I received a free copy of THE WARRIOR (The Immortal Dealers, Book 3) by Sarah Fine in exchange for an honest review. Ernie Terwilliger has a dilemma; she does not trust the new Forger, but she needs to eat and to keeps Legs well provided for. However, Ernie is cautiously hopeful when Virginia assigns her a task that seems harmless and even beneficial to society. When Ernie and the other dealers find out what horrific events result from Virginia’s seemingly benevolent assignments, they know Virginia must be removed from power. The questions remaining are: 1) how can they overthrow the forger and 2) who can be trusted to take her place.
I enjoyed the entire trilogy. I recommend it to readers of urban fantasy. It has some romance, some danger, and a lot of intrigue. You’re never quite sure who should be trusted.

The Warrior by Sarah Fine a four-star read that will challenge you. This is the third and final novel in the Immortal Dealers series and its best to read the series in order as they do flow and tell the story building with each one. There is a new forger in this one, so it throws drama and journey at every turn. I don’t know what to say as there are things that I feel would spoil the journey this one takes you on more than the previous two, what I will say is keep an eye out for the new dealers as they will open your eyes. I enjoyed this one overall, but I didn’t love it like I did the previous two, I have to admit that I’m glad the author ended on number three as I don’t know if it could keep the story going.
The final book of The Immortal Dealers is a super read that really wraps up the series with a bang. Absolutely don't attempt it without reading the first two as Sarah Fine has developed a story that naturally builds into this book from the previous two.
The world of the Dealers has become a little complicated with a new Forger in charge, Virginia, and it is difficult for them to know where any of them stand on this new playing field. There are numerous changes of direction and everything is a little slippery for Ernie as she tries to work out who is her ally.
With great pleasure, Gabe was front and centre in this book, which really helped to push the story forward. I liked the way relationships were built between a number of the characters and Ernie - I became invested in the end result.
The magic of the cards is always interesting and having grown up with children who play such games as 'Magic the Gathering' I found it quite feasible that these cards were capable of incredible acts when combined in certain ways.
I'm sorry the series has come to an end but it felt quite satisfying to see how things turned out for Ernie and her deck. Thank you, NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
The whole plot of the book (which finishes the series - a very good point) is good.
Alas, I had difficulties reading it, the narration felt sometimes sluggish, I was rather bored by the cards' technique display and the love stories were meh (I was cringing each time Gabe called Ernie "Love").
It's a shame and probably a case of "it's not you it's me" read because the story in itself was satisfactory.
If you really appreciated the first two books of the series you'll like this one too.
It was just one too many for me :/
The 3rd title on this series and a great way to end it. Full of twists and the continuing relationships amongst the dealers and will they topple the forger? I loved it!
A satisfying end to the series. The resolution of the sun artifact was overdue but well worth the wait.
I read this book as a AR and I absolutely loved it. This continues where they second book left off. I definitely would not try reading this one without reading the first 2 books of the series. The author does a great job of keeping the characters true to who she developed them to be. The main character is very relate-able. It is hard not to root for Ernie. The only down part to the book is it feels a little anti-climatic with how quickly it ends. It almost felt as if there will be another book because it was almost all build up to the final battle then... it was over. This book has drama, suspense, action, and a strong fantasy element. Overall, a wonderful book.
In the final installment of the Immortal Dealers trilogy, Ernie and her friends must save the world from Virginia, the new Forger. On the journey, they deal with devastating consequences of their actions, meet new Dealers and find out what each Dealer knows.
This book moved quicker than the previous book but was still slow to start. It often seemed like Ernie’s only concern was Gabe which proved a little annoying. The numerous battles were interesting but the final battle scene felt really anti-climactic. I expected it to end with a little more flair. I was surprised to find out that I had 4% of the book left, and they hadn’t battled the big bad yet.
Ernie seems to be the type of character who rarely makes mistakes, so I was glad to see she made a couple and was struggling with those consequences. It’s hard to like a character who does everything perfectly all the time.
All in all, I think this was an interesting storyline and could have been a little more exciting. I’m not sure I’d read another book in the series if there was one.
In this the final book of the series, Ernie and Gabe with the other dealers have the final confrontation with the evil Forger Virginia. I loved this series and an sorry there will be no more. A deck of cards that wield magic, was, well...magic. It was innovative, deadly, realm bending good. Very satisfying end, and we needed to see more of the new dealers magic with their animals. Sigh. I will miss this magic. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book from Netgalley.
Great wrap up to this series! Loved where the story went with the addition of Phoebe. I don't feel like I can say a whole lot without giving up plot points. Let's suffice it to say that if you've read and enjoyed the first two books of the series, then you will love this book. Can't wait to see what Sarah Fine comes up with next!!
