This is the fourth book in the series, and unfortunately I haven't read the previous ones in the series. I think however this book reads nicely enough, and I didn't miss too much references to the previous books. Recommended.

Thankyou to NetGalley, Bloodhound Books and the author, Rob Sinclair, for the opportunity to read a digital copy of The Green Viper in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.
This is the first novel I have read written by this author. It certainly will not be the last. I enjoyed it.
I thought the storyline was well written and with compelling characters. Overall, a good, solid read. I will definitely be reading the first 3 books in the series.
Worth a read.

A fine book. I started this unsure whether I would enjoy it but after sticking with it I was glad I did. As a later part of a series that I jumped into late, there were many things that would be clearer if I had read the previous books, but this turned out ok regardless. A story where a former spy must help out the son of a former friend who has gotten himself in too deep with his future father in law who is a bad guy. A lot of action and you found yourself cheering for Ryker as he takes down the drug lords of New York. Thank you Netgalley and Bloodhound Books for the ARC for my review.

I always really enjoy reading Mr Sinclair's books. I'm a very quick reader so they don't last as long as if usually prefer but never sacrifice detail or character.

Just when I thought there was no more Ryker books he's back Woo Hoo....Not excited much but I bloody love this series, if you didn't already know.

Rob Sinclair brings us yet another fast paced action packed story that will you have hooked from start to finish... I couldn't put it down after reading such a wicked prologue...it is nerve racking and exciting at the same time The story starts of in London then we are taken to New York we catch up with Ryker on an roller coaster journey after he receives a coded message which is a cry for help. And that's just a taster....believe me you guys are in for one hell off a treat.

I really don't know how the author does it...each book gets better and better. Leaving no room for improvement, I cannot wait to read the next book. Which reminds me that I am still waiting for someone to buy the film rights so we can see the movies....that's how good this series is.

This story has plenty of OMG moments and some rather gruesome descriptions. Absolutely
nail biting stuff The Green Viper will certainly keep you on the edge of your seat. It is gritty with a capital G!

Perfect Jack Reacher fans I cannot recommend it enough giving it all the stars.

The Green Viper by Rob Sinclair
James Ryker #4

Starting a book looking through the eyes of a man about to be thrown from the roof of a building can be rather abrupt and daunting but it really worked as a prologue and tied everything together in the end. Not having read the first three books in this series made no difference in my ability to understand follow and enjoy this story of ex-agent James Ryker. His decision to do what he could to help out the son of a deceased colleague who has managed to immerse himself in the seamier side of life does not come without difficulties, though. This story caught my attention on the first page and held it all the way to the end.

After that prologue I referred to we see James accessesomh one of his safety deposit boxes that has a message from someone he knows is long gone. In spite of knowing that he will likely be following the clues left behind by a dead man he determines to leave London for New York. Once there he does some reconnaissance work, determines that the young man he has gone to help is in big trouble and sets about trying to extricate him. In the process he meets up with an FBI agent, works with her and alone, has encounters with thugs and villains, is beaten and beats some others, kills a few and does what he can to fulfill his obligation to a man he admired and was as close to as a son to his father. At the end of the story there is an indication of what direction this book may take next and if I am guessing correctly, well, his life will definitely not be spent living peacefully in the countryside.
