This is a fun gift book for cat lovers. The artwork and colours are very nice, but I preferred the Crazy Plant Lady the publishers are releasing around the same time.
I loved this book!! If you love cats this is the book for you. This book would make a great gift for anybody who loves cats. The pictures are cute and the sayings are so true! Thank you Workman Publishing Company via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.
LOVED THIS BOOK! Guess that means I am a crazy cat lady too. The text is spot on amusing and the illustrations are absolutely adorable. I'll be buying copies of this one to give to my fellow feline addicts.
This is a very sweet combination of words, images, and the occasional flowchart for the feline-obsessed among us. It was even cuter than I expected it to be, and it would be a great gift for any cat-loving lady (or fella) you might know.
I read this book while petting my cat. I think this book is perfect for cat lovers.
It's entertaining and fun to read and you can identify yourself in a lot of pages.
I love the text and I loved the illustration.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC
This book is hilarious and sweet, the right combination to satisfy those with a hard-to-describe adoration toward books or cats. What I liked about this one was that it presented a love of cats as an essential ingredient to a happy life, and for some people that truly is the case. The art is charming, the writing is witty, and the whole thing is just heart-warming!
This title would be a cute gift for a crazy cat lady (or man) who doesn't already have a similar book in their collection. The content is fairly sparse at times (i.e. one quote or large illustration per page) and not entirely focused (except on the overarching theme of cats) but it's a fun, quick flip through.
Cute and colorful. A pleasant gift book and a quick read (read with a sleeping cat in my lap, of course).
I received a digital ARC from the publisher via Netgalley.
A brightly colored and beautifully illustrated celebration of cats and the ladies who love them (like me, woo! I love my three hellbeasts). There's not much information here - it's mostly just affirmations for those of us who just really, really, really love their cats. So if you're a lady, and you have a cat, you don't have to feel like the moniker of "crazy cat lady" is bad thing - embrace it! Love your cat(s) and love your life. Because cats are the best.
How could I resist a book with the title, Crazy Cat Lady?! This is a cute collection of observations, jokes and a few facts thrown in. The illustrations are simple, but adorable and I laughed out loud a few times reading through this short book. I can see this book in veterinarian waiting rooms, offering a bit of levity in a sometimes stressful space. And I just may have had a sleeping kitten draped across my chest as I read...
Thank you to Workman Publishing Company and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
I'm definitely a dog person, and don't even have the chance to be cat person due to severe allergies, but still got such a kick out of this quick little picture book! The illustrations are awesome and so fun, and the writing is so cute! It's just a wholesome book to make you giggle! I definitely recommend as a gift to the crazy cat lady in your life!
Me? A crazy cat lady? Nah...I only have eight outdoor cats. This quirky look at life with cats by Scholten and Loonstra strikes home on many levels. One of my favorite bits is titled, If I fits: I sits. In it, the cats are seen in vases, shoes, planters, boxes, and more odd places where one would never expect to see an animal.
While the story does play into many stereotypes about cat owners, it does so it a very funny way. The depiction of never being alone when you have a cat is spot on.
I must say, that even though I have cats now, I have also had many dogs as a time and each of these jokes (minus the sleeping one) can count for crazy dog ladies as well.
This is a perfect gift book for a cat-loving female like myself! The illustrations and text provide content to which we can relate. Workman Publishing invited me to download an electronic copy which was delivered through NetGalley. NetGalley's terms expect an honest review in exchange for electronic galleys.
This book will make all the Cat Ladies laugh. I'm sure they will find themselves somewhere in the text or pictures.Fun book, great gift.
