I suffer badly with HA so was looking forward to reading this book and what insides they could provide. There was some really helpful information provided however overall this was not for me. I can certainly see why others will find this book perfect for them.

An eye opening approach to depression and anxiety. This is what I have been looking for to help guide me through healing.

What health care should be-healing patients not (only) medicating them! lots of great information explaining possible causes of anxiety, depression etc. For someone who suffers from any of these mental challenges just knowing the cause is half the battle.

Mind Easing is a very thorough book and well researched. The author clearly knows what he is talking about and the book is easy to understand.

Really great information to assist anyone who suffers from anxiety and/or depression. I actually got an advanced copy of this in e-book format. I found this book to be very interesting and that it has lots of ideas that I plan to implement in my life. Not every idea will work for you, but you have to choose what will work best for YOU.

I really like how the author talks about his own struggles and how some of these techniques have helped him. Also, that he brings in a patient named "Lisa" whom struggles with a variety of issues and trauma from childhood. When I was reading the information about Lisa, I found that I could relate in some ways and how she worked to overcome these issues. Perhaps not everything that happened to her, but I could find some similarities and I think that helped me to understand things better or to put into perspective.

I had never heard of this author before reading this book, however I think that he provides a lot of great information with the three layer plan. It is about choosing the right plan for you and moving forward with that plan. I like that he doesn't push antidepressants because that is something some doctors will do. It is important to have therapy as well to see how you can get through everything before adding a drug into the mix.

I think this book is definitely worth a read, especially if you suffer from anxiety and depression.

Acclaimed psychiatrist Dr. Bick Wanck's book "Mind Easing" offers readers an empowering and unique way to move through anxiety and depression. I deeply appreciated the fact that Dr. Wanck is one of the founders of The American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. I see a wonderful addiction psychiatrist who I credit with saving my life.

I'm grateful Dr. Wanck is not anti-medication, as it can be lifesaving. Psychiatric medications have been essential for my survival and for me to thrive. They haven't blunted me in any way; in fact thanks, in part, to lithium and an MAOI, I healed and accomplished my dream of having my book "Birth of a New Brain—Healing from Postpartum Bipolar Disorder" published. I'm honored my book has been endorsed by Dr. Kay Redfield Jamison and 20 other mental health luminaries and received overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Dr. Wanck' Three-Layered Plan is a pragmatic approach to mood challenges. I also enjoyed how he delineated "hard" and soft" forms of anxiety and depression. I strongly recommend "Mind Easing" to laypeople and professionals who wish to expand their knowledge of how to heal from non-life-threatening anxiety and depression.

Dr. Wanck has delivered to the reader a "Three-Layerd Healing Plan" for anxiety and depression. The key standout for the reader is that you may not need all Three layers.

The Layer One would help the reader navigate possible healing without a need of professional. This could also build into healthy habits that would prevent needing going deeper or seeing wounds reappear. The habits that are developed through Layer One would lead to much better mental health along life.

Layer Two really did a great job about how the mind, body and energy affect the spirit and dives into spiritual healing. This level really hones in on seeing a holistic approach to mind, body and spirit and protecting and repairing that union.

For the readers that have deep depression and high levels of anxiety we get into concepts of hard and soft depression and anxiety. this was an all new concept to me as someone that suffers from depression and anxiety and jump at reading anything to understand and build tools to help myself and others.

Not dependent on what Layer of healing you need to work through, Dr. Wanck has done a solid job here delivering material to a reader.

Think about what’s wrong before you try to fix it. If you want to heal safely and effectively, you’ll need to have a good idea about why you are anxious or depressed. There’s more than one possible cause of distress, and if you know what’s causing your anxiety or depression you’ll be better equipped to decide what to do about it.

Today more than ever, everyone must be her or his own healer, and this is especially true in the management of anxiety and depression. In the first major conceptual leap in mental health care in forty years, Mind Easing's Three-Layered Healing Plan harmonizes wellness approaches, therapy, and, when needed, medicine into a safe and effective plan tailored to the needs and wishes of the individual.

Just as the book suggest, Mind Easing
by Bick Wanck, is exactly what it teaches you... How to ease your mind in a healthy way that is easy for you to manage. I've dealt with severe anxiety and depression for most of my life and have never been great at managing it on my own, but when I was read this book, there were new ideas and tips on how to manage it better. It also talks about what can cause depression and anxiety, like an underactive thyroid. If you're looking for a book that'll offer a little extra help, then this is it.
