This had funny pictures and was a cute story.
The story starts with Stella waking up to find the school buses are arriving. Yay! Another day of school. She grabs her friends and they share the school day with all the students. Today’s “question” for the friends is whether Bo should go outside with the kids and fly around during recess. What are a mouse, a frog, a spider, and a parakeet to do? Go ask the smartest person they know, Goldie the goldfish. Well, two bubbles says its not a great idea to go out in the cold winter day to fly around when you’re a parakeet, so Bo and his friends stayed in to play until the bell rang and it was time for everyone to go home. Stella and her friends live at the school (except Bo, he goes home with the teacher on the weekends) and they helped cheer Stella up when she was sad because the day was over.
Each of the characters have their own unique personalities which makes the story wonderful for bringing them to life after the story has ended. This wonderful early chapter book is part of a series that features the friends and all the fun and challenges they face together.
Perfect for all ages and settings, I have to give this one ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
This book has absolutely adorable illustrations. It is about friends who live in an elementary school. A mouse, toad, spider and parakeet enjoy different subjects and activities.
The story gets a bit tedious at times and I am not sure the targeted age group would enjoy it. It is a great concept but may need a bit tweaking.
Overall, it is a cute book. I would suggest reading it because the kids will love the illustrations. The story is fine, it just could stand to be tightened a bit.
I enjoyed the "Talk about It" and "Write about It" sections. They are helpful in getting children to think more about the concepts provided in the book.
