By no means an unbiased look at animal rescue (Novello is an unabashed animal lover), this book explores the mutual benefits of shelter pet adoption on the animals themselves and the humans who give them a home. Fans of James Herriot and other animal writers will enjoy the moving stories of humans and animals helping each other. Explores scientific benefits of pet ownership, too.
