World-class surfer Krystal Walters would have appreciated the beauty of her surroundings—a quaint cottage in a fragrant Portuguese olive grove—if a wipeout hadn’t changed all her holiday plans. Now. suffering the dizzying after effects of multiple concussions, she’s determined to make it home to Rhode Island for Christmas, even if she has to defy doctor’s orders. Except those orders are being enforced by Adolfo Silva. A man as arrogant as he is ruggedly handsome. Spending every waking moment working to make the family olive farm a success, Adolfo barely has time to savor a traditional Feliz Natal. But the moment Krystal disappears under a mountain of sea water, his focus shifts to a sun-kissed spitfire with golden hair, sky-blue eyes, and a will as immovable as his own. Keeping her safe is his first priority, but this bold, courageous woman’s wings won’t be clipped. Before they can plant the seeds of a future together, he’ll have to convince her that spending Christmas—and maybe every holiday to come—with him isn’t the end of the world.
This was a cute story wrapped around the holiday theme. It was a quick and easy read that captured the holiday season. I liked both main characters and their interactions with each other. I recommend.

For anyone who enjoys a good read over the Christmas, then i would certainly recommend this book. I don't usually read much in the way of Christmas romance books, but i am glad that i read this one. So engrossed that it didn't take me long before i was on the last page! I have been to Portugal and could well imagine the setting for this story.

My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for my copy. This is my honest review.

- introduzir palavras em português só porque sim, do género: "My pai lived on this farm"

- diálogos completamente irrealistas do género: "He tugged on her ponytail. "I like your hair pulled back, by the way. The style shows off your high cheekbones." Não, ele não é cabeleireiro, é agricultor.

- diálogos cientificamente incorrectos: "As the sun set over the hills". Estavam numa praia de Peniche.

Juro que me ri em cada página e diverti-me imenso.

Krystal is in Portugal for the surfing tournaments. After a wipe out, she is laid up with a concussion and sprained wrist. With her cousin married to a Portuguese man, she stays near them, and his brother Adolfo. Enjoyed this story and the characters, but didn't see the strong reason why she felt she had to surf, even with injuries. The desire to force her dad to her will also seemed off. I could see a need for conflict, but felt it wasn't stressed enough to show her reasons and reactions. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this book and author. Fun to read about a different culture and their holiday traditions.

A wonderful Christmas story. Interesting characters with issues about family and self. Along the way they find love and solve their issues.

Great read set in Portugal in the run up to Christmas. Surfer Krystal is stuck in Portugal following an accident while surfing. Local Adolpho wants her to stay for christmas and sets out to make her change her mind.
