I’ve said it before, and I will say it again, Cynthia Eden is a master of Romantic Suspense! I loved Remy and Kennedy, and their story kept me guessing until the end.
I love everything Cynthia Eden writes; she knows how to write engaging, suspenseful stories with hot romance added to the mix. I was riveted to her newest book, DON’T LOVE A LIAR. It is a fast paced, engaging story with characters that are easy to connect with and they have a lot of chemistry sparking between them. This is the second book in The Dark Sins series and each book is a stand alone.
The setting for this story takes place in New Orleans and the two main characters are Kennedy and Remy. Kennedy is a socialite and Remy is an FBI agent trying to get close to Kennedy to discover her secrets. What neither of them expects, is the immediate attraction they feel for each other. Kennedy is a beautiful, rich and smart woman and she and her twin brother are still trying to come to overcome their horrible childhood. It is believed Kennedy’s brother murdered his fiancé and then he disappeared.
Remy is trying to help Kennedy find her brother but there are many pieces to this intriguing puzzle. There is a serial killer out there and Remy needs to find him before he kills again. Remy has never been interested in a relationship, until he meets Kennedy. She is like a breath of fresh air and her kind and caring attitude is not what Remy expects.
Kennedy and Remy form a close bond as they work together trying to keep Kennedy safe and figure out who is killing women. This story had so many twists and turns and kept me guessing how everything would end. Remy and Kennedy have a powerful attraction and find it impossible to stay away from one another. Unfortunately, they both have secrets they are afraid to share with anyone. You don’t want to miss this intriguing story.
Cynthia Eden never fails to delight with a suspenseful romance. The plot was so intriguing and well-written that i finished it in one day. A+
I received an advanced reader copy of this book to leave an honest review. I have always been a huge fan of Cynthia Eden's works. Her paranormal, romance and thriller/suspense are all very well written and really engage the reader. I would recommend any of her books to a new reader.
This book is the second in the series and follows Remy St. Clair and Kennedy Clarke. Remy is not who he seems to be in this book; Kennedy doesn't know if she can trust him but she has no one else to turn to. Remy's job is to get close to Kennedy in order to catch a serial killer who is targeting women and specifically is targeting Kennedy. The police, FBI and media all think the killer is Kennedy's twin problem and all evidence points that way. Kennedy does not believe it at first even with the overwhelming evidence; she'll do anything to prove everyone wrong.
Remy still doesn't believe Kennedy's brother is innocent but he gets so involved in Kennedy that he will do anything to protect her. However his past catches up to him when Kennedy figures out his true motives and breaks her trust. Who will she turn to now? And can Remy protect her from the unknown threats?
This is a great book and very suspenseful. There is definitely an element of romance to it but the plot is more suspense/mystery than some of her other works. I thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the series and would recommend both to any reader.
DON'T LOVE A LIAR is the second book in Cynthia Eden's scintillating Dark Sins series. Remy St. Clair first appeared in the previous book in the series, DON'T TRUST A KILLER, where he was a wildcard with questionable loyalties and a nebulous past. In DON'T LOVE A LIAR, Remy seems to be at odds with himself over who he was and who he wants to be. Kennedy Clarke frustrates Remy as much as she attracts him because she makes him confront his past and the choices he's made. Kennedy Clarke is a woman embroiled in a scandal because her missing twin brother is being actively pursued in connection to some grisly "Broken Doll" serial killings. In true Cynthia Eden style, the themes of trust and betrayal are expertly showcased in this riveting story.
In DON'T LOVE A LIAR, Remy St. Clair is something of a revelation for me. I didn't give much thought to Remy in the previous book and saw him as not much more than a shadowy and silent tough guy, but here, Cynthia Eden really explores his depths. Additionally, Kennedy is in a world of chaos and crisis with her twin brother missing and hunted as a possible killer. Remy's job is to get close to her and capture her brother. It's difficult not to feel compassion for Kennedy and see her as a damsel in distress. With each landmine thrown in her path, Kennedy shows resiliency and slowly evolves into a woman who can face danger and survive. Remy is fiercely attracted to Kennedy, but his guilt over lying to her acts as a barrier to their budding relationship. The sexual tension is phenomenal and Cynthia Eden writes sizzling scenes worthy of any film noir classic. In many ways, this story feels like a classic Cynthia Eden tale, but there are a lot of elements that deviate from the norm. And these new elements convey a breathtakingly real sense of fear.
DON'T LOVE A LIAR is a thrill ride full of unexpected but intoxicating twists and turns. This story has a hero who gains insight into who he really is, and a heroine who is stronger than she thought she was. The romance is top-notch, but the mystery is fascinating as well and just as delectable. I eagerly await Cynthia Eden's next tale of red-hot romance and thrills.
I always love anything by Cynthia Eden. She's on my must buy list. Remy is just yummy. And Remy and Kennedy together is just great.
I was given this book for my honest review from Netgalley.
Cynthia Eden writes tortured heroes and heroines, sadistic killers, and creeptastic, dark suspense really well. She combines thrilling suspense with intense emotions and sizzling chemistry into stories that a reader cannot put down or walk away from after the last word. I should know because I just spent this past weekend reading every single book in this series.

I've received a ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I don't know what I was expecting but I sure wasn't expecting this! It literally left me on the edge of my seat. An action pack, drama-filled romance that blew me away with not only the characters, the storyline and overall writing style.
Trying to find the serial killer has Remy hands full but when he assigned as Kennedy "P.I", he finds himself catching feelings and romance enures. Definitely a must read!
Kennedy Clark is the town's bad girl, well that's her reputation anyway. Everyone believes her twin brother Kyle is a serial killer and is responsible for killing his fiance. Kennedy is doing everything she knows to find him and prove his innocence, even hiring a PI that she knows nothing about.
Remy St, Clair can be anything that he needs to be for his job, a criminal, thief, mob boss, killer, etc... Its all he knows since his parents were murdered. Remy is called in when cases are going no where and is a secret weapon for the FBI until he meets Kennedy.
Kennedy has been questioned by the cops so many times that she knows they will not help her because they believe that she is helping her brother or hiding him. They refuse to believe anything else. When Remy starts getting close to Kennedy she lets some of her secrets out and because she thinks she can trust him, only he takes that information and goes to the FBI hating his job the whole time.
As Remy and Kennedy grow closer, he hates lying to her and promises to tell her the truth once they find her brother, only he doesn't get the chance, she figures it out on her own and she automaticallly believes she can't trust him... only he's fallen in love with her and will do anything to prove it to her.
One thing I always know to do is not read a Cynthia Eden book in the dark, but this one I took the chance, granted I had bad dreams but it was so worth it. Don't Love A Liar was everything Cynthia promises you when you enter a world she creates and much more. Remy and Kennedy's story was twisted and pulls you in. It doesn't matter if you think you know where the story is taking you it throws you for so many more turns and the ending to this book is no different. I thought I had the killer figured out .... nope it was totally unexpected.
Remy, Remy, Remy. Oh my goodness he is so good at being bad. This book has a great plot, great characters (both good and bad), twists, turns and romance. I love it!
He’s been a criminal, a thief, and a killer. He’s the hero who rushes in to save to day and he does whatever it takes to save the day. Don’t Love a Liar ignites passions but also lots of emotions from readers as they try to decide whether Kennedy should trust this man, love this man or kick him to the curb. The characters are strong, vivid and readers easily connect to them as they try to decide who to trust. The romance between these two sizzle with lots of chemistry and has sparks flying as the pages heat up but this relationship has a big obstacle – Kennedy is a suspect and Remy is there to get the truth. Lots of emotional turmoil adds depth to these characters bringing them to vibrant life and ensuring that readers are ensnared by their story.
The fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers biting their nails in anticipation of what will happen next as danger comes calling and Kennedy becomes caught in a tangled web of secrets and lies. Surprising twists ensure that readers can’t be sure of the just who is behind the killings until the very end. Once again, the author brings her story to life with well written words that paint brilliant images that make it easy for the reader to imagine and really get a feel for the characters and their emotions in this stirring romantic suspense.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Hocus Pocus for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I truly enjoy Ms. Eden' s books. They have the right amount of romance, mystery and suspense for me. I believe that this is part of a series, but it reads well as a stand alone. This book kept me guessing!! I love that! I think most romance readers would enjoy. Instant attraction but still a great read. I rate it 4 stars.
Cynthia Eden never disappoints. This is nail biting romantic suspense at it's finest. FBI agent, Remy is trying to find a serial killer and to do so he must go undercover and get close to Kennedy. The FBI suspect Kennedy's brother is the killer and that she's helping or hiding him. When Remy realizes that Kennedy is innocent, his developing feelings for her start getting in the way of his professionalism. Kennedy has trouble trusting anyone but Remy seems like the real thing. Unfortunately he has lied to her from the beginning. The killer is coming after Kennedy and everyone is a suspect. Excellent.
An absolutely fantastic story.

Book 2 in the Dark Sins series, Don’t Love a Liar, is an edge of your seat romantic suspense. Dynamic characters and well developed storyline made for thriller of a ride and I will surely be looking to read more.
If you are a fan of Cynthia Eden's, you will love this book. A great romantic suspense, I highly recommend.
This is the second book in this series and after reading Don't love a Killer I couldn't wait for Remy's story
Kennedy Clarke's life is crashing down around her Her twin brother Kyle is suspected of been the broken doll killer in fact his fiancee isone of the victims. Now her brother is missing and she will do whatever it takes to clear his name eventually she finds a PI that is willing to help her. Remy St Clair isn't what he seems he isn't a PI at all he is one of the FBI's top investigators he can blend in anywhere and his current case is Kennedy. What he doesn't expect is to start to fall in love with the woman he is tricking and when the kille sets his sights on Kennedy his protective instincts come to the fore. This is a story with plenty of twists and turns to keep you enthralled allow yourself plenty of time to read because once you start this book you won't want to put it down.
This new series by Cynthia Eden are amazing stories with a twist on titles. Don’t take for granted early in in the reading of these stories that you know who the title is truly targeting. In Don't Love A Liar, there is a man who would surely describe himself as a chameleon. He may seem like the villain in his own eyes, but the reader knows better.
This series has characters who defy the regular roles usually seen in romances, making them such interesting people, especially Remy and Kennedy. Then the intrigue is complex so that you are right there with the characters trying to solve it as they do. This leads to the twists and turns that neither they nor you saw coming. A top-notched romantic suspense.
Love this seies and pretty much any book she writes.
Characters were awesome, plot was good and loved the whole "mystery" of who done it.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the advance read.
Don't Love A Liar by Cynthia Eden is book Two in the Dark Sins series. This is the story of Kennedy Clarke and Remy St. Clair. I have read the previous book, but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Remy is a FBI Agent who is used to going under cover and being whatever he needs to be to the people that he is spying on. When he is asked to get close to Kennedy he quickly learns that there is more to this story and her. Kennedy is beside herself trying to prove her brother's innocence when he is being looked at as a killer. With him missing it is adding to the question about him.
This was a really exciting read!
