I realized I had actually not read the first two books in this series. I plan to go back and read them but I don't feel you need to in order to enjoy this book. I didn't feel the book was too predictable. It did keep me guessing which I enjoyed. I will be looking forward to the first two books as well as searching out her other books.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley on behalf of the Publisher and was under no obligation to post a favorable review.
Breach of Trust by Rachel Dylan, the latest book in the Atlanta Justice Series, offers readers an edge-of-your seat read. If you enjoy legal suspense thrillers, then this book certainly delivers. With believeable characters and a plausible plot line, it's a book that's hard to put down. Readers who enjoy a strong female lead will enjoy Mia Shaw as she works to uncover the truth about a case her close friend and colleague Chase was murdered over. Just when you think you know what will happen next, the plot surprises you--and that's a good thing. Believable twists keep the plot moving so that you'll not want to put down the book till it's done.
Note: I received a copy of the book from the publisher through NetGalley for this honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.
Breach of Trust is the third book in the Atlanta Justice series by Rachel Dylan, but it can be read as a stand alone novel. Mia Shaw is on the partner track at a large corporate law firm, but her world is turned upside down when her co-worker, Chase Jackson, is murdered.. Mia embroils herself in the investigation with the hope of tracking down the killer. Noah Ramirez, a former ATF agent, becomes involved when one of his friends becomes the prime suspect in the murder investigation and teams up with Mia to hunt for the killer. Secrets, corporate espionage, and danger abound that will keep the reader flipping pages quickly to the end.
This is the third installment in the Atlanta Justice series and I think this is my favorite book in the series. Even though this book is part of a series I feel it is definitely a stand alone. Packed full of edge of your seat suspense and a mystery with twists and turns that keeps you guessing until the end. I loved these complex characters. Mia is strong and well developed character. She works for a big law firm, but readily admits that it's not her ideal job. Yet, she still gives 100% to every case she's given. When she finds her friend brutally murdered she show real and raw emotions, but instead of revenge she seeks justice. Noah, former ATF agent, runs a private security firm with two close friends. Noah receives a phone call from a former agent who happened to save his life and asks for help. Noah and Mia are on a collision course, but for different reasons. Mia has accused/believes David McDonald killed her friend, but Noah is convinced he's innocent. I like that Noah is upfront with Mia about the fact he's looking for answers to prove David's innocence and will leave no stone uncovered. When Mia starts asking questions the case heats up and suddenly she and Noah find things much more complicated that they ever imagined.
This book has elements of mystery, suspense, romantic tension, faith, and love. This is a great book and I would recommend to anyone who loves a suspense or mystery.

Story Notes
Rachel Dylan brings readers her latest in the Atlanta Justice series which takes a good look inside the workings of corporate litigation and the lengths someone might go to ensure a lucrative secret is kept hidden.
Rachel Dylan has become a favorite of mine in the crime/legal fiction genre as she is a writer who offers just enough details to keep the story interesting and real without boring the reader with the unnecessary. I love how she weaves the legal or law enforcement terms into the conversations in a way that encourages understanding and provides true context for what is happening. Her latest installment of the Atlanta Justice series focuses on Mia Shaw, a corporate litigator who has the misfortune to discover the recently deceased body of her best friend, Chase Jackson. Shocked and incredibly angry at the idea that someone would even dream of harming her friend, Mia determines to help the police and the prosecutor for the case find the killer. When a highly likely suspect is found, Mia is convinced he is guilty given his background in ATF and subsequent dishonorable release. Now to find a way to prove her suspicions are true. Security and Tech guru for K & R Security, Noah Ramirez is pleased with where his life is going professionally. To have found a good job doing what his loves for whatever cases he chooses helps keep his life interesting and ever-evolving. But a call from a former ATF partner changes his focus to one case only. How could David McDonald be guilty of killing a well-known corporate litigator? Sure, they had killed criminals given no other choice while at ATF but it wasn’t something that either he or David had relished. But proving David’s innocence will be harder than expected with Mia and the prosecutor’s evidence that Chase and David had had previous altercations, one involving a fist fight. Convincing Mia to work with him will take some doing but eventually she agrees, with the understanding that she will believe in David’s guilt until clear evidence shows otherwise. As they delve into case and begin to sort through the workings of Chase’s latest litigation suit, evidence comes to light that there is more going on than is initially seen. And when strange disappearances of unexplained records happen just before important discoveries are made, Mia and Noah realize there is a much darker purpose at work. Working fast to prevent the loss of more information and to prevent further crime, they will learn that both of them are after the truth, even if it hurts. But the discovery that the enemy they are seeking is right in their midst will mean a fight for their lives and for the lives of their friends. Mia and Noah will each have to decide if justice and love for others is more important that being right and winning. This book was a pretty intense ride through the justice system. The two cases that went on simultaneously kept things interesting and demanded that I focus on the book when reading each page. I loved the meetings between the sets of lawyers on each case. While frustrating to read sometimes, the admission of loss of files and information was one of the best passages and made me certain to finish the story. I just had to find out if Mia was going to win that case given all the odds against her! I also liked the spiritual journeys that each main character was on in the story. Noah has a pretty established faith but is challenged further by the case and his friendship/relationship with Mia. Mia is a relatively new Christian and is still learning how to reconcile everything she sees with her faith. She is daily challenged with the issues that occur with Chase’s former case which force her endure humiliation and censure with calmness and grace – neither of which she could have done before she came to faith. Another character I really enjoyed getting to know was the in-house lawyer for Lee Corporation International, Owen Manley. He was just a really good guy who seemed determined to do the best for his client while also upholding the law. As he worked alongside Mia and Noah, I found that he became almost a main character at points because he was allowed good discoveries and points made by Ms. Dylan. I found this writing style very effective in that the inclusion of other characters than the main providing important information made the book better developed. It’s nearly impossible for one or two people alone to find out all the necessary information in real life so why should fictional characters function any differently in the “real world”? Overall, the story was well crafted and the characters very realistic. I will certainly recommend this book and the series to others as I have found them to be very enjoyable reads.
I received this E-book free of charge from Bethany House Publishers via NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. I will receive no fiscal compensation from either company for this review and the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.
Breach of Trust is a fast-paced, legal romantic suspense novel that readers will not want to put down. Lawyer Mia Shaw finds her colleague murdered and vows to find justice for him. Technology expert and former ATF agent Noah Rodriguez’s friend is charged with the murder. Things aren’t always what they seem. When Mia takes over her murdered colleague’s latest case, she finds herself in danger. Readers will fall in love with tall, dark, and handsome Noah and his huge heart. He is such a swoon-worthy character and will definitely be one to add to the readers’ collection of favorite book boyfriends. The characters from the previous books in the series played a secondary role as they came together to support their friends. Rachel Dylan does not disappoint in this conclusion to her Atlanta Justice series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House through NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine. (After reading it, I enjoyed the book so much that I also purchased my own paperback copy!)
Such a dynamic and suspenseful series!! The last book of the series “Breach of Trust” will cause you to investigate this legal case within the well-written pages of this book. It’s not easy trying to figure out the “who-dun-it” in Rachel’s books and that is what makes them such great reads. “Breach of Trust” introduces many characters, you’ll side with Mia on the obvious evidence in which she wants a man punished for murder. But, not everything is as it seems, enters Noah who is all about finding out the complete truth regardless of where it leads. Great Read!!
Blessings,
Karen Hadley Rating: 5* I received this book as a gift and all opinions are my own.
Book three of the Atlanta Justice series brings the most powerful and emotional story to date. Fans of the series will not want to miss this one!
When Mia Shaw finds her friend and co-worker brutally murdered. everything she has known about the law goes out the window. She wants justice for her friend and vows to do anything in her power to put the murderer behind bars. Working as a lawyer, she knows how the system should work and hopes she can use that to her advantage to help the investigation. The man they arrest says he is innocent and hopes his friend, Noah Ramirez, a security tech expert can help prove it. Mia has to take over at work for the case her friend had been working on and soon learns there might be more to his death than everyone originally thought. Secrets come to light that have her wondering if she stumbled upon corporate espionage and much worse. She turns to Noah for help and even though they have a different opinion on the case. she is still able to trust his judgment and feels safer with him working beside her. Together they must solve the murder case and try to stay alive in the process.
I have loved the Atlanta Justice series and am very happy to say that the finale does not disappoint. I think Mia might just be my favorite of the characters. Her emotion in this story made everything so much more real. Mia is the kind of character that feels deeply for those she cares about and brings that quality into everything she does using it to help her solve the most dangerous of cases. Noah was more of a grounded character that helped Mia navigate through the mess she finds herself in. The relationship between these characters was written well and I found myself rooting for them. I really love the way Dylan brings in her real-life law experience to make the story points realistic and play out as they should. Fans of romantic suspense will love this finale in the series. I especially loved the twist at the end. I can usually see those kinds of things coming but didn’t see this one and loved the way it worked out. I recommend this to fans of the series but also readers who haven’t had a chance to read any of Dylan’s work yet, this would be a great one to start with. Even though it is the third in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone without missing anything.
I received a complimentary copy of this title from the publisher. The views and opinions expressed within are my own.
If you like legal thrillers.. you will enjoy this one! For corporate law, this lawyer stuff gets intense! Lots of action and watch over your shoulder suspense. Kept me guessing and the ending a surprise!
I was gifted a copy, no review was required. My review is voluntary.
This book is a pretty easy read, I enjoyed it and from the beginning we are tossed into the mystery surrounding Chases’s murder.
I do wish more would have happened a bit sooner. After the initial scene of finding Chase it slows down a bit. We are in the point of view of many characters and I wondered why, I knew there had to be a reason but early on that isn’t clear.
But if you stick with it (which I recommend) you will be satisfied with the ending, for me I just wished it was a bit faster-pace. Overall a good read, though.
A copy of this book was given to me through Netgalley.com. All opinions are my own.
Breach of Trust is a great addition to Atlanta Justice series. It is my favorite of the series. I am giving it five stars.

I give Breach of Trust five out of five stars!
Happy Reading!
Fantastic romantic suspense. I loved the suspense with a bit of romance. There were many twists and turns. I wasn’t sure who the bad guy was until close to the end of the book. I got to learn a little bit of law in this also. I loved Mia and Noah. These two worked so well together. This was a wonderful ending to a great series. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
Breach of Trust, Rachel Dylan’s third book in the Atlanta Justice series, is the perfect finale. Dylan has written another great legal thriller with a faith element. While this book could be read as a stand alone, characters from previous books appear in the book as do situations that would be better understood if the reader started with the first book.
This book features lawyer, Mia Shaw who is a new believer and security tech expert Noah Ramirez. Mia discovers that one of her friends has been murdered. The ensuing investigation into the murder and the case that Mia takes on in the place of her friend soon become entwined. Almost everyone is a suspect because Dylan really keeps the reader guessing to the very end.
Dylan’s knowledge of the legal system shines in her books. She writes a realistic story with just enough legal detail to keep the reader engaged. She blends the suspense and the romance together beautifully. I am so looking forward to much more from Rachel Dylan and highly recommend this book (and this series).
Breach of Trust was a great conclusion to the Atlanta Justice trilogy! Legal thrillers have never been a favorite genre of mine, but Rachel Dylan knows how to write them in a way that I love. This book grabbed my attention right away -- it opened in such an intense way!
I liked the characters and how their relationship developed throughout the story. The mystery of who the "bad guy" was had so many layers and I never knew when the next twist was going to come. It was so good!
All in all, Breach of Trust was a very good read and if you enjoy suspense, especially legal thrillers, I recommend it!

The final book in Rachel Dylan’s Atlanta Justice series starts with a murder and proceeds full speed ahead from there.
Amid grieving the loss of her good friend, Mia Shaw is given the lead on a case that is shrouded in danger and secrets. She turns to Noah Ramirez for his help in finding answers to her questions even though the two of them stand on opposite sides of the man accused of the murder of Mia’s friend.
Dylan’s courtroom and lawyer/client situations are spot on, the action is vivid and intense, and the romance develops naturally all while Mia’s new faith is tested. The author handles each situation and answer with authenticity and grace.
Readers of the first two books will also enjoy cameos by Kate, Sophie, and their guys. If you’re looking for a legal suspense read that leans more toward the cases and will keep you guessing, you can’t go wrong with Breach of Trust.

Mia Shaw is a corporate litigator; with thousands owed in school loans she can’t afford to fail. Plus whispers of making partner are floating about the halls of the firm keeps her focused and working hard. When she finds her fellow litigator and friend brutally murdered in his apartment, Mia’s world is thrown into chaos. And she knows the man arrested for the murder is guilty.
Despite the murder, the corporate case Chase was assigned requires forward movement; the lead partner of the firm assigns the case to Mia. As Mia works her way through thousands of pages Chase had already obtained on the case, things aren’t quite adding up. Unable to put her finger on what is niggling her about Chase and the case, Mia doggedly pursues the truth.
Noah Ramirez, a former ATF member and security tech expert, is shocked when his former teammate is arrested for murder, of an attorney. He knows that his friend did not murder anyone. If he could just get Mia on board, his investigation might just get somewhere.
After agreeing to work together, despite her adamance Noah’s friend is the murderer, Mia finds herself in someone’s crosshairs. Someone is determined to stop her, someone who will stop at nothing to force Mia to quit the investigation.
I thoroughly enjoyed Breach of Trust, I think the novel Rachel Dylan’s best thus far. Highly recommend!
I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley, and am not required to provide a positive review. All thoughts and opinions therein are solely my own.
An enthralling legal thriller that will keep you turning the pages. The characters were interesting. The growing romance between Mia and Noah was a slow process as they got to know and trust one another while investigating her friends murder. The legal case Mia is assigned to that was her deceased friends case is not what she expected and everyone involved is not as they seem. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
This legal thriller gets of to an intense start. Mia, a corporate litigator with a very powerful firm, finds a colleague and good friend brutally murdered. The senior partner asks her to take over the case her friend was working on. That sets in motion Mia's intense investigation to do well in the litigation. She is also passionate about seeing that whoever murdered her friend will be brought to justice.
Dylan takes us into the world of corporate litigation and espionage. She has done a good job of giving us an idea of how intense the negotiation and discovery processes can be. We also see how dangerous it can be when those in power have something they want to remain hidden, no matter the cost to others.
The best part of the novel for me was Mia as a new Christian. Dylan has included some good discussions about doubt and faith that are well crafted.
The romantic aspect of the plot went smoothly. It might have been a more interesting part of the plot if there had been serious obstacles in the relationship that had to be overcome.
The end has a twist that I am not sure works out. I had a little difficulty identifying with the major characters, perhaps because the world of litigation is so foreign to me.
I recommend this book to readers who would enjoy a legal thriller with a good presentation of the struggles of a new Christian in the face of a brutal murder..
I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.
Fans of Rachel Dylan’s Atlanta Justice series will not be disappointed in the finale, Breach of Trust. This novel has everything the romantic suspense fan could want — a heroine not easily deterred or spooked from getting to the bottom of a mystery, a hunky hero who is strong and sensitive, and a plot that will keep you guessing. With legal wrangling in both civil and criminal courts, as well as corporate espionage and danger around every corner, this fast-paced book had me saying just one more chapter! It’s a great conclusion to an awesome series. Recommended!
Breach of Trust begins with a shocking murder that has main character Mia Shaw reeling. She knows who did it and is determined to see justice done. But Noah Ramirez, friend of the suspect and partner to Mia’s best friends’ husbands, knows differently. The two clash on the facts of the case, but soon the desire to get to the truth makes them allies in an investigation in which no one can be trusted. The two are drawn to each other immediately, but past experiences keep them wary and at arms length — at least at first. Mia and Noah’s romance feels oh so right, and romance fans will love how their relationship progresses. And those who like danger, mystery, and twists and turns will love how Dylan weaves all the seemingly disconnected story lines together. I have to admit I suspected everybody! As one after another suspect was eliminated, the author had me re-examining and puzzling. There are a number of secondary characters, both familiar and new, that added to the story in interesting and fun ways. Two in particular would be great in their own book — hint, hint! 😉 Faith is always an important element in a Dylan novel, and both Mia and Noah are believers who came to trust in God in contrasting ways. I loved how Dylan showed their growing faith and the commonality they had despite their very different journeys.
If you’ve read books 1 and 2 in the Atlanta Justice series, then you are in for a treat with Breach of Trust. If you haven’t, now is the time to pick up all three books and begin a romantic suspense binge-read!
Recommended.
