I received an ARC from NetGalley for this and i dont know what took me so long to read it! I loved it! It was super cute and very relatable! I am now anxiously waiting for book 2!. Any woman wants to check in on her first love but to also find out he has been holding a torch for you also is almost a dream come true. I rooted for this couple the entire book through. Very happy i read this.
Love Always is a second chance romance. Kate and Liam have an incredible attraction that can’t be denied. I loved the author’s description of Ireland and felt like I was visiting the country. I can’t wait to read the stories of Kate’s sisters.
I love a second chance story and Kate and Liam’s has got to be one of the best ever
When Kate goes on a getaway to the Irish coast she (or the author) takes you right along with her.
It’s a feel good read, left me with the warm fuzzies.
After Kate's future plans are destroyed by her cheating fiance she want nothing more than to spend Christmas alone. When her family hears about her plan they offer to change their plans and be with her. To prevent them from storming her holiday, she announces that she is going to the family cottage in Ireland...alone. Years ago during a family vacation at the cottage Kate met her first love...
When they meet again all these years later the spark is still there. He has returned to his hometown as a doctor and he is married to his work. Kate is only here through the holiday so how could she possibly be at risk for falling for him all over again? This is a wonderful second chance love story. Great read.
"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."
Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!
My first read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. I read it straight through in one sitting and would recommend! Looking forward to reading more from this author.
Love Always is a story of lost love and second chances with lots of emotional ups and downs along the way.
After a rough year Kate Madison decides to spend the Christmas season alone at her family cottage in Ireland. Upon arriving at the cottage, Kate learns that her first love Liam O'Farrell has also moved back to town. As the pair become reacquainted they rekindle the love they once shared. Overall this was a well written and quick read.
I simply loved this novel about second chances! The characters of Liam and Kate are relatable and well written. One can feel the hurt that both of them felt years ago and that still lingers.
Long ago and far away, young Liam and teen Kate fell in love on the coast of Ireland over a summer of dreams. Distance and time has kept them apart and their lives moves on but not the love they held and cherished. When Kate finally has the gifts of time and of opportunity, she returns to Ireland not knowing Liam lives in the village. Shocked at seeing each other, they recover and reconnect. But, distance and time still remain a constant in their relationship even though love runs deep.
Just finished drying the tears after the final page of Love Always. This book is filled with emotional ups and downs which hooked me from the start. The story is multi-dimensional as it beings together Liam and Kate after ten years and an ocean separated them while also looking at the love of family and of your community. I’m not going into details because seriously you should be reading this story for yourself. Carol Marinelli is a master storyteller and this is, in my opinion, one of her best.
Truly great second chance story. After a rough year Kate Madison finds herself alone for Christmas. When her family threatens to change their plans to stay home with her Kate abruptly announces that she has plans to spend the holiday in Ireland at a family owned cottage. The same place where she met and lost her first love, Liam O'Farrell. When she arrives in Ireland Kate is surprised to find out that Liam has moved back to his small hometown and even more surprised to discover the spark between them still burns so brightly. Turns out this could be the best Christmas either of them have ever had.
I highly recommend this one.
Love Always by Carol Marinelli is a wonderful festive season story that incorporates magical and awe-inspiring descriptions of the majestic Irish coastline where the Madison’s have their quaint vacation cottage. A story of second chances and reflecting on past hurts; this is also a tale of overcoming the misgivings and preconceptions that are imbedded from each of their failed relationships. Kate and Liam both have demons to exercise before they can move forward and allow their feelings to flourish and grow, but the past they share may just be what tips the scale on this renewed and budding romance. I enjoyed their story and look forward to reading more from Ms Marinelli.
I adored this book of second chances!! After a tough year, Kate has decided to travel to Ireland over Christmas to her family's cottage that she has wonderful memories from one summer of her teenage years. Kate soon learns her first love has also moved back, Liam. Will this reunion leave lasting memories or will it be HEA.
Loved this story, so many traditions. Loved the descriptive writing of the countryside of Baile Doch. Great chemistry between Kate and Liam. Both so passionate in their personal lives and Liam in his profession. Can't wait to read more from the Madison sisters! I highly recommend this story.
A quick read with a few slow/dragging parts, but when it's in Ireland at Christmas, I couldn't pass it up!
I was provided an ARC of this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Love Always by Carol Marinelli is a Christmas story that also introduces the Madison family. The locale is the beautiful Irish coast which makes ones envious of the Madison family who have a small vacation cottage there. While this story could happen anywhere, it is lovely that it does here.
Kate has had a difficult year, so a quiet holiday is sought. Liam, a former boyfriend has moved back there. Without a doubt, it is a second chance romance story. The young love was not meant to be years ago, but could it be now, is the question. Since they have grown up, found careers, and lost at love, they are not the same people as before. It is the discovery and attraction that the older Kate and Liam have that makes the story an interesting one. Also I liked the glimpses of the other family members and the people in the community.
A second chance with a first love, beautiful Ireland, and a Christmas story all rolled into one. It doesn’t get much better.
Kate Madison never forgot Liam O’Farrell, the boy she met while in Ireland one summer with her family. He was her first love. When Kate discovers her fiancé cheating and calls off the wedding, she decides to spend her Christmas holiday alone in Ireland. But Kate doesn’t spend the holiday alone when she finds out Liam is also single. Catching up couldn’t get much better and Kate soon finds herself falling in love all over again. And, that was the last thing Kate planned. Liam told Kate from the start, he doesn’t have time for a relationship. He’s too busy with his career. Being a doctor in a small town doesn’t leave much free time for anything. Will Kate and Liam be able to turn their temporary reunion into the happily ever after that they both deserve?
I was hooked on this story from the very start and when Kate landed in Ireland and saw Liam, I knew it would only get better from there. Second chance love stories are some of my favorites, so I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to reading the rest of the series with Kate’s sisters too. They played an important part in this book and I want to know more about them and learn their stories as well. The author did a fantastic job with all of the details. I felt like I really knew the characters when the book was over and even had great visuals of the Ireland scenery. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance in a beautiful location.
This was cute. It was a quick read and I enjoyed it. It dragged a little at some parts but overall I liked the story and the characters. This is my first read from this author and now I want more!
Love Always is a lovely introduction to the Madison Brides series. Kate Madison met Liam O’Farrell when she was 18 and he was 20. Her family was visiting Ireland, her father’s birthplace. They had a secret affair and fell in love, but were both too young to believe that their love was real or could last. They met again after they each suffered a failed relationship. This time around their luck would change for the better!
Sweet second chance romance with Christmas backdrop- the season of giving brings blessings and promises.
Kate is headed for a reprieve at the family cottage in Ireland after a terrible year. How is it possible that her first love is living in the town she first set eyes on him after he had dreams of the big city life.
Liam is an amazing and sexy doctor. So helpful to the people in his village, Liam has everyone wrapped. So when Kate is back in town of course he is nothing but sweet and nice, even though he felt she left him behind 10 years ago.
Loved the sweetness of this couple. The village and the people were charming. Hoping to get a second book with the sister and her sweet boy.
This is an awesome Christmas romance about rediscovering a love from ten years past. They both have had other relationships over the past ten years but not had Love like they share.
I look forward to reading more books by this fabulous author!
Love Always by Carol Marinelli. A second chance romance. Enjoyable storyline, loved the settings, and the characters pulled me in from the first page.
