Very interesting read! It had suspense, drama, some humor and romance. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I do like a suspenseful romance novel at times. This was one of those times.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book 3 in the highland hearts series. I just wasn’t in love with the addition to the series. Grace is a thief and Harrison is working for the crown and wants to bring her to justice. Grace is blackmailed into helping out with an problem and Harrison is just a jerk. I just wasn’t in love with it. Story was okay but just couldn’t love the characters.

I love a good thief story, especially in the historical romance genre! The characters stand alone and don't need others to make them shine which is what makes Harrison and Grace spark so well when they're together. Independent, stubborn, they create great scenes together that grab the reader from the very beginning. The blend of romance and suspense and mystery bring the story alive with great pacing in an intricately detailed setting. I'll be getting more from this author!

Very sweet and well written story.
However, I have to admit that spies historical romances are not my cup of tea, and here there is a lot of the spy part going on, which kind of turned off my excitement. But this is really and truly a matter of tastes. The love story is actually lovely and very passionate, both protagonists and the other characters are also greatly presented and I loved the relationship between hero and heroine. With another scenario I would have given this a full 5 stars.

Tempting the Highland Spy is a very entertaining romp that combines mystery and romance, while remaining a very light read.

I was a little confused at the beginning, as references were made to past events, and I wasn't sure if these had happened in earlier books or just in the backstory of the main characters, but once the main plot got underway, it was an extremely quick read. Grace is a semi-professional thief who had previously had a very intense night with Harrison, a spy from the Scottish Antiques Guild - when they are forced to work together to solve a case, they are also forced to confront the lingering feelings between them. The two leads definitely had chemistry together, which was clear both from their past actions and their reactions upon meeting again, so it was nice to see a relationship where that was part of their thoughts from the get-go, rather than something to be denied.

I didn't really feel that the mystery was the most compelling part of the book - I would have liked the balance to be swung a little more in favour of the romance in the story. I prefer more focus on the emotional side of things, but a lot of space was given to the practicalities of the mystery plot, which felt slow in plaes. I did enjoy this, but it isn't one of my favourites.

Good plot. Romance, intrigue, spies, and lots of twists and turns. The ending was great. Thank you for the arc of this book.

This is a solid historic romance with intrigue and a second chance (sorta) story line. They H and h spent one amazing night together in the past. There were no promises between the two. It was her first time, he was glad to have joined her in the special moment. He later discovers that she’s a thief and now he hates his attraction to her. There’s more to her than he knows, however, and he soon learns that love not greed is what drives her to take what doesn’t rightfully belong to her.

While this one isn’t going to blow you away, it’s a good read.

I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGallery, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Engaging, entertaining and murder. An honorable doctor and a lady thief are thrown together on a mission for Scotland. Past history between the two already established their compatibly, but the danger of the mission brings emotions neither one expected. What happens when the mission is over? Nothing like a stubborn Scot!

This is one of the most enjoyable light romance novel I've read in a long time. After being caught stealing at a party, Grace is forced to go undercover in order to save her aunt who also was caught stealing. There were reasons why they were stealing and this was supposed to be the last job for her and her aunt. I love it how the American heroine and the British hero are being forced to wotked together as an uncovered newly wedded couple to spy on an American heiress who may have killed her father.

There are surprising twists and there are some parts that will make you laugh out loud. It will keep you entertained as they solved the case while discovering about each other. This is a light romance without heavy steamy scenes. This is the 3rd book in Highland Hearts series written by other authors. This book can be read as stand alone.

If you're in a mood for a fun, light reading novel to relax you, then this is it for you.

I'll give this book a high 3 3/4 stars.

I received this novel from Entangled Publishing, LLC / Entangled: Amara through Net Galley for my unbiased and honest review. Thank you!

Tempting the Highland Spy is the third book in Tara Kingston's Highland Hearts series. Though it stands alone just fine, I feel like I would have enjoyed it a little more if I had read the first two. References were made to past events that would have given me more details regarding the leads. That being said, I did find this book to be highly entertaining, and I very much enjoyed the hero and heroine.

Grace and her aunt were thieves (for a good reason!). While attempting to steal an important item, Grace was discovered by the violent man who had possession of it. She was saved by Harrison, with whom Grace shared a brief past. Harrison, the Highland Spy of the book's title, knew what Grace was. She was coerced by both American and Scottish spies to help them in an investigation. In return for her cooperation, she would be pardoned for her crimes. Harrison was tasked with working with Grace. Together the two of them, along with the nicknamed "The Untamed Shrew" (Margaret was great!) set out for the job.

There was an interesting mystery here. Did Belle, the Notorious Heiress from America, kill her father? What, if anything, did her Scottish thespian fiancee have to do with it? And what the heck was up with his two creepy female relatives? The mystery was entertaining, but it's the romance between Grace and Harrison that makes the story shine. You can't help rooting for these two and hoping they can get away from their pasts and look to the future instead.

I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley. I received no compensation for my review, and all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

Grace Winters has one final job to perform to keep her sister safe, but something doesn’t feel quite right, especially when she see Harrison MacMasters across the room. Last year after a wedding she spent one incredible night in his arms then she left without a trace, and now he shows up at another wedding. Highland spy Harrison MacMasters knows a pretty face can hide bitter deception and he’s asked to bring her in for justice. Grace will do anything after she’s caught to not go to prison and send her family to the poor house. Fate has a different plan in store for Grace and Harrison. They’re tasked to work together to solve a couple of crimes & find stolen antiquities. Grace tempts Harrison at every turn in this captivating spy suspense and romance adventure as these two work to bring criminals and find love along the way. This is my honest opinions after I voluntarily read a copy of this book that was provided to me with no requirements for a review.

This book was a wonderful surprise! I'd never read anything by Ms Tara Kingston, but after reading Tempting the Highland Spy I became a fan!
Book #3 in the series Highlands Heart, Tempting the Highland Spy can be read without knowledge of the previous books (my case), although I got very curious about the series and I'm planning to catch up with the previous books.
Grace Winters is in England for a last "mission" (stealing a bag). Then, she'll have financial conditions to live a simple life and go on paying for her sister's education. However, she didn't expect to be caught in action by Dr. Harrison MacMasters and be forced to join him in a dangerous mission in order not to be arrested.
Actually, Grace and Harrison had already met before - at a wedding celebration (in Book #2), when Grace was in another "mission". They had a nice time together until Grace left and Harrison found out that she'd stolen some jewels.
Now Harry is furious with Grace, although he is more furious with himself, as he is still attracted to her and wants to protect Grace at any cost. Will they be able to overcome their problems and, more important, stay alive.
I enjoyed reading the book and I'm looking forward to the next instalment of the series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tempting the Highland Spy by Tara Kingston is book Three in the Highland Hearts series. This is the story of Grace Winters and Harrison MacMasters. I have read the previous books but feel you can make this a standalone book.
Grace was taught by her Aunt to lift things that were not hers...theft. But they are forced to make one more job that puts Grace back in the site of Harrison. Harrison is a spy who has been tasked with following up with a mission of possible theft that takes him to Grace someone he doesn't think he can trust. But Grace is more than what he sees and they slowly start to learn trust and love.
Loved this story!

Spies, intrigue and romance. Grace Masters has become a thief. She has to save her sister and aunt. If stealing is the only way to save them, then that is what she will do. Stealing small things is easy until you get caught. Once she gets caught , she must work with the American agents to track a serious criminal threat. Dr. Harrison MacMasters is a doctor and a spy. He tries to protect treasures and make sure they stay where they should. Grace and Harry meet again after a night of passion a year before. Will they be able to trust each other enough to work together? Two oceans, two continents, two hearts. Great story. No one does handsome Scottish heroes better than Tara Kingston. I received this book from Net Galley and Entangled Publishing for a honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.

I really liked this historical read. Grace and Harrison are great characters. Their story is fast-paced with lots of drama and intrigue and really draws you into the story. Grace will do anything to keep her sister safe but when she is caught stealing, will the one man she gave into temptation to years ago help her? A good read.

Book three in the Highland Hearts series and Highland spy Harrison MacMasters spots a familiar face, Grace Winters a thief whom he had had a dalliance with a while back, trying to steal some jewels, he stops her and then ordered to keep an eye on her as there is danger afoot. This is a fabulous page turner.

I received a copy from Netgalley and i am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion

Prepare to be pulled into a story of spies, suspense and of course romance that will intrigue you until the end! An American and a thief, Grace needs to earn money to take care of her sister and is prepared to do what is needed. Unfortunately she is caught in the act of stealing her current goods by none other than Highlander, Harrison MacMasters, who often works as an agent that retrieves stolen goods. How could it be the man she could not forget since their one night encounter a year ago? It seems fate steps in and they have to work together to solve a mystery that puts them both in danger. Will she tempt the Highlander beyond the adventure they are thrown into? A captivating romance that has you turning the pages and wishing for a conclusion that can only warm the heart.
Although part of a series, this can be read as a standalone. Plus have you noticed that gorgeous cover? Can you resist that Highlander? I thought not!

I really enjoyed Harrison and Grace's story!

Grace has never enjoyed stealing from others, but she has been caught and the government has requested her help. She thinks that this will be the last time she will have to do this distasteful activity, but soon learns that this is just a test to see if she is qualified for a bigger job.

Harrison fell for Grace when they first met. It was only after she left that he learned what she did to support herself. Now he has been tasked to work with Grace on his latest mission. How can he work with someone he doesn't trust? While his body seems to crave Grace, his mind is telling him to stay far away. Which will win in the end?

This was a great addition to the Highland Hearts series! I've been intrigued with Harrison since he was first introduced in the series and I'm glad he got his HEA. Because Harrison and Grace both had trust issues, it was nice to watch them open up to the other. I don't know if this is the last in the series, but I'm excited to see what Kingston has in store for us next!
