lowest lows…all within hours. And, when it ends just as suddenly as it began, the reader is left confused and curious. Will these two come back together and, if so, how? Well, the author has a unique storyline here and as we see more and more interactions, we discover, just as the characters do, that this relationship was meant to be. But, before we get there, there’s plenty of great banter, humor, and drama to make the story even more interesting.
I must say that it took me a bit of time to warm up to both Mack and Slade but, once I did, I was rooting for them hard! The sexy, famous soccer player can be crude and rude but there are reasons for that and he touched my heart as he began to see the error of his ways. These two definitely had chemistry and I enjoyed both their arguments and their romance. What I liked the most about this book was the character development. These two grew throughout the story and ended up being very well rounded and real.
Ms. Van Dyken also gives us some great secondary characters here. Both Matt and Jagger brought humor and energy to the book and I’m hoping that we’ll get to hear their stories as well. Overall, I enjoyed this book and think that it’s a great start to this new series. Looking forward to whatever the author has up her sleeve next!
Two people who seem to have everything find themselves at their lowest points when a near-death experience has them clinging to each other in a moment that changes their lives irrevocably. The road to HEA doesn’t go smoothly for these two though as his grief has him pushing her away at every turn while her vulnerabilities and battered self-esteem has her doubting every feeling he arouses in her. Oodles of sexual tension, witty banter, and lots of push and pull moments eventually has their one-night stand taking them from friends to lovers in a hard-fought journey to HEA that had me rooting for them every step of the way.
Mackenzie DuPont’s life seemed all mapped-out with her and family friend Alton destined to marry one day and take her family’s winery to the top. Being with Alton was like being with a friend, every part of her life entwined with his, so she felt lost when he left her at the altar. It was a moment of shame (in front of their social circle and the media) that had her wanting to hide as she felt lacking in some way. Months of sadness and constant introspection led her to Puerto Vallarta where she meets a sexy man who helps her start living again before breaking her heart too. With her ex still employed at the family winery, along with his new girlfriend, what was once a haven now feels like a betrayal that she isn’t ready to deal with. Taking a job that’s dramatically different from what those in her circle usually takes has her coming face to face with the mystery man who’s now angry and bitter and sets both of them on a path of healing that’s raw and painful but empowering nonetheless. Mack’s a likable heroine who was betrayed by not only a man she saw as a lover, but also as a friend. Alton made sure that he was the center of her world and then pulled the rug out from under her. It was a blow to not only her heart but to her soul, making her feel that she’s not good enough and not worthy of love. Her one-night stand with Slade made her feel wanted and powerful which is why his walking away hurt so bad. Their reunion was just as hurtful as his words and deeds cut deep, making her again feel unworthy. I hated him for it too but applauded her reaction to it as she gave as good as she got. She finally stood up for herself in a defining moment that set her and Slade on equal footing and gave them a chance at HEA. Mack was clearly broken down at the start of the story and with each turn of the page she slowly picked herself up and dusted herself off. No matter how hurtful Slade was to Mack she was still able to forgive him, and help him through his own pain, and this too spoke of her strong inner-strength and made me like her all the more.
Readers first glimpse of Slade Rodriguez is of a man also betrayed by love as his fiancee got pregnant with his best friend’s child which led him to the bold decision to leave everything behind to start over in the US. As a star soccer player every move he makes is watched by the world which is why the sexy woman not recognizing him while on vacation has him immensely attracted to her. His ex and far too many other women have only wanted him for what he is instead of who he is behind the athletic mask. He’s drawn to Mack as she brings light and joy to his sadness and frustration, even though they don’t know each other’s real names. A moment of heaven leads to tragedy though and has him leaving without a word. The loss of the one person to support him unconditionally threw him into a very dark place, a place that left him unrecognizable to himself, that had him saying the most hurtful things to Mack the moment she unexpectedly shows up on his doorstep as his new assistant. Slade was truly awful when Mack first started working for him and it made me doubt that he would ever be worthy of someone so kindhearted. Each day that she stood up for herself, each moment that he thought only of her instead of his pain, brought him back to the endearing and flirtatious man he was during their time away from the world. He truly humbled himself to her, exposed his vulnerabilities, and slowly but surly he redeemed himself in my eyes and I could see why he and Mack were so right for each other. Despite those bad behaviors Slade’s one super sexy soccer player, competitive with a bit of alpha that shows up when teammate Jagger shows an interest in Mack. His interactions with his lovable dog Alfie also warmed my heart and showed him more than capable of loving someone despite how angry he became through the heartbreaking death and betrayal that befell his life.
When it comes to Ms. Van Dyken’s writing I can always count on her for crackling dialogue teeming with sexual tension and this series starter had just that and more as Mack and Slade were a realistic couple whose emotions were on display for all to see. They weren’t afraid to show their vulnerabilities to each other and it made for a strong foundation to build their instant attraction into friendship into a HEA. It wasn’t an easy journey though as jealousy, and the truly unlikable Alton, caused a few speed bumps along the way before reaching the immensely satisfying final chapter and the charming epilogue. Mack and Slade were fun and flirty, crackling in their banter, while sizzling in the bedroom and out, and I enjoyed their journey even when I wanted to slap Slade for his bad behavior. Alongside this appealing main couple was an equally likable cast of secondary characters who are mostly in Slade’s inner circle. Slade’s agent Matt definitely left his mark as the playful yet supportive friend who was a shark when it came to business. He didn’t hesitate when calling out Slade on his bad behavior and the mocking way he did so showed their deep decades-long friendship. Slade’s interactions with teammate Jagger were much more antagonistic as years of battles on the soccer field bled out off the field in regards to Jagger’s obvious attraction to Mack. I enjoyed the fiery side Jagger engendered in Slade and the push it gave him to step up and be the kind of man Mack needed. Jagger’s feelings for Mack endeared him to me as he cared for her for who she was inside, not for her family name. He would’ve been happy if their friendship had evolved into something more and it warmed my heart that all he wanted was for her to be happy...even if it was with Slade. I long to learn more about him as the glimpses we got of him, and his past with Slade, are truly tempting. On a whole this is a well-crafted series starter with a decadently delightful balance between romance and athleticism. Fans of HEAs will be thrilled by this book’s near-perfect conclusion and counting down the days until the next installment.
3.75 stars--RISKY PLAY is the first instalment in Rachel Van Dyken’s contemporary, adult RED CARD sports, romance series. This is thirty-year olds, professional soccer player Slade Rodriguez, and heiress / sommelier Mackenzie Dupont’s story line.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Mackenzie and Slade) RISKY PLAY follows the building but contemptuous relationship between thirty-year olds, professional soccer player Slade Rodriguez, and heiress Mackenzie Dupont. Growing up as part of the Dupont Wine Dynasty didn’t protect Mackenzie from humiliation when her fiancé walked away, leaving a heart broken Mackenzie to pick up the pieces of her life. Needing time away, six months later, Mackenze went on her honeymoon alone, only to meet the man with whom she would fall in love but a man who, hit it and quit it, their first night together. Enter professional soccer player Slade Rodriguez. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between Slade Rodriguez, and the potential fall-out as both Slade and Mackenzie’s pasts are determined to destroy our leading couple.
Mackenzie Dupont worked side by side with the man she was going to marry but when her father refused to let the man go, Mackenzie went in search of other employment only to come face to face with her one-night stand. Slade Rodriguez’ life fell apart while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta but blaming the woman with whom he would fall in love would cause all kinds of problems for our story line heroine.
The relationship between Mackenzie and Slade begins as a vacation affair that quickly turns into a one-night stand. Waking up alone, Mackenzie struggled with what happened and why. Slade Rodriguez’ call from home found our hero destroying what little self-esteem Mackenzie had left when he vanished in the night without explanation or good bye. The $ex scenes are passionate and intimate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to a colorful and energetic cast of secondary and supporting characters including high-profile sports agent Matt Kingston; Slade’s on and off the field nemesis Jagger Kozlov, as well as Mackenzie’s mother and father, and Mackenzie’s ex-fiance Alton Davis.
RISKY PLAY is a story of family, friendship, betrayal, power and control. The character driven premise is fast paced with a little bit of fun, snark, heart break and romance. The characters are charismatic and animated; the romance is sweet, sassy and seductive. I did have to question the number of times our heroine had tears in her eyes, wet cheeks, or was about to cry- she should have been dehydrated by the end of the story; and thirty year old virgins are only found in romance story lines ;)

I freaking loved this book. I haven't read much of Rachel's books, but damn, Risky Play is making me regret that decision. The writing was nothing short of amazing, which is something I've noticed in the books I have read of her's. The characters were so lovable it hurt to watch them suffer. I even loved Slade when he was running for asshole of the year. He spent most of the book a bit confused. He lets the hate and the anger take over his body when his heart and soul wants desperately to let Mack into his life. The war fighting in him made my heart break. Watching him finally let himself to mourn and come back to life pieced my heart back together. I adored Mack's tenacity. After being ditched at the altar, she bounces back by losing her virginity to the hunk she met on the plane. Because why not? When shit hits the fan afterwards, she's left licking her wounds and stand strong against the men who broke her heart. One is gone for good. The other still has a chance with her as soon as he removes his head from his ass.
The loved every damn page of Risky Play. Even when Slade was an epic asshole, I still loved him. That's a feat only a few authors have accomplished. I loved him despite his flaws. Mack, I loved the moment we meet her. I'm hoping the next book in the series is a certain teammate of Slades. Cannot wait!!
Risky Play was quite the roller coaster ride! I am a big fan of author Rachel Van Dyken, so of course, I jumped at the chance to read this new series. I had no idea what I was getting into!
Slade was every woman’s dream; he was hot, tender, and caring. Then he became the biggest jerk in the planet: rude, angry, and almost emotionally and verbally abusive. I kept waiting for him to redeem himself and then began to despair that he never would.
Mackenzie was sweet, a bit naive, and so vulnerable. My heart broke for her over and over. Nobody ever seemed to put her first: not herself, not her dad, and not her ex-fiancé. She deserved better.
The plot was unique. Two strangers had a one-night stand. Then suddenly they are forced to work together and have a second chance at love and life... I’ve definitely never read anything like it. I devoured the pages in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
Risky Play is book one in the Red Card series. I look forward to the next book, which I really hope is Jagger’s chance at love. I’d also love to see Alton get what he deserves in book two. I can’t wait for more!

"Thank you for not giving up on me."
I can't lie!!!! I'm always enjoying a story by RVD!!! And i liked this story, as well!!!
It was sweet! It was fun! It was interesting!!!
I liked the main characters very much and I'm wondering for others too, especially Matt and Jagger!!!
I already know that the second book would be about Matt, but hell, i need Jagger's story too!!!
Please, Rachel, please!!!
I didn't like him in the begining, but he grew on me!!!!
It all started with a groom ditching his virgin bride on the altar...
That said bride, Mackenzie was her name, six months later, she's deciding to take the honeymoon that she had planned by herself...
A fight to Mexico, a goergeous man beside her on the plane, an engine failure, a first last kiss before they crush, fake names...
And those two spent a life changing experience together in one day and night...
And then Mackenzie woke up in a bed... Alone!!!!
"Why was I never enough to fight for?"
One month forward, their lives is about to collide again...
Slade had changed his whole life in an instant since something bad happened to him, and that was the reason that he flew away to Mexico to get his head clean before the season start again... Slade is a world wide known football player who has tranferred from Europe to U.S.
That night with that stranger was a night that he'll never forgot, but that night tragedy hit him and he left that girl behind...
Unfortunately, he doesn't want to see her again!!! And now, he is about to take the biggest surprise of his life...
His new assistant, is the girl that he left behind and the problems are starting...
"She was the only woman on the planet who didn't want something from me...
She'd hugged me, touched me, and didn't do it for herself.
It was for me.
In fact, everything she did was for me.
And I fucked it all up by not only putting the cockblock in place, but making her feel less than.
Less than.
When she'd only been more to me."
Mackenzie, after her wedding's fiasko, wants nothing to do with her father's business, since her ex is being a big part of their company...
So, for some months, she is deciding to do something entirely different than her greatest love!!!
Imagine her surprise when her new employer is the man that she can't forget!!! And that man doesn't resemble the man in Mexico at all!!!! This one is grumpy, rude, angry and with behavior problems!!!
"He'd hurt me.
He'd made me feel insecure.
Ugly.
He changed the way I saw myself.
He didn't deserve my help.
But I was going to give it anyway.
Because it was the right thing to do."
So what will happen with those two???
Slade has absurb angry feelings toward Mac, but still... He is finding himself drown to her.
Mac still wants him, but he can not trust him anymore...
Well, i liked them both a lot... Slade was too sweet in the beginning and it seemed a little bit unreal to me, but then i liked the grumpy and asshole side of him... Even though, his "dislike" for Mackenzie was totally insane...
I understand that he was in a bad place at the moment, but Mac was his cure!!! He just didn't know it!!! LOL
As for Mackenzie? Thank God that Alton abandon her in church!!!! He really saved her life!!! Bahaha...
I liked her very much and i liked how patient she was with Slade's assholiness!!!
Those were really perfect for each other!!! Even thought they had too many bumps to jump in the process!!!
"For the first time in my life -it felt like I wasn't going to jump and have to catch myself.
I had someone by my side. Just as eager to tatake the leap.
Just as willing.
To catch me after the fall."

Mackenzie was left at the alter, and this good girl decides to break the rules and go on her honeymoon loose her virginity by a one night stand. Using a fake name she succeeds in her mission, but it’s when she returns home when things start heating up. Slade has been burned his pro athlete name dragged through the mud by his ex he needs a vacation where no one knows who he is. Using a fake name he finds the perfect girl and has a one night stand, returning home to his new soccer team he never expects his new assistant to be his one night but she’s not who she said she was but then again neither is he.
Rachel did an amazing job with this book, I could not put this book down. An excellent story line and truly lovable characters who have amazing chemistry! I cannot wait for more from this hot new series! Risky Play is a must read!!
What could go wrong after a one-night stand? LOL In Rachel Van Dyken's story...EVERYTHING! I love reading anything from this author. She does it with humor and also with a whole lot of love. This story was no different.
Slade and Mackenzie are both hurt souls. Both were betrayed by people who were supposed to care about them. A chance meeting on a airplane brought these two together. It seemed like maybe they were meant for each other. Ah but it's never quite that easy. Tragedy strikes and pulls them apart but fate is a fickle thing. I enjoyed watching these two figure out who they are supposed to be. First Mackenzie fights for Slade and when he finally gets his act together he fights for Mackenzie too. I read some early reviews on this book before i started it and was worried i wouldn't like it. I'm glad i got past all that and totally enjoyed the book. Slade doesn't come across to well in the beginning. He's hurting and he lashes out at the one person who cares about him. Even though Mackenzie is hurt she finds the strength to see past all that and decides she's not going to give up. This is a first time for this author for me and I'm glad i took the chance .

I don’t know how. I don’t know why. I have no excuses for myself. None. Nada. However, as much as it might cause shaming of the worst kind, I have to admit to the fact that yes, Risky Play was my first time diving into a Rachel Van Dyken book. And honestly, someone needs to throat punch me. I had no idea what I was missing out on!
Risky Play was full of EVERYTHING! It was sweet and swoony and then also angsty and emotional. It pull all the right emotions and gave all the amazing feels we all love when reading a good romance!
Now I have to warn you guys, our swoony hero, Slade, isn’t so swoony at times. He starts off as everyone’s dream guy, but quickly loses points on the swoon-meter. He ends up needing a lot of redemption (if I’m being honest) and in the end I feel like he pulls it off. So I guess what I’m trying to say is - stick with him my friends. He is worth it but it’ll take some patience.
Our heroine, Mackenzie, however is perfectly likable the whole time. She does exactly what I’m asking all of you to do. She sticks with Slade and give him the grace and patience he needs but doesn’t necessarily deserve at times. Don’t worry though, she can dish it as well as she can take it. She makes sure to put Slade in his place.
Overall I thought this book was a gem. I’m glad I finally got to read a Rachel Van Dyken book and I can not wait to continue on with the series as they become available!
There is just something about a book written by Rachel Van Dyken that, for me at least, always leaves a smile on my face. Risky Play was another beautifully written book and one that I devoured. I loved Mackenzie aka Mack and Slade’s story. It was filled with emotional moments of loss, pain and finally forgiveness. There were laugh out loud moments and there were stomach aching from the angst moments, but it was all well balanced and just a great romance.
My heart hurt for Mack a lot, that feeling of never being good enough or worth fighting for is one that I myself have felt at times in my life, so I felt a connection with her from almost the very start. My heart broke for Slade as well, he allowed his grief to overshadow what was in front of him that he almost lost. The chemistry between them was apparent from the start and I couldn’t help but want them to be together and find happiness with each other.
Risky Play is another must read from Rachel Van Dyken. It is the perfect blend of romance, forgiveness and healing and is one that needs to be on the top of TBR lists immediately.
Another brilliant new series for Rachel Van Dyken. She always manages to deliver brilliant fun, steamy, romances that once you start you will be unable to put down. I started this at 10pm and wouldn't go to sleep until I had finished it. I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN.
With RVD I don't even need to read the blurb, I 1-click straight away and she always writes a book that I love. She always writes the perfect blend of swoon-worthy moments mixed with witty banter and hot AF chemistry.
When Mackenzie is left at the alter by her bestfriend/fiance. The guy she grew up with and was 'groomed' to marry she is lost. She decides to go on her honeymoon anyway so she can try to figure out what her next move is.
Slade is a world class footballer and has been traded to a team in the US but first he needs a break after being cheated on by his fiancée.
When Slade and Mackenzie meet on the plane, after a bumpy ride, they spark up a connection that is red hot in the bedroom and out. After a steamy night together they go their separate ways until they are unexpected reunited.
Mackenzie and Slade end up with a love/hate relationship until Slade gets his head out of his a**. They do say there is a fine line between love and hate, and I was thoroughly amused with watching their relationship play out, never sure if Mackenzie wanted to kiss or punch Slade.
I am excited to see what RVD brings us next with this series.
I loved this rich girl, famous soccer player romance. A great read that had me hooked in the first chapter and kept me enthralled until the end. A highly recommended read! Looking forward to the next installment in this new series.
Risky Play is the first book in Rachel Van Dyken’s newest Red Card series. This novel is told in dual point of views (Mackenzie and Slade). I don’t really follow soccer as a sport itself, I do however enjoy reading about it though!
Mackenzie and Slade are two lost souls desperate for a connection so they decide to take a chance which was really interesting to witness, especially given the fact that they both are going through immense heartbreak.
Who doesn’t like a sexy one night stand, with fake names and no chance of ever seeing each other again! Oh, wait. That’s a little impossible when you’re an heiress to the top wine distributor in the industry, and when you’re the top soccer player in the world.
But really, what can go wrong?
Besides everything.
My Thoughts:
I knew I would love Risky Play as soon as I read the blurb. I knew this book would immediately draw me in from the start. And still I decided to dive into this one at a little after eleven at night. I knew it was a mistake but still I went for it. You see it was a mistake to read this around bedtime because Rachel Van Dyken is one of those authors that has the ability to write a novel that is so consuming you can’t put it down. And that’s exactly what happened in this situation. I couldn’t put this book down!
I loved the connection between Mackenzie and Slade. Yes, even when Slade was going through his douche canoe moments, I even loved them together. What I loved the most was the struggle that Slade went through when it came to forgiving himself and not laying blame on others for his actions. It made his character a little more humble in my eyes.
I also loved the great strength that slowly built in Mackenzie. She found the strength to not only stand up for herself. I loved watching her grow into the woman she was meant to be and leaving behind the woman that she was molded to be.
Overall, this was a great novel and a great start to a new series! Rachel Van Dyken never lets me down! I’m eager to see what’s coming up next!
Slade Rodriguez is very handsome and very famous soccer player. Labeled as a player of more than just soccer.
Mackenzie DuPont is a beautiful and strong women. She also is the daughter of a wine mogul and was just left at the alter. Deciding she needs to get away so she goes on what would of been her honeymoon but herself.
I absolutely love this story line. It grabbed my attention right from the beginning and never let go. I had trouble putting it down and stayed up way to late reading it. I love a book that can take you through so many emotions and that’s what this book did, I was happy and laughing, got mad in a few parts, sad in some and even felt kind of sick to my stomach in one part, but I enjoyed the emotional ride all the way to the end. I love how strong Mackenzie is and even though she has had some bad things happen she never gives up. And Slade I love how sexy he is and how when he realizes he is acting like a jerk he truly tries to change and becomes so loving. I also love the other Characters, Matt the agent and Jagger, Slade’s teammate, I am hoping to see another book or two in this series! Another great read by Rachel Van Dyken, one I will definitely be reading again and again and one I Highly recommend!!
3 stars!
Risky Play was a quick and easy contemporary romance.
I’ll start with what I liked about this book. The initial meeting and the chemistry between Mackenzie and Slade had me buzzing. I was so hooked and excited for what was in store.
Their one night is Mexico, was wonderful until it wasn’t. The next morning Slade just abruptly disappears without a word.
Fast forward, months later when Mackenzie is assigned to be his assistant.
Okay, so...I know this was explained but this just didn’t seem believable to me.
You see, Mackenzie comes from a wealthy family. She’s a heiress of a wine empire. Of all the jobs in the world, why oh why would she take a position as someone’s assistant. It’d make more sense for her to have an assistant. But, I digress.
She starts this new job as Slade’s assistant. He’s just been transferred to a different soccer team in the states.
It’d be an understatement to say he was mean and had an nasty attitude towards her. I legit wanted to punch him in the face a time or two. His reasoning for such attitude I wasn’t feeling either.
I guess of the two, I preferred Mackenzie’s character more. She was resilient and stood up to him (most of the time).
Did he redeem himself? Barely. I think she forgave him too easily. I’m a fan of the grovel and he didn’t have to do much of that.
But for the most part they were great together, as I mentioned before they had good chemistry and the banter was there.
There were some funny moments mixed in to balance things out.
I loved the side characters - Matt and Jagger. I’m very interested to see if they each get a story.
It was an okay read for me but not my favorite from this author.
Mackenzie is going on her honeymoon alone, trying to escape reality. Her fiancee left her at the altar and she is supposed to still work with him. Slade is on vacation before starting his life over, after mincing and finding out his girlfriend is pregnant by a teammate. They have one perfect night together in Mexico, before he gets a phone call.
When they see each other again, she is his assistant and he is horrible to her, he blames her for the horrible news he received. As time goes on, they can't deny their attraction but she can't reconcile the two versions off him and he is still unwilling to admit some had truths.
Just when everything is good between them, I taunt liked how he had her back where her family was concerned, their lives are thrown for a loop. The ending was great and I can't wait for more of these characters.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
