Interesting premise, a little confusing in parts, fun characters. Although it is the second in the series, it was the first I have read. I do feel like I should read these in order. This was so good, I ended up continuing the series.

Thank you to Netgalley and Sarina Dorie for allowing me the chance to read this book and offer my honest opinion. I definitely recommend this.

I just cant get into this series. I have read a few books and they just aren't grabbing my attention.

This book (and the one before it) is a conundrum to me. I don't really like the main character (she's so incredibly gullible and that's verrry annoying to me) and the pacing of the story, but it just sucks me in and I want to read more, more, more! What's up with that?

I really love the idea behind this series, and I understand that there has to be a certain world-building or get-to-know-your-character kind of thing, but it's so slow! As in, I think the first and the second book really have to be read as one book.

In spite of these things, I really liked the book. It's well written, and undoubtedly it exites me to no end. I'm going to at least read the third one, because I HAVE to know more about this fantastic place.

This has to be the weirdest 4-star review out there. lol.

I would like to thank Netgalley and Sabrina Dorie for letting me read this book in enchange of a honest review!

At first when I picked this book I didn't know what to expect, the synopsis is what called me in with "Hogwarts" "Buffy" in the middle. As well as the name for the series. All we know is that Clarissa is a magical being, and that unlike in other fantasy books she's not a teen discovering it, oh no, she's already an a adult!

Right on the first chapter though? I was hooked. Her anxiety about teaching the teens, and the scene in the classroom! I really needed to get to know more and couldn't drop the book until it was over!

With lot's of humor (at least for me), and bit of magic and lot of sexual frustation on Clarissa's side, we have a lovely fantasy as she discover's her magical side and tries not to get used by the evil Fae!

What a fun book. It's a different take on witches and fairy tales. I can't wait to see what trouble Clarissa gets into next. #HexEd #NetGalley

This book was well written but it needs a cover change. The cover makes it more appealing for middle school or younger ( advanced readers) age kids. Since the main character has a fertile affinity, sex and sex objects are brought up in each chapter.
As an adult reader this is a good book and I would like to read more, I would have given it four stars. Since it is targeted toward younger students/readers, I have to give it an inappropriate eating of two stars.

This is the second installment of this series. Admittedly, I have read them out of order. This one can stand alone and is just as funny. I identify with Clarissa. Not that I have magical powers or a wicked mother. But, I have been told I am quirky. She is quirky and then some. She has an awful sense of timing which results in chaos. Her fairy godmother is also a hoot. She is more understated but loves her daughter and attempts to protect her.
